I am 54, not happy with the results of my band. I lost 40 pounds , counting the pre surgery loss. I have been given to the Dr. helper lady. I'm not happy with her, I pay for the Dr. not the helper. Anyway, last fill she told me 3 months. I am not at any sweet spot. I can not tell the band is there. When the Dr was giving the fills I could tell I had one so this makes me wonder how much this lady is really putting in. I am staying in the box. Eat 3 small meals a day, drink Whey mornings with my coffee. Exercise 7 days a week, 30 minutes a time. Then walk on tred mill for 1 mile. I am thinking about going back on slim fast a week or so to see if I can make the weight start again. I am also thinking that if I lose weight on my own for the 3 month period ,without the clinic help ,about not even going back to them at all. If I do go back and the helper comes in the room. I am going to ask for the Dr. not her, This is my right isn't it

What kind of problems did you have before the band was removed? I had mine since 10-10-2007 and have only lost 40 pounds. Very disapointed in the results

All I can say is I am glad your not my sister. I married my husband just a few months after we met, we have been together for 13 years and still going strong. My first marriage I lost a baby, it was also just a few weeks, but to me, it was a baby from the moment I first was told "you are pregnant". My older sister would ask why I still cried, its wasn't even born, but let me tell you, it was a baby, it had a heart beat, it lived inside me, it was a part of me. As for the telemarketers, get yourself a telemarketer zapper and caller id and zap them.

I took Phentermine for about 6 months, at first they killed my hunger 100 percent. My blood pressure went up a little but not bad, the doctor gave me high blood pressure pills to take to get rid of the water weight, they made me cramp.Then as time went on I started getting hungry again, the weight loss was the same, good at first then slowed down and then it stopped. I don't have a lapband yet, just now starting to get things on the works. I got my medical records today, have my sleep study set for the 5th of next month. I would like to know about depression, after the band, do you get depressed when someone is eating what you love and you aren't suppose to eat it? I know now I do, when the employees are eating I feel left out. How is that handled? Is there anything special Blue Cross of Arkansas is looking for in the request for pre-approval?

I have Blue Cross of Arkansas, I don't belong to a group plan. I am just starting to get all this stuff together for a band. Then last night I got to thinking, what about the hospital part of the bill? Blue Cross told me if I get approved they will pay up to $4,000.00 total. I am wondering if they will pay anything on the hospital part?
