Ticker- Go to the top of the page and click on your user name. The ticker part is on the bottom left of the list that comes up. It is kinda fun to set up! -
Do/did you exercise?
kitkat replied to shrinkadonk's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My doc said to walk at least a mile a day starting two weeks before surgery and everyday afterwards. He insisted that we walk a mile as soon as we could and kept a chart in our rooms to mark the number of laps around the hospital floor. I just got off the treadmill and went about half a mile but I got dizzy so I stopped. Maybe too much considering the number of calories I'm taking in? I was sleeved on the 18th. I will try a little more each day. -
Hi, I am 4 days out and have some pain on my left side but if it is bad call your doctor. Better safe than sorry! Feel better
-
wow you are doing really well! I was sleeved on the 18th and am still working on the protein. I hope to be at 60 tomorrow. I am ok on fluids. I am on a liquid diet which includes yougurt and cream soup no problems as of yet. I also get a weird spasm but not under my sternum it is right under my rib cage on the left where the drain was. I haven't had any problems with feeling full yet. I am also napping a lot even without pain meds. My only complaint is that the staples are itchy. They are drying up and starting to pull. I go and have them out on the 27th so not much longer. I think the best day I've had is when I got to take a hot shower! It is cold here and it hit the spot! Hope everything stays great!

4 days post-op: Down 16 Pounds... not fat?
kitkat commented on castiel's blog entry in castiel's Blog
HI! Congrats! I had my sleeve done on Tuesay and I am down to 231 from 238 so not as much as you but not bad. My highest weight was 257 and my sugery weight was 238 thanks to the liquid diet. I am so tired of liquids and like you can't wait for mashed food. Sounds silly but it is true. I was also walking soon after surgery and felt like a loner. Not many people walked a lot. Maybe that is why they stayed an extra day in the hospital! I am fighting headaches maybe not drinking enough but I am trying to get in four ounces an hour. Almost there. Hope all goes well for you! -

Wrapping Day 6 of 10 Pre-Op Liquid Diet & feel exhausted & scared
kitkat replied to SoonerSleever2013's topic in Pre-op Diets and Questions
I am right there with you! I am scheduled for tomorrow morning and I am so scared! Everyone on this site is very supportive and I hope to report back soon on my progress! I am just as emotional and everything happening in the world is really getting to me! I did break down and cry several times in the past two days. Maybe its the lack of food that is making me so emotional? -
How much is too much pain?
kitkat replied to PoohSoup0803's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My suggestion is that you go see you doctor! Mine has told me over and over that any pain that is consistant or over a three is not ok to just deal with. Better safe than sorry right? -

My parents tried too and I am a 40 year old widow with two kids and have been out of thier house for a very long time. I had to stand strong because I have to do this for me and my health. You know what is best for you! If you really want this and you are ready do what you know is best! Never doubt yourself. -
Thanks! I just joined this site about half an hour ago so I appreciate your answers. I am hoping that everything goes as well for me as it has for you. Keep up the good work!
