  1. Hey everyone. I'm scheduled for surgery 2/27. Super excited/ happy/ nervous. Anyone else on 2/27 or from PA/NJ?

Also wondering what happens if I were to get sick before surgery? I am practically putting myself in a bubble because I don't want to get delayed.

  2. Ok' date=' one week into waiting, impatiently <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' /> Anyone have Horizon BCBS NJ? If so, how long did it take for you?[/quote']

Hi drm. I have bcbs nj and was approved in less than two weeks. Scheduled for 2/27. Where in nj are you? I actually live in pa but work in nj

  3. Things I can't wait for:

Fitting in airplane seats and seat belts

    No more lane Bryant

Sexy panties and bra from Victoria secret

    No more chub rub

Taking part in activities like zip lining and helicopter rides

People to stop judged me by weight

To walk up steps and not be out of breath

To put my socks and shoes on without sitting down to reach

To be able to cut and paint my own toe nails

To not wear a bathing suit skirt.

To fit in MY dining room chairs that have arms instead of avoiding them for the ones without

I could go on forever and I actually have a list I keep with me and add to when I think of things. February 27 can not come soon enough!

  4. Hi everyone. My name is Kristi. I live in the Philadelphia PA area. I just received my insurance approval call today!!!! I will be sleeved on 2/27 and i am super excited and a little scared. But i guess thats normal. I am 31 years old. No kids. Currently weigh 303 which is the highest I have ever been...

I have a pretty active life for a fat girl. I scuba dive, ski, walk, zumba and weight train. I am hoping with surgery, diet, and exercise, i am not too flabby everywhere.

Its great to hear from everyone and excited to share this journey!!

  5. I had this in one foot. I had all the cortisone shots ad they would help for a bit. Also had physicAl therapy for it for a while. but then eventually came back. Eventually had surgery on the foot that had it. Best decision. But now have it bad in the other foot and would rather wait to have surgery and lose weight. I honestly believe it is brought on by weight.

This helps for me. Freeze an ice bottle and roll your foot on that. Also do that with a tennis ball. Also, get a towel and wrap that around the bottom if your foot and pull the ends up toward you. AND stay off of it for a few days while doing the above.
