  1. That Sucks!!!! As for the pain from cramps...you will be nicely dosed with morphine (at least I was) and then you get liquid vicodin. As for the sanitary reasons...I wouldn't worry about that...I mean these people are supposed to be medical professionals I think they have seen it all...and something like menstruation is probably easily handled for them.

But that still Sucks! I'm sorry it worked out that way.

Aceves doesn't use morphine nor Vicodin. You will get sublingual Supradol which will help if you are crampy.

  2. Thank you Lander!

This is the type of thing I'm infamous for... losing things in plain sight. But my hubs and I tore up every purse' date=' tote, and suitcase as well as every "important" filing area... we're at a loss. What a pain in the ass![/quote']

One of the people that came back with me didn't have theirs and it was fine. Email Nina for advice, but you should be fine with license and birth certificate. Good luck!

  3. don't have any reservations about choosing this medical team!

Arrived at hospital @ 7:30 am. Was in the OR before 9:30am. Received excellent care for 3 days. No complications

Today is 8 wks out - my BMI was 33.6

As of today I have lost 30 lbs.and my BMI is down to 28.7

Only downside is the lack of nutritionist support' date=' but I have found lots of help on this site.

    Good luck[/quote']

Have you emailed Gaby with your nutrition questions? She checks with Dr. Campos and always gets right back to me.

  4. The steak strips I was referring to are the costco version of beef Jerky (I believe the actual title is Kirkland Signature Steak Strips). They're sold with the beef jerky in the Snacks section of the store (in my store that's right up front near the cash registers). They are way better than the other beef jerky brands costco sells.

Oh' date=' btw, Trader Joe's sells jerky too, and their flavors are pretty good, but not as good (IMHO) as the Costco steak strips.[/quote']

I find Oberto to be quite salty. So much, in fact, that I can't eat it. How do these compare?

  5. Man after surgery I have something new to talk about everyday lol. Seriously though I am way too prissy for diarrhea all the time. I get the urge and I just wanna cry cos I'm so grossed out by my body right now. Gas was disturbing enough and now diarrhea?? How do people ever feel sexy after surgery if they are constantly blowing ass and pooping brown Water... Not cool folks.

Enjoy it while you can, the next phase is likely to be months of Constipation. :(

  6. I take Prilosec morning and night and Zantac in the afternoon.

My doc actually said to not take Tums because while they help for the short-term, in the long-term they cause more problems. I don't know if this is true or not.

Hope you find relief soon - I have been there.

  7. As for threads going into the toilet' date=' I don't know what to say about that. There are a handful of members I can think of that seem to love their reputation for coming onto threads and making comments that don't really pertain to much of anything and are certainly not useful in any way and take it from there.

Agreed. What's even more unfortunate is that the vets give these frivolous posts a 'like' which further encourages this behavior.

  8. Sleeved Dec 5th down 78 lbs. I am having an issue that I wondered if anyone else is experiencing. When I have a bowel movement I am getting sick. I am literally grabbing a trash can an heaving. It doesn't happen everytime and I don't have any symptoms prior with an upset stomach.

I am sorry to hear that you are suffering like this. Are you straining while having a BM?

  9. I have become obsessed with Silk Soy vanilla Milk with one scoop of Chia seeds in my shaker cup! It is a nice Protein boost (from the Silk' date=' sometimes I add unflavored protein powder), and you can crunch on the little Chia seeds in the milk. Chia has REALLY helped with Constipation, and it is high in Fiber and healthy oils. So that's one snack I have in the evenings.

Nuts are a great grab and go snack - I am not worrying too much about fat/oil, because I eat so little, and I focus on getting in healthy foods first. Also, 1/2 banana is a good grab and go, and very filling.

    Good luck![/quote']

Do you soak your Chia seeds first?
