    Number 2?

I was eating low fat yogurt and found that was a problem for me. Although I needed protien. I happily gave it up and noticed the difference. That means cheese is definitely out of my diet. I also take 2 stool softeners. Things seem to "going" okay now.
  2. I'm six weeks out. Down 55 lbs. I went from XXL to XL in pants. My pants, sweat pants were falling off and all bunched up around my waist. I purchased a couple pairs of pants a new belt. My body frame supported the XXl shirt size though. My clothes were falling me and I'm very happy about it and certainly not complaining.
  3. eventually but not 12 days after surgery, should only have broth and Jello etc at that point. Now 6 weeks out adding more foods. Can't tolerate any fried don't even want to chance it.
  4. Well, I went to our Bariatric Support Group Christmas Party 12 days out and down 22 LBS. I put a small very small piece of baked chicken in my plate, I walked past my surgeon and NUT The two of them were on me like a magnet and said "We know your are not going to eat that!!!" I said, I guess I'm not :-) They couldn't impress upon me more to follow the life plan and only eat only the foods outlined in the plan and follow the timeline. It really does work, I'm down 55 lbs 6 weeks out.
  5. I know fried foods are a no no but thanks for the warning.
  6. I will have a scrambled egg and usally don't finish it or I will have some soup (depends on the kind) It doesn't bother me when I go out with family or friends. I don't eat because I'm not hungry. I am 5 weeks post op. I lost 50lbs so far and still going. I have added moderate exercise (walking) and that has help drop a few addtional pounds. Best of luck to all. Tim

    Can anyone help with this?

Probably depends on the Insurance company. My Insurance company stated a date for the surgery but the Drs. office changed it based on his availability. Once approved I think it can be schedule on a more convenient basis for patient and Dr.

    Enough Is Enough!

I suggest you keep a food log. You may be shocked at the amount of calories. Have to burn what you take in.

    Coffee....

Most bariatric surgeons advise against regular coffee drinking. its reported that coffee stimulates gastroesophageal reflux (heartburn), stimulates acid production, and stimulates the colon and makes you "go". Coffee is a complex chemical, and much of the effect is not solely caused by caffeine. So decaffeinated coffee does not have significant advantages over caffeinated coffee. It also may irrate the new stomach wall. Tim .
