Good luck! Mine is jan 8th... Already so nervous!

I had a similar situation but with my nutritionists. It's hard and I just don't think they understand sometimes.

Signed all my consent papers today! However when I weighed in I gained 3 pounds! Ugh! I'm actually looking forward to my liquid pre op diet.. We went over all the risks today. My mom told me not to do it! She was freaking out. So many complications could happen. Am I doing the right thing? Did anybody else feel this way?

I've had to weigh in every week since I've started my journey over a year ago. I finally got a surgery date for jan 8th but they can cancel if I gain. I gain then lose, gain then lose... It's a vicious cycle. I have an appointment with my surgeon next week. I think I'm going to drink protein shakes and just eat a low carb dinner before then. I feel like I have gained this week. I have been sick and haven't been to the gym at all!

It is jan 8th. I've been doing this for 6 months. I lose a few then gain back.

I can't have food funerals. I have to constantly weigh in every week and submit food journals or my surgeon will cancel surgery. It sucks cause I keep cheating! My biggest fear now is my surgery being canceled. I just get so hungry

So I've been on my pre op medically supervised diet for 6 months. I have my surgery jan 8th 2014. Everytime I go see my nut I get these feeling that she just roles her eyes and doesn't believe in me. I am always doing something wrong in my food journals. She just doesn't come across very friendly. She says she doesn't mean to be offensive, but it's her job. Has anyone else had this feeling with their nut, doctors etc?...

I'm scared to death of being the person with complications. I hope that doesn't happen to me but I'm going in prepared!

I'm so sorry. I wasn't trying to brush your sister off. I didn't mean to offend you. I'm just interested in seeing what the cause of death was. After I posted this somebody who just had their surgery at my center passed away. It's terrible losing one of ours. However, many judged first and said it was because of his surgery. It was not actually. He had a blocked artery in his heart and died of a heart attack. I was just trying to be a little more encouraging by my reply to people who may have felt uneasy about the surgery after your post. Again, sorry if you took this in the wrong way.

Are you just talking about plan b or birth control in general? I have been on birth control for 16 years and weigh 250 pounds. Never had a pregnancy scare...

Does it mention this on the warning label? I can't imagine this pill still being on the market if it only works for skinny people. There would be too many upset users. What is in it that makes it not work at a certain weight?

Thank you frank for posting this. I know it was awhile ago but it just popped up in my feed. I almost cancelled my surgery also. A lot of people at my bariactric center won't even step on to this site. They said it terrifies them! I'm excited for my surgery! I can't wait to start losing for once in my life!

Although I am very sorry for your loss, this is a rare and unusual case. I've never heard of anyone dying at my bariactric center. I know it can happen but don't be scared to have your surgery. Be excited for your new birthday! Look forward to all the great things ahead. Stress will only hinder your healing process. I hate seeing stories like this. Sounds like malpractice on the doctors side or somebody wasn't doing what they were supposed to.

She is my surgeons nut. I have to use her. It's included in my bariactric package.

My nut comes with my surgeons bariactric surgery package. I have to use her unless I go somewhere else for my surgery. So I just have to suck it up.

She is the only nutritionist with my weight loss center. I wrote an anonymous review about her. I have no choice right now but to use her. I can't wait to prove her wrong with how successful I will be with my VSG!

Glad I'm not the only one. No she's always been skinny. She's a vegan and she's new to our center so I'm not sure she knows how to deal with obese people. It's just really frustrating. I'm going to eat salads all week and see what problem she can find with that...

A guy that I did my 6 month medically supervised diet with just died. He had his surgery Oct 28th Still waiting on cause of death but I doubt I will ever know. I'm so scared but I've come too far to stop.

I'm pre op. I can't imagine not drinking for a year. I love my wine! This will be rough. I might sip a bit. Can't hurt right?

I was an avid smoker. Spent time in rehab. I have a whole new perspective on looking at things. If it is prescribed to you more power to you.
