Syntrax Nectar Protien Shakes
hannahg19 replied to petra1124's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My favorite so far out of the samples I got are fuzzy navel, strawberry kiwi, and crystal sky. I loved cappuccinos before surgery so I tried the cappuccino one and it ended up being too sweet to me. That's odd for me to say something is too sweet lol -

I have ordered my samples from www.bariatricpantry.com. The shipping was free and only took 2 days to get them in. -
Nausea and being tired -- 3 weeks post op
hannahg19 replied to toodabarn's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am feeling that as I am typing right now. At first I thought it was because I hadn't ate anything yet so I was going to try some yogurt but as soon as I took a little bite, I felt like I was going to puke. So I quit eating that. Idk what else to do so I'm going to call my doctor asap -
I am about 2 weeks out and started the pureed stage today. I am drinking Protein shakes and decided to try a different kind than what i usually drink. I got Premier Protein chocolate, the premade shakes. Well i just tried one and to me it has a bad after taste so i can not stand to drink it. How can i make it taste better? i got a 12 pack so i have to drink them so im not wasting my money. Thanks

Help with Protein Shakes
hannahg19 replied to hannahg19's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thanks everyone!! I was trying it warmish so I tried cold and I still can't stand it. I think my taste buds have just changed because I used to like protein shakes. I may have to try masking the flavor with something like peanut butter. -

hannahg19 replied to 2dreamkrazii's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yeah, I bet I watched this about 3-4 times before I had my surgery. I liked showing my family and friends the videos that had the most blood, just to watch their reactions lol -
Sorry- this may be TMI!!!! i had my surgery on January 9th and I was on my period! During my experience, having my period was horrible. The nurse that prepped me for surgery, told me i couldnt wear my undies with my pads. They made be go into surgery just in my gown, that was embarrassing because they had to put in a catheter so when I woke up and in my hospital room, the first thing I asked was if I still had it in! I got upset because I had to walk up and down the halls with my catheter and my gown on only and the whole time I was worried about leaving drippings in the hallway or having blood leak through to the back of my gown! And then when one of the nurses had to take out my catheter I was embarrassed because the nurse had to deal with taking out the cath that possibly was covered in blood. But all the nurses reassured me that it was their job and they didn't mind about that because they were used to it. The nurses help with making sure their patients feel comfortable. I hope you aren't on it too like I was. But if so, then the nurses will help you deal with it during surgery and even after for recovery. Good luck on your future surgery!!

Hey everyone my name is hannah. This is my first post on here ever! I had the sleeve surgery on January 9,2013. The first two days were not that great. After being out of surgery for a few hours I got a breathing treatment. And it was only about 15 mins after that, that I started to puke up blood and bile. That was a little scary but I recovered from that spell quickly. Then a couple of hours after that I had another breathing treatment and that one made me puke also. So the surgeon had to do a endoscopy to make sure everything was alright, which everything was. He just said that the breathing treatment chemicals probably didn't agree with me so he stopped all of the breathing treatments. I had to stay an extra day in the hospital so my stay was for 2 days and I finally got released to go home on Friday the 12th. I was so glad to be out of the hospital and in my own room. So here I am on day 4 of post op. I am still sore, But the thing that hurts the most is my incision sites every time I try to sit down or stand up. But I am still able to push though the soreness and get up and walk. I am a newbie at this post op thing, so I may end up asking questions or asking for some advice. So here is a Thank you in advance! Surgeon- Dr. Sudhakaren at Herrin hospital in Southern Illinois Starting weight- 345 Day of surgery- 319 Post op day 4- 312

Awesome! Glad your doing good. I try to drink at least 2 oz every 15 mins to try and get to the required amount of 64 oz a day. But I still haven't met that goal yet. I will be looking forward to reading more about your process as we both advance in the sleeve. Good luck! ????

Thank you. Good luck on your journey also. I keep sipping and walking as much as I can stand. I can definitely tell the walking is helping since I can walk better than the first day. I will be looking forward to hearing about your process also!
