Bleaching creams don't work. This is caused by the over production of insulin in the body. Unless that's regulated the darkness will be there. See the comment above that gives the exact cause for it.

My mother is going with me next week and she will have dental work done but my coordinator at Dr. Ortiz office said that there's a dentist about 10 min away that will do her work.

One week from today will be my turn. Nervous and Excited and Anxious to get it started.

My BF and I have been together off and on for a year. Right now we're on and he's supportive of me having this done. Last year was hell for me. I realized that he has insecurities within himself that we haven't found the root of that yet. He's tall, dark, and handsome. Women throw themselves at him at every opportunity and he felt he had to oblige. After all the fights and the "final" walk out on the relationship he vowed to make a change and get help for his issues. Pre op he had no concern of me cheating or leaving him. Now that I'm going through with this he is really stepping up to be my "ideal" but I fear that this is the start of him being insecure about me still being with him. He's done a 180 too quick and has me suspicious or am I creating a situation??? Or am I still engaging in negative thoughts that I am not worthy of this Adonis of Man to truly want me??? Anybody understand what I mean?

I'm on the 21st too. How is ur Pre op diet going for u? I was doing good initially. The past 3 days I ate a chicken salad 1 day, Asian lettuce wraps the second, and today another chicken salad. In my mind I'm replacing the diet meal but those meals I ate were more calories but I was starving. I have lost 7 lbs and really need to lose another 8 to atleast do the 5% weight loss pre op. I'm nervous. Just 1 wk to go!

I'm 10 days away and 7lbs away from pre op weight loss goal. I'm getting nervous and anxious. I've had 2 slip ups with food but made it healthy food: salad and chicken lettuce wraps. Going all day drinking only 2 shakes til dinner had my sugar dipping and giving me a headache. I think that I will have my 1 healthy meal for lunch instead if dinner and do a shake for dinner instead. I've tried to stop smoking which I've done better than I thought but I did break down and smoke some yesterday. That calmed the craving and today I didn't even think about it. Hopefully I can stay that way. I can't wait to get this done!

I'm scheduled for 1/21 and today was my first day on the pre op diet. Also my first day being smoke free. It was a lil bit hard but I made it through. Can't wait to get this done!

I'm scheduled for 1/21/13 and on the 7th will start pre op diet and no smoking. This I know will be extremely hard for me. I was able to refrain during 2 pregnancies with only a few slip ups on extreme stressful days (not proud!) so now I'm wondering what is the rule about smoking post up?

I have battled with my weight for years like many. And not unlike those who are battling with the scale I have issues with depression, self esteem, and health. I have tried sooo many diets starting from freshman year in high school. Some I had success and others none at all. So much money wasted on trainers, memberships, special food, medications, videos, equipment, therapist and no long term results. Granted some techniques I didn't give it my all and others once I started to see the results that became the trigger to start eating again. After a year of research and attending seminars I decided to have the Gastric Plication done...in Mexico with Dr. Ariel Ortiz. I am excited and nervous. Surgery is scheduled for January 21, 2013. My starting weight now is 210. Surgery date it should be 200. My highest was 240. I've lost 40lbs through the HGC shots and diet medications that I've been on for a year. I hope to have long term success and recover from some of the ailments that are preventing me from living my life to the fullest...

Wow! I'm glad I choose the sleeve. I definitely think I'll have better results and the surgeons are more experienced in it.
