You look amazing!! But you were a "sassy" big girl!!

I was wondering if the time off for the post op recovery period was paid by short term disability or not. Obviously this is an elective surgery but I wasn't sure how that worked. It probably just depends on your company? Anyone able to share?

I'm still pre-op' date=' but I set my weight goal for a healthy BMI because, to me, it doesn't make sense to do this and still be overweight or obese. I have seen so many people on here accomplish such great weight loss and I am definitely dedicated to doing the necessary work to get there, so I don't think that having a goal weight will make losing any more difficult, just more rewarding.[/quote']I didn't set a goal either. But this makes so much sense!! I'm pre-sleeve and feel like I have an insurmountable amount of weight to lose. But I know that I must have faith that this can be done!

Yes I'm starting to see that. I did get a call from the insurance coordinator today saying I didn't need to do anything additional...so that was positive!

So after being told by the Drs office that all of my info had been submitted to insurance for approval...I get a call from my Nurse advocate with the insurance company to give me a laundry list of info that they have yet to submit. Apparently the info was submitted some time ago and requests for additional info have not been fulfilled. And come to find out..I need additional clearance from a cardiologist. Man I thought this process would be so much easier!! Especially since I did everything that the docs office asked for. Having such a grrrrr moment!!
