Hello' date='I'm a new to the site and was sleeved 4/16 by Dr. Parillo. I'm doing okay just feel really weak and having trouble drinking the fluids and getting enough fluids...I cannot wait to get moved to puréed[/quote']
You will do fine. And just remember that every week gets better and better.

I was barely getting in 700 calories until yesterday. The manual that I was provided by the docs office says that it's best to get between 1000 and 1300 calories for optimum weight loss. I must say that I've been in stall after stall but I've started losing again after I increased the intake.

I had surgery on 3/26 and am having a tough time. I can't drink any liquids and am lucky if I get a couple of swallows down. Nothing taste good even Water. Did you or anyone have a tough start. I'm tired of reading how great the surgery is.
The surgery for me was no cake walk in the beginning. I couldn't get in enough Fluid and was borderline dehydrated. I was nauseated constantly and couldn't move my bowels for about 3.5 weeks. I fought depression for about four weeks. But now I sometimes have to remind myself that I even had the surgery. I do still fight to get in Protein and water but even that's getting better. So I can promise that if you hang in there things will get much better. Those first few weeks were the worst but it should get easier every day.

DOS 2.26Currently holding at 19 lbs from DOS. I'm a little bummed about it' date=' but I have not been getting all fluids in nor Protein. It is getting much better. I do a real good job getting liquids in during the work day.
When the weekend comes around, its a bust! I also find I'm want more to drink after working out.
I have 3 weeks more before I can go on pureed food! I guess I will have a celebratory Protein Shake on my Birthday!!! :-)[/quote']
Man that is a long time to be on full liquids. I started pureed food the second week after surgery. But if its what your doc ordered then hang in there. My surgery date was 2/26 also and I still have a hard time getting everything in. The days will get better.

So i am one week post opand started pureed foods today....?de15 I had a scrambled egg with a tsp of melted cheese and 1/4 of a banana that i blended with 2tsp of soy milk and 1 tsp of natural peanut butter.........not too bad; i do think i needed to blend the eggs with a tad bit of broth or soomething cause they were kinda dry and felt a bit "strange" going down' date=' but i ate about half the egg and half the banana and i was full.......i can also start taking my supplements today which is good because this feeling of weakness has got to go.......but doing well, i have lost 30 lbs from my high weight and 16 since day of surgery, unbelievable.........?de1c?de1c?de1c?de04Sent from my iPad using VST[/quote']

I'm in the exact same boat. Sleeved 2/26 but haven't seen the scale move all of last week. I do realize that my body is like "what the French toast just happened", so I refuse to get discouraged and just keep pushing. Hang in there....We will be victorious!!

Good for you! We are on the same schedule! My surgery was 2/26 also and I am down 28 total in 30 days. 18 pre op and 10 post op. tomorrow will be two weeks since surgery. What a journey! Keep it up!
Thanks and great job to you also. I have started to walk and am doing better today with Water and Protein. So hopefully the weight will start moving again.

I can definitely attest to that. I haven't lost any significant weight in about a month. I've been fluctuating within the same weight range. But I went clothes shopping this weekend and was able to get into a size 20 pants and jeans(I started at a size 28). So even though I weigh everyday, I try not to get upset when the scale doesn't move. My doctor told me that I'm past the six month mark and it will become harder to lose the pound so sticking to the plan is key! Congrats on your success!
