Never lose hope ladies. I suffered from PCOS and Obesity all of my life. Highest weight 289, surgery weight 261, I managed to get down to 158lbs before yes I became PREGNANT at 21 months post op. I am currently 13 weeks and baby is doing great, thank God. I never had regular cycles often put on birth control just to regulate them and progesterone to have a cycle. I even did 6 rounds of clomid a few years ago but never ovulated. Before surgery I had an IUD put in because I did not want to run the chance of maybe becoming pregnant too soon after surgery. I had the IUD removed in Aug. 2014 and with God's blessing became pregnant just 4 months later in Dec. No medical intervention, the only thing I did do was just Ovulation Predictor Kits to time intercourse as my cycles were long ranging from 35-40 days. This itself was a big step for me as I never had regular cycles but as soon as I got under 200lbs they started up on their own. Once you start to lose weight your hormones start to regulate themselves. My PCOS and Infertility was one of my 3 main reasons for having this surgery. So again I say to all of you lovely ladies never lose hope, God is good and you will see all your hopes and dreams come true in due time

ylopez replied to Jaime_Boston's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
Congratulations to all of you expecting Mommies! I had vsg almost 15 months ago. Previously I had PCOS with barely any periods and tried clomid for 6 months with no luck. I went from 276 to 168. Im still not at goal but decided to have my IUD removed in August to try. As soon as I went under 200lbs I started getting normal periods. Good luck to all you girls -

March 2013 Sleevers... What are you eating?
ylopez replied to LaserSkinGirl's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Sleeved March 18th down 38lbs post-op. Tried cole slaw the other day, didnt sit right with me. Typical day is a scrambled eggs n cottage cheese for breakfast, greek yogurt for lunch n chicken with veggies for dinner. Snacks in between is either a baby gel cheese or 2 flatbread wheat thins. 600-800 calories daily n 60 grams of protein. N of course water -
I am also 2 months out today. I have stalled but only for a week or so. Sleeved 3/18/13 down 34lbs post-op and 15 pre-op. I too think I'm not getting enough calories or protein in. And I have to drink more water. I'm averaging 600-700 calories a day. Yesterday I went out to eat for the first time and neared 800. I eat high protein foods but still struggle to barely get to 60 grams/day. I guess my question is how many calories should I be at for 2 months. My NUT said at 3 months out I should be at 800.

March sleevers.. Progress?
ylopez replied to sweetmomma05's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thank you for posting this topic. I was sleeved 3/18 almost 6 weeks out and have lost 26 lbs. I thought it should be more by now. And this week haven't lost any weight at all. I'm still on soft/puree foods. I eat tilapia, pureed beans, cottage cheese, scrambled eggs and greek yogurt. About 500 calories a day and excercising 3 times a week. I hardly eat any carbs. I made an appt to see my NUT along with my surgeon next week bc I'm starting to feel discouraged. Maybe I'm not eating enough. Idk. -
Today I am 5 weeks post-op n can eat 1.5 oz of protein such as fish or chicken n maybe 1 oz of vegetables such as brocolli. I was curious as to how much everyone else can eat at this point?

I was sleeved 3/18 n down 26 lbs post-op n 15 pre-op. I'm stil on purees like tilapia, cottage cheese, eggs, n pureed beans. Not drinking enough water but I'm trying. Does anyone have any good low calorie low sugar drinks they can recommend? I hate anything diet that leaves those horrible after taste. Tried Crystal Light but its ok. -
What are good total fat, carb numbers?
ylopez replied to WeightStruggle's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
So glad I found this thread. I was sleeved 3/18 n my first post-op appt was last week n I had lost 15 lbs in 2 weeks. I was elated. Today I didnt have an appt but had to stop by my drs office to pick up a paper n decided to weigh myself. Only lost 3lbs since last week. I know thats good but I feel it should be more. Now reading thru this thread I see alot of ppl hit a 3 week stall. This is y I refuse to buy a scale. Lol I was also wondering about daily calorie intake. I average 400-600 calories daily. Waiting on my NUT to advise me on this. I also track my Protein n I'm getting my 60 grams of protein in. I try to eat high protein foods such as eggs, cottage cheese n Beans. -
3 1/2 weeks post-op, hungry and worried!
ylopez replied to bunnybstuff's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was also sleeved March 18th n sometimes I get stomach pains but its not hunger its gas. Try Gas-X it helped me alot. As far as feeling full I get more of a pressure full kind of feeling. They say when u start solid foods then u will really feel when u are full. I get my 60 grams of protein in but only about 400-600 calories a day. I worry that too little now. I'm waiting for my nutritionist to email me back as to how many calories I should be at. Good luck! -
Thank you for sharing these recipes. I started puree stage yesterday. Can't wait to try them
