  1. I did this whole thing backwards. I had my TT and breast reduction and lift when I lost my first 65 pounds 10 years ago. As life would have it i gained all that weight back and 20 more. So I have 10 years of scars for tummy tuck and breast with lift reduction. The tummy will need lipo I can tell that before I even lose any more. But my boobs will require more extensive work. My nipples were repositioned the first time so now what I have are nicely positioned nipples but flatten boobies that have dropped and will continue to until my weight stabilizes. Uuggghhhh! 3. Heating pad if post op your back is sore, measuring spoons (I have 4 tablespoons that I use repeatedly). Measuring cups....small 1 cup containers with lids. Dissolvable gasX strips, MOM, a really good blender ( I have a bullet). Those where things I did not anticipate using much...but I have! Also no constricting pants or just wear loose dresses till your incision heals! 4. If you wait on Insurance they drive your timeline, then your surgeon. My insurance company only required 3 months of supervised weightloss, nutrition consult, psyche eval. So I was ready for surgery in 4 months but during my assessment phase, they discovered I have sleep apnea and my surgeon would not operate on me until I had been on CPAP for 3 weeks. That delayed me a month! But I am done now....so the time goes fast! Sent from my iPad using VST. http://www.verticalsleevetalk.com/tickers/45966-ajeeprider/bodyweight.png?ts=1368838450[/img]

I Did It The Baked Ricotta!

I did too! It was yummy but the cheese topping cooled down an required chewing. I think I did not chew well enough and I was uncomfortable and nauseated with heartburn for 2 days:(. My tummy still is out of sorts and I had to back down from purée to liquids for about 3 days. So I will try this recipe when I advance from purée. I WANT REAL FOOD!

Hold on....puree is on the way! Liquids was a hard phase. I am on puree and it is much easier I have 4 weeks more on that phase then it's on to soft. Sent from my iPad using VST. http://www.verticalsleevetalk.com/tickers/45966-ajeeprider/bodyweight.png?ts=1368838450[/img]

    Pain & Sleep

I did the recliner for almost two weeks. Then I did my bed with pillows. It took me the entire 3 weeks to get comfortable with sleep. Sent from my iPad using VST. http://www.verticalsleevetalk.com/tickers/45966-ajeeprider/bodyweight.png?ts=1368838450[/img]

    Isopure

Counts as both....I struggle getting all my fluids in....so it's nice when you can meet Fluid and Protein needs at the same time. Sent from my iPad using VST. http://www.verticalsleevetalk.com/tickers/45966-ajeeprider/bodyweight.png?ts=1368838450[/img]

  19. I am 25 days post op and have followed my nuts guidelines closely. However, I had an experience similar to this while eating something I thought would be safe. There is a recipe that many sleeves have prepared, the ricotta bake. I prepared it and it was yummy. I made the mistake of eating just one bit too much and the mozzarella cheese had harded as it cooled down, which required I chew it to puree consistency before swallowing (I am still on purée). Well I must not have chewed it too well because for two days post that meal....I have had pain and really bad indigestion with everything I eat. I have backed my foods back to liquids because I feel like maybe I opened up an unhealed area of my stomach. I have been walking on egg shells for the past two days on "leak watch" because I screwed up. So, sometimes when we allow ourselves to take it too far in our early stages, we unfortunately pay the price.....I hate to say this, but experience is the best teacher....now I know better, so I will do better. 20. I had surgery April 24th. Still can't get my calorie count past 570. I am doing puréed and just don't have enough hours in the day to get my fluids and food in! I eat and am full for at least an hour. Then have to work in some fluids before I eat again otherwise I would not get my fluids in. It's been hard and I am afraid I am going to stall out because my body will think I am starving it! At this point post op, should I be able to get to 1000 calories? Someone level set me...cause I am worried about my ability to get my calories in each day. Sent from my iPad using VST
  21. Can I say you guys rock! I love this site. Your post have helped me sooooo much. I feel so much better now. Just ate and I am sitting here now feeling like I am going to pop because I went for that last bite....scared I was not going to crack 500 today. Now I know better so I will do better. Thank you to everyone, I will chill and let the sleeve do its work....smooches! Sent from my iPad using VST
