I need to vent about this sucky pre op diet
bryantcj replied to lwilliams65's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I drink the total lean strawberry shake from GNC. It is really good and I'm a very finicky person!! Hang in there. On another note...I've been on the preop diet since Tuesday and already lost 6 lbs. Hang in there!! MRSBRYANT -

I found out this week that plain Yogurt is just plain disgusting. I bought sugar free Jello and 2 packets of Splenda to mix in. I don't know if Splenda is off limits also though. MRSBRYANT -

So I finally received insurance approval this week. My surgery is set for 2/26. I've gone through so many emotions now that this is all becoming reality. I wonder if I will truly be able to do this. I'm afraid of failing and just praying that this will finally be the end of this journey of losing and gaining. I'm not trying to be skinny....I just want to live!! My babies need me and I have to do this for them just as much as for myself. I'm looking forward to being able to be physically active enough to take them to the park, ride bikes etc. Even though I'm nervous I'm also excited at the thought of the new me! I've read so many posts here over the past few months and am so inspired by all of the inspirational and insightful posts. So since my family doesn't agree with my decision to have the surgery...this message board has been my source of support through this process. I'm looking forward to walking through this journey with lots of support from fellow sleevers! Sent from my ADR6330VW using VST

This might be a dumb question but..

I was wondering if the time off for the post op recovery period was paid by short term disability or not. Obviously this is an elective surgery but I wasn't sure how that worked. It probably just depends on your company? Anyone able to share? -
