Congratulations:) it's always nice to hear great going well stories. Stay encouraged!!!!!!!!!!!! cute daughter. -
I would stay away from the stool softeners, you want to try natural things. I was having problems with constipation, so bad I had to be hospitalized and I ended up with stitches, but know I eat black berries and I go daily with no diarrhea or any other problems.

Is my Mom trying to steal my shine?
KRB829 replied to elektrik_rose's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Mr. butterthebean is right, this is for you and your health. Do not worry about others, focus on you and love your mom, because she is reaching out for help as well. That's still your mom and let it go, embrace her and maybe start working out together. It's enough shine to go around:) -
At this stage you should be 5 to 6 weeks out and on a pureed diet/soft foods. You should be measuring your food and be consuming 3 - 4 ounce increments in each sitting. I had surgery 4 months ago and I can only eat 2 ounces in each sitting, but I eat 4 - 5 times a day and smaller portions. I was sick and regurgitating all the time, because I was getting to full at 3 - 4 ounces of food. And what also helps me is that I eat with a baby spoon and fork so I know I'm not consuming to much at a time. It's just a lifestyle change you will get use to it, and just try to eat slow and maybe start at 2 ounces, your body will let you know when you can consume more or need to back off. It gets better:)

NO ENERGY AND NO DESIRE TO WORKOUT, PLEASE HELP (ADVISE)
KRB829 commented on anayortiz's blog entry in anayortiz's Blog
I was always cold too. until I started the vitamin B-12 shots. I take them once a week , and you should take your vitamins and protein. I know it's hard sometimes, but try and eat beans, cheese, fish, and cottage cheese if you will not take protein shakes. -
Awww, I'm sorry that you guys had some pain and discomfort, because I didn't. I was up and walking once I woke up. I was in the hospital for three days due to my Diabetes and I was on a clear liquid diet in the hospital. I eat popsicles and chicken broth with chicken flavored unjury protein mixed in the broth. I didn't take any pain medications, I was very nauseated and dizzy for two months, but I wore medication patches behind my ear for that. I did have a dry mouth as well and I used Biotene too. I just took my time with eating and drinking. And when I wasn't resting I was walking all around my house, so I wouldn't form blood clots. I had to crush my medications and I did put it in applesauce in order to get them down, but other then that I was great! I am down 96lbs and my surgery was 3 months ago. So know that it is worth it. Pray when you feel any type of discomfort or pain, when you can't drink, suck on a popsicle. I craved Lemonade Minute Maid Light with two Splendas and unflavored unjury protein powder and I put it in the Ninja with ice and it turned into a slush and I just sipped on it with a spoon. But even thing will turn out great! and good luck:)

Yes indeed it will get better, I agree with Mr. Polite, your body is going through a dramatic transformation. And you have to learn how to eat and drink all over again. I did go through the vomiting and the dehydration and I was hospitalized. But I started using a spoon to drink sips of my beverages and I ate a lot of ice chips and popsicles that helped me a lot until I was able to learn to drink slowly. I also was hospitalized for constipation and had to have 7 stitches, but no regrets. I finally pulled it all together and I am doing wonderful and you will too. Do not give up and stay positive, because I will be praying for your health and success on your journey:) Did your Doctor give you some patches for nausea, they go behind the ear, and they work wonders. I had to wear them for 2 months after my surgery, because I was always dizzy and nauseated, but I never had any pain. I know it doesn't seem like it now, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel, and it will be all worth it:)

At home Sleep Apnea study?
KRB829 replied to maharet111's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Good afternoon: I've never heard of a sleep apnea test done at home either. Who is suppose to monitor you while you are sleeping. Well I had sleep apnea for 3 years and after my surgery, 3 months ago I have no more sleep apnea, so there is light at the end of the tunnel. Good luck! -

You are so right, I have been experiencing the same symptoms, being cold, different taste and smells, things I use to love to eat I can't stand the taste or smell. I can't see what other people see as well, and I know that I'm loosing because my clothes are extremely to big. But try not to be so bummed out, because you look great:)
-
Yes, Good Luck:) and you can do it! I use to have Sleep Apnea before I had my surgery. I had it bad too, it was so bad that I had to use a BY-PAP instead of a C-PAP machine, because when I had my sleep study I stopped breathing 92 times, but I'm so happy that I don't have that problem anymore. I had surgery 3 1/2 months ago and I'm done 95 lbs and I have no more Sleep Apnea, thank god. So the surgery has been a true blessing and it will be for you as well.

How Long After Surgery Can Someone Eat Hotdogs
KRB829 replied to drelex210's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A

Get your freak on:) Just don't let your son find out, that wouldn't be good. Boys protect their moms! But still get your freak on, because you should have lots of energy with all the weight loss, so I know you can hang with him.Lol -
Surgery Tomorrow (12/3)....eeeek!
KRB829 replied to tsmyle's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi Tsmyle: yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you made it through just like I knew you would, I know the liquids are hard to get down for now, but sip on your protein drink even if it takes you all day to consume just one. Your intake will increase as your body heals, get some sugar free Popsicles they were a life saver for me. Just rest and when your not resting walk around your house as much as you can, that prevents blood clots. Great job! -
Hello All: I am in need of some help myself. I can't find a very good tasting protein power, does anyone have any good suggestions. And from what my surgeon states it is very important to use the Whey Isolated, because it helps with the weight loss and builds muscle mass. I was using Unjury the chicken flavor, it's great and it taste like chicken noodle soup, but it has a lot of sodium it in, but if you do not have high blood pressure it's a great way to get your protein in, and the weight melts off. I just can't use any of the products since my surgery, something is going on with my taste buds.

Fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am Diabetic also, I had surgery 3 months ago and I don't have to take insulin any more. I used to take 9 shots a day and it is a true blessing! Keep up the good work:)

KRB829 replied to tsmyle's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I will keep you in my prayers:) I had my surgery 3 months ago and I was sooooooooooooo nerves. But when they put me out I woke up and didn't feel any pain and I never took any of the pain medication, so you will do great!!!!!!!!!! Now try and get you some rest and gods angels will be watching over you! -
My surgeon told me no straws also, because of air and gas issues. But I found that using a spoon has been helpful for me, because I was a gulper if I wasn't using a straw.
