If you are by yourself (like I was!) putting on socks is not an option as you likely won't be able to bend over to put them on. Something to think about!
-
You look fabulous! If you don't mind me asking, what is your current weight?

How much help did you need in hosp and after home from hospital?
sleever10 replied to Zen's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I needed help getting out of bed, reaching into high cabinets, bathing/drying off from the waist down, putting on shoes and socks, and pulling my pants up after using the restroom. (Tip: Don't let them hit the floor because once you stand up it's a long way down to pick them up!) -
Help me pick out an outfit

I think capris work best without hose and flats instead of heels, but that's just me. I do like that blue shirt, though! -
Good luck! Can't wait to hear all about it!

They will be coming in often to check your incisions and empty your drain. A shirt is much easier to lift up than a nightgown.

what skin lotion that is reasonable price and easy to apply

I would avoid lotions with petroleum-derived ingredients: mineral oil, paraffin, petrolatum, etc. The shea and cocoa butter idea is great! You can purchase these by the pound on Etsy. -

having bathroom problems
sleever10 replied to kamsmom13's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had the same problem as you and was using Miralax which seemed to help. I wanted something more natural for the long term so I purchased Fiberwell gummies. Those worked for a week or so and then I was back to being constipated. I then tried FiberOne cereal and have been eating that for the past week with some improvement. I'm afraid it may be time to try Colace. I hope you find something that works for you so you get relief soon. -
I preordered, too! I got the slate color. I see they are released on 4/15, according to Amazon.

Wow! That is fabulous! Do you feel ok at that level of carbs? Can you please break down from where on your body you lost those 20 in? -
Wow. These are not as cool as I thought. It is packed and ready to be returned tomorrow. Will wait for the Fitbit Flex.

Let us know how you like it!

I did at first but it turned into a thick mess. I add milk to it - the serving is so small (30g) that 3 oz. of milk is sufficient. This cereal has been a lifesaver as it is the only thing that keeps me regular.

A serving of Fiber One Cereal every single day!
-
Like others, I had an amazing experience with Dr. Aceves on 12/2012. Can't say enough good things about his whole team. I had no complications and have not had any nausea or vomiting at all, except for the moment I woke up from surgery and that didn't even last 5 minutes. They still answer all my questions and address any concerns via email promptly. Feel free to PM me, too, with any questions. On YouTube, user lessofsarah has been vlogging about her journey, check it out!

A serving of Fiber One cereal every day really helps me. It has a lot of insoluble fiber. The soluble fiber supplements don't do me any good anymore.
