  1. I am your classic "pear shape". I have found that I seem to be losing more from the waist up, than from the waist down. I am doing recumbent bike or elliptical 30-60 minutes 4-6 days a week alternating with the Turbo Jam dvd's. My knees pretty much suck, they sometimes make noises that I have never heard (and I'm a nurse, lol). Squats and lunges both cause that grinding sound and mild pain. Does anyone know of any other exercises to target the glutes, hamstrings, quads, etc...????

    February 2007 bandsters!

    Hope there's room for one more. I recently found this website after becoming increasingly frustrated with obesityhelp.com. I was banded 2/22/07, I have lost between 30 and 35lbs depending on the day. I have had one fill of 5cc (10cc band) on April 17. I still have some restriction if I behave myself and eat as I should. I have recently become serious about the exercise, as I realize I will probably never lose all my excess weight unless I am willing to committ to an exercise program. anyone can feel free to PM me or email.
