My doc says not to eat anything the day of your appointment but some water is ok, just not too close to your appointment. Good luck with your first fill!

Help me say good-bye to non-bandland
kimalicious replied to Wheetsin's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Woohoo!! You are going to do great, keep us posted on your recovery. I will be ready for the first "gas pain sucks" post from you!! -
My question is, would these be the types of things you would have to take off work for the cleansings and such? I have also heard of some docs putting you out before they do a colonic, has anyone else heard of this and if so where can I find that?

I am looking for JOB w/lap band INSURANCE
kimalicious replied to meli's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
http://www.citigroup.com/citigroup/careers/homepage/ this is the link to the website for jobs at my company. In the Las Colinas, Irving, Coppell area there are a few large call centers and lots of new branches opening up locally throught DFW. Good luck with your search. Out of pocket I probably paid about $700 total for everything, fills are $50 each time also. I used United Healthcare when I had my surgery and used an out of network surgeon. Hope this helps. -
God I love this woman, I just spit all over my computer! Bwahahahaha! What's really sad is it is truth!

Stainless Steel Sink advice needed......
kimalicious replied to princess_n_thep's topic in The Lounge
No matter what product you use make sure you are using a scouring pad when cleaning the stainless steel sinks, this gets it all up for me. -
I was such a good girl yesterday! There was 3 birthdays and 3 different cake passed around at work and I didn't take one piece! No cake was eaten yesterday! I did eat the breakfast taco I got from Lezlie but I only ate the eggs and sausage inside and only about half of that and didn't eat the tortilla. I was good all day long!! Breakfast: 100 calorie pack cookies and half of inside of breakfast taco: 300 calories Lunch: 1/2 chargrilled chicken sandwich w/ lo fat mayo and 1/2 order small fries: 300 calories snack: 100 calorie pack cookies: 100 calories Dinner: 100 calorie bag o popcorn: 100 calories Totalling: 800 calories I also did my Gazelle for 30 minutes to burn 270 calories!! -270 calories I've been getting all of my water in and started taking 2 childrens chewable vitamins yesterday. I have realized that the 30 minutes on the Gazelle doesn't do much for my heart rate and sweat factor like it used to. I need more to get my heart going, which is a good thing of course, but means I am going to have to spend more time working out if I just use my Gazelle. WHO has that kinda time. I will have to figure more exercises out and get out my tapes to follow along to. WOOHOO, I am also down 1 more pound!! 6 pounds away from Onederland!! TODAY IS THE DAY!!! Slim & Slutty by Summer!! My newest mantra!

To me the obsession and addiction is not actively thought. It just happens subconsiously for both of them and I wouldn't think any obsession or addiction would make me happy, yes, it makes me happy when I eat bad things, but just as soon as I'm done the realization of what I did hits me and the obsessive and addictive thoughts happen again. To me they go hand in hand I guess, and you can't have one without the other to some extremes. Any thoughts??

OK, I have been really working at my weightloss all weekend, doin really good and then today at work there are 2 birthdays in my area meaning 2 birthday cakes. One is my favorite cookie cake with icing and then the other, which is freakin awesome, it's cake on the bottom, vanilla ice cream in the middle and more cake on the top, then topped with icing. God I wanna die. I WILL NOT EAT CAKE!!! I WILL NOT EAT CAKE!!! It's like people are trying to make this really hard for me today and my caffeine headache will not go away either. I'm on DAY 3 of no caffeine!! Why must my co workers mock me by having their birthdays the day I am trying to be good!! NO CAKE!!

No Jenna I must have missed that one in all my years of watching. How did it go??

I was thinking about what Donali said and about the pysical things that happen in your body with addictions, the same is for obsessions. I think I am very obsessive with many things also. What is the difference between obsession and addiction??? I know the lanquage difference, but do they produce the same things in your brain? I've always said I'm addicted to food, but I am also obsessive about it???

So far it has helped for me! For 2 weeks this month I ate everything in sight, but because it was such small portions I didn't gain any weight back. So when I started getting serious again I just picked back up where I left off. THIS is the very reason I love my band! It wasn't always like this though. I had to get my restricition right with my fills beforeI could do this. I did gain weight back in the beginning when I wasn't keeping up with my fills.
-
YEA!!! I'm glad you made it through!! The pain will subside. It took about 3 days for me before I felt human again. Keep to the bandster rules and you will do great!!!
-
Thanks FD and Shanna, I just recently bought some new and slim fitting clothes so maybe that will make the difference. Maybe I am wrong though. Maybe I throw the compliments away because I think people are saying them just to be nice. I just recalled a guy on my team at work say to me that I was " wastin away ". I laughed it off but I guess that means he noticed. SO I do have a story! In my own denial about my weight loss I threw it to the curb as him just trying to be nice. Hmmmm. I should think on that.

Catholic? What are you giving up during Lent???
kimalicious replied to StartingOver's topic in The Lounge
Tommy, I will so pray for you. So ok, I don't pray in a Christian sense, but I do pray in a worldly way. I know how much you love the peanut butter. I want to join in on lent. I'm not religious, but I wanna play too! I will have to think of something that will be hard for me and try not to make it too easy on myself....I will post again when I figure it out...hmmmm -
Never thought of that. The meds could have surely been a factor. I will have to remember that next time I take something like that to see if it happens again. Thank goodness I haven't needed any pain meds since my surgery for anything. I would hope to keep it that way, ha!

Ok, I think it's clear! There is no more cake roaming around and I have not gotten any of it, and was able to turn down all the offers! Phew, that was a tough one! Now only 7 more hours till bed, Sweet Pete this has been a long fighting day!
