Do you ever regret your surgery?
KRB829 replied to Strangefruit's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I have no regrets!!! I was 410 lbs, I was on 18 different medications, I couldn't even walk from my bedroom to the bathroom without gasping for air, and my life was miserable. Now I am 137 lbs down in 4 1/2 months, I'm off of 16 of those medications, I can walk, run, breathe, I feel wonderful and I still have 90 lbs. So no regrets for me, I am living my life like it's golden:) -
Great job! it is a wonderful feeling:) keep up the good work.
-
That is correct, unless you have problems then you should schedule additional visits.

Sounds great, will try. Speaking of Trader Joe's they also sell a Ground Buffalo Steak Burger. It's awesome! my husband cooks them with a little bit of water, so they will not dry out, because the meat is very lean, mushrooms, onions, and smoked Gouda. It has 43g of protein, so for those of you that can't drink your protein this is a great way to get it in and it taste great:) I apologize Frye_Storm for piggy backing, but I am bad with blogging I can't get the hang of creating my own message as of yet:)

No worries, my surgeon calls it a 3 in 1 cocktail and when I had my sleeve surgery he repaired those things as well and I had no pain, and I healed well. My insurance paid for everything but the sleeve surgery and I had to pay 8,000.00 in cash for my sleeve, which was all worth it. My insurance would have paid for the sleeve as well, but I didn't want to go through with their criteria. I would have had to wait 18 months before they would pay for it, and my life was more important to me. I had surgery 4 1/2 months ago, and I am down over 100lbs, and happy, I would have still been waiting to have the surgery if I would have waited for my insurance company. So talk with your surgeon, and maybe he can repair those things at the same time and have the surgeon's coordinator check with your insurance company to see if they will cover it. Good luck, and you will be fine:)

Why water is the key to fat metabolism
KRB829 replied to newgrandmother's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Me too, I couldn't drink tap water before surgery but now I can. I can only drink it out of a Styrofoam cup though, It is so amazing how your taste buds change after your surgery:) -

We have to have a drain tube?

How soon did you go back to work?
KRB829 replied to Kennedy310's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I guess it depends on the person and their prior health situation. I was off for six weeks, I also had FMLA and was paid at 100%. I was trying to focus on me and my new life changes, so that's why it took me so long. -

I'm 4 months out, and fortunately I haven't experienced any stalls. what everyone is saying is correct, I exercise all day except when I'm sleeping, I'm not for sure if that is good or bad but, at work I do chair exercises, I walk for an hour on lunch, I walk after dinner, I ride my recumbent bike while watching television and when I'm in bed I do leg lifts until I fall a sleep. I even go to the gym on the weekends, I know crazy right, but I haven't had a stall and I am dropping weight like crazy.

Yes, I do use water not milk.

I just bought some Nectar - Roadside Lemonade and Nectar - Apple Ecstasy today and mixed them together with some frozen pineapple chucks and added 2 - Stevia Liquid - Apricot Nectar drops it was great! I really do not like protein drinks, but I will be using this combination for a while.
