Surgery: May 23, 2013 229lbs. CW: 188 lbs. My hair started falling out 2 weeks after my surgery and stopped about 3 weeks ago. I haven't noticed that it's growing back yet...however, i did keep coloring my hair. I think it's fine. The hair loss is going to happen NO MATTER WHAT. It's part of the drastic change in our body's nutrition.... It should grow back in time (i HOPE, cuz i was VERY thin before and i'm VERY VERY thin now...)

Turning a corner with hair loss?.

Indigo: Sleeved May 23/cw: 194, This has been a real trial for me, too....i was already thin and when my hair started falling out 2 weeks after surgery it was scary.....and it has been scary ever since. BUT...just like you...today was the FIRST day my hair wasn't all over the counters and clumps in my comb. So happy about that; and it just might be for TODAY, but i will take it! I'd do it all over again even knowing that i would lose so much hair. Toppix is my best friend and i use rogaine to keep the follicles healthy. I quit stylng my hair last week and just use curling creme and let it be. I know it will cease at some point and grow back and i can live with that..... -
Sleeved May 23, 2013 - down 44 lbs. - i eat whatever i want, too! i've had soda and other things that we probably "shouldn't".....i just am grateful for the LITTLE bit that i allow myself to have and enjoy it....I am still losing weight and couldn't be happier or feel any healthier. thanks for sharing! (i tell my friends that i had a stomach amputation - not a lobotomy...it's still me in here!)

Sleeved on 05/23; hair started falling out 2 weeks later and has not stopped. If it didn't have Toppick to use i would never leave the house.

Well said. -
Confession time! I did quit smoking before surgery and i am cheating now. i have had 2 cigarettes this week. i DOT NOT want to become a full time smoker again, but i know i'm headed for trouble just smoking occassionally. I've tried it before, and it didn't work. Additionally, my doctor told me that should i smoke after surgery that i am running the risk of developing ulcers in my sleeve. Good luck!
