    Frozen yogurt

There is also greek frozen yogurt at the store too, it's by the 'healthy' frozen meals sections...even has 5 gm's protein and 100 cal per single serving.

    Hate winter

Hmmm, I have to say I have never heard that before...6 months seems a bit ridiculous. My doc was happy to hear that I had been walking at 3 weeks.

    Congrat's, youlook great!
  4. I was told that 1200 cal a day was more for the maintenance period and that to be losing calories ahould be 700 to 800. I'm sorry you are going through all this..I can't imagine how frustrating it must be.

    First date

Good luck selbradey! I agree with one other poster...if it's horrible it will allow for some great stories for later! My friends and I still laugh about some of the train wreck dates/guys I met! lol At least you'll be looking good with your new outfit!

    How do you reward yourself?

So far I have not rewarded myself but I love the zip-lining reward! That is something I have always wanted to try but have been too big! I also think another good reward is an amusement park or some other thing that being too big has stopped you from enjoying! (I am thinking bigger rewards here like woohoo 100lbs gone) I think pedi's re always a great idea or getting a new haircut (I'm saving that for when my hair falls out). Purses are a great reward too...doesn't matter how skinny you get that purse will still look great! lol

    All of my December sleevers...

    I was sleeved 12-11, and I'm down 32 lbs since surgery. :-)
  11. I'm 3 weeks out also and I have an easier time drinking water when it's room temperature. Little by little I am trying to get it colder but the cold stuff still feels pretty heavy going down. This will eventually get better and we will be 'normal' except for our smaller portions (which should be normal) and not drinking with meals. Good luck and make sure to get some rest!
  12. That is not dumping syndrome. Dumping syndrome is when your food is sent to your small intestine without having been properly digested. You will feel miserable and there isn't really anything you can do but to let it pass.

    Take Home Meds...

Most surgical patients are on blood thinners in the hospital and then at home if the patient or familym ember has a history of blood clots.

    I'm overweight!

Congrat's, that's awesome! I hope to be saying that in the nextyear!
  17. Wow, congrat's! You look amazing! I love love love before and afters (and durings too)
  18. I am 3 weeks out today and just started being able to do plain water and even now it cannot be cold (which I loved ice water before). It literally felt like lead rolling down into my belly, room temp water does go down easier though. I added protein nectar to my water and even that made it go down easier. It gets better every single day, so don't get to worried that it's going to be like this forever!

    Scared, not enough support,

Well, I think one of the other posters is right. Your husband sounds insecure, maybe he believes once you are thinner that you will leave? Sometimes you also just have to be blunt, explain your reasons for doing this surgery and explain that some of the costs don't have to be that great (thrift stores, saving on fast food etc.) and let him know that he can either be there for you and support you or not. Maybe he just needs to hear it straight out? My husband was supportive of the surgery but he does say/do things that hurt and I have gone the direct route and he doesn't always 'get it' but tries to do better. I wish you the best of luck though, I am sure that it's very difficult.

    Freezing all the time

I'm freezing too and I have never been the one in my house to complain about being cold! lol Yesterday I was wearing slippers fleece long sleeve pj's and a full lengtth thick fleece robe and my thermostat was set at 72 deg!
  21. It might also be that time of month? I gained a pound and then didn't lose for like 5 days the week before my period.

    Paid Trail Studies

I have been asked to participate in a study...non-paying but I really don't mind.
  23. number one is your fave chap stick...so dry in the hospital!!! I also brought a robe (I personally felt more comfortbly covered with my own), my cell phone with charger, and slippers. Might want to wear slip on shoes to the hospital too and the slip on slippers otherwise you have to ask for help (which I don't like to do). Good luck!
