You will do great! I am looking forward to reading about your success! -
Wedding anniversary.

Sorry to hear it. It's good you had some "me time" and a chance to clear your head. Tomorrow is a new day. -
How much pain after? Help.

Ditto to the pillow idea. I could not turn on my side at all (even to get up) and slept on my back for a few weeks. Do you have somebody who can help you up? -

Well shucks, that stinks. There's still a good portion of the day to enjoy. What if you went up to him and invited him to the movies? -

Prior to my surgery I could down a LOT of food. I mean a LOT. Then an hour or two later I would be ready for more. I am only 7 weeks out, but I have not once felt hunger yet. I have to remind myself to eat and it is often a chore. We can only eat such a small amount of food that it almost doesn't even seem worth it. Your worries are normal, but I really think you won't have much hunger and you will fill up on a very small amount of food. Keep us posted! -
All of my December sleevers...

I take a Prilosec morning and night and a Zantac in the afternoon. This helps a lot! -
why no vitamens first 10 days after surgery
sleever10 replied to chicomoni's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My surgeon also said to wait 10 days before taking vitamins. -
This won't help you now since you aren't far enough out, but when you are a few weeks out try Fiberwell Gummies. They saved me! I don't want to rely on stool softeners or stimulants to have to do my business, and the extra fiber works wonders. When I was early out I used Miralax, and dissolved it in Propel. Good luck!

Wedding anniversary.

First, congrats on your anniversary! Second, I am sorry you are weepy on your special day. I wouldn't say that you can't have the celebration dinner you usually have because of your previous food choices. Rather, it's because you have taken steps to a healthier you that will allow you and your hubby to share many more years together... which means more anniversaries and celebrations! I am only 7 weeks out and it is difficult to remove the food from the celebrations and social gatherings. Of course it can still be done, just in moderation. I have come to realize how much I used food as a reward or how much I planned my days around eating. With the sleeve, I can't do that anymore. In social situations my focus has to be on the people, catching up with friends, getting to know people, etc. This adjustment was quite a rude awakening for me! When I go out with my hubby I try to find an activity we both enjoy and can spend time together doing - and for me, that can't be eating. What could you guys do to enjoy yourselves while spending the day together? What activities bring joy to both of your lives? Hiking? Going to waterfalls? Walking around downtown? -

For me, hiccups are the sign that I should have already stopped eating and I ate too much.

What helped me was the Fiberwell gummies. I take them every day (2 has 5 carbs which is 5g of fiber) and the magic happens the next morning. I know constipation is so painful; I hope you find relief soon!

I, too, am always cold and I noticed this immediately after I got home from surgery. It will be interesting to see what effect this will have on me come summer. I hate the heat and I hate being hot and sweaty. When friends want to go do stuff in the summer my response was always, "No thanks, it's too hot." Maybe it won't be like that anymore!

Which flavors did they send?

It's so great that, regardless of surgeon, people are having such great VSG experiences in Mexico. I'm hopeful that the stigma of having this surgery Mexico will lift soon and seem quite normal to those not already in the know.

Just for the record, they sent a chocolate brownie bar from their original line and a cinnamon roll bar from their all natural line. Can't wait to try them!

Just have to say that earlier this morning I emailed Quest and asked them if they had samples. I received a response within an hour or two informing me that they do along with a request for my address. I responded and gave it to them and in less than 30 minutes received a confirmation that my samples had been shipped and will arrive in 3-5 business days. I am very impressed - that is fabulous customer service!

I found the petites to be too large. My nut advises against those specifically, saying they are "like stones" and too concentrated, so it's difficult to dissolve. I went with the Celebrate chews - they are quite tasty!
-
That looks good! Speaking of goat and Mexican spices, have you had birria?

I wish I could eat nuts. I get a weird feeling in my esophagus, like the acid feeling, when I eat just a few almonds and I have to stop.
