Have any of you tried Goat Whey? I have been on it for about a month and am digging it because I don't seem to get dehydrated after having a shake.

One of the coolest things that happened the day I ended up in the Emergency Room was that a group of military medics were doing training at Tampa General. A Navy Seal Medic came over to me to take blood. The guy took one look at my arm and said God look at those pipes! I wish everyone had veins like those! There are no words for how great of an accomplishment I felt from hearing those two little sentences. Especially when a year prior I almost passed out from somone repeatedly stabbing my arm in search of a vein.

Hey J, Glad to be back! ZZ, I can't stop staring at the viens in my hand, it just amazes me. Talk about super nerd I am working on an ancient Interactive Voice Response System tonight. The Damn thing was old when I hired in 8 years ago. Now I am the only one, including our vendor who remembers how to build one from scratch! Lucky me right!?!

Trust me BG, I don't think I could survive your weather very long. I am frozen to the bone now.

Yes I am alive and churning. As for chilly, I had freaking Ice on my car for the last two days!!!! I fell down in my GFs kitchen last night and busted my shoulder. I can tell you the COLD ASS weather is not helping! Give me 100 degrees any day I will take it. JbrrrrC

Hello everyone, and Happy New Year!!!! I hope everyone has had a great start to 2008. I have been in the process of organizing my life. I work in Information Technology so I have dedicated a huge amount of time to using those skills to assist my personal life. I have been making note of recurring time vacuums, things like having to look up the serial number for something that I own or when I purchased that so and so thing. I have been gathering this info and putting it in a database backing that database up regularly as well. Naturally as with any new system it has taken some heavy work up front but it is starting to pay off. I now have food logs and excercise data in a spreadsheet allowing me to group data and look at charts... Aside from this I have not been on my bike for a few months but there is always tomorrow, except I have to work a double tonight and if I do not finish I will be back in to work tomorrow. I have still been walking though, that is my staple. This so called busy season of mine will be over next month, then I will be able to spend a little more time training and sharing my adventures along the way with you guys. I can't wait I really miss all of you. JC

Thank you all for the welcome notes, the Christmas cards and one more thank you for my secret Santa gift! I will post pictures soon. The wrapping was so nice that I took a before and after pic. My GF and I are prepared for the Couch 2 5K after the First of the year. I found a spot not two miles from here to do some muddy buddy training as well, which means I will be adding a couple mountain bikes to the stable. I haven't broken down and purchased a BodyBugg yet, I am not sure if it fits my lifestyle. There are so many new technolgies that are being thrown at me in my work life that I sometimes feel that I am starting from scratch each day. As for work, well at the end of the day it is just work and I will either fix it or move on end of story. B, a few thoughts about that extremely freaking cool bike of yours. You may have figured some of these things out but, here are a few of my recumbent tips. When you are riding at a good pace disconnect one foot and practice pedaling a circle with one foot, alternate until it feels natural. This will lead to smooth starts as you can attach one foot then use the other foot to roll backwards a bit to "load" pressure on the attached foot giving you a stronger start. Then you can pedal as many revolutions as necessary until you attach the "floating" foot. When going down steep grades if the bike starts to squirm a bit tap the rear brake and it will straighten out. Just a few things I have picked up. Your bike may respond differently from mine but I thought I would share. Happy everyone is safe and having a good time with family and friends. JC

Hello and Merry Christmas Everyone! Thank you for all the Cards I bought cards and have not been able to get them in the Mail I SUCK!!!! BG, I hope you like your gift it seemed pretty cool to me. D, I thank you and my feet thank you!!!!! WOW. I was lurking the other day trying to catch up on what has been going on with this my favorite thread. I see some damn awesome weight loss tickers! Congrats everyone! I myself have told my imediate supervisor that I quit at least 5-6 times in the last few weeks. I haven't been too very happy with those people since they told me I have too much vacation time then made me cancel my Freaking Effing Everglades Kayaking trip in order to have me available for some projects that are brewing! All in all life is good my new GF and I are going strong, my son joined the National Guard, and I have rescheduled my Everglades trip. I have been spending a lot of my spare time job searching. Also, I would definitely be up for a Texas trip. I have even been considering the upcoming monster 150 mile ride. I will be more available after Christmas I promise. I really miss talking to you guys! Hope everyone is well and enjoying their weekend! Love and Hugs, JC

Thanks B, somebody has to do it! J, I am a DORK I knew exactly what you were talking about referencing the Wonder Twins (That was my favorite cartoon at one time). I also I also uh Geocache. I guess that makes me a DorkGeekNerd. I can't tell you guys how excited I am for BG's AWESOME accomplishment. YOU ROCK GIRL!!! I needed some uplifting weight loss victory news. The holiday season is difficult with or without the band. Better with the band. There are just so many distractions, people coming out of the woodwork wanting a slice of your time and the insanity of the over abundance of food, not to mention the emptiness associated with missing so many loved ones. I have been down because I haven't lost as much as I wanted to, then I reminded myself that I am kicking ass and don't even look or feel like the same person from just a year ago. I seriously like the idea of the muddybuddy. I have not jogged in weeks, however I am staying active. Just not Modified Japanese Mach III worthy active. My knew GF has agreed to start the Couch-2-5K so I am encouraged. It's probably good that I have backslid a little so that I am not as intimidating. Sometimes people don't mesh to the point of wanting to change the other. I told her she doesn't have to do every crazy thing that I do as long as she understands that it is part of my new life and she supports my need to stay active. OK, back to work! Hope everyone is well. JC

There is a special place in my heart when it comes to Dolphins, I would never hunt them, at least not during the month of November! LOL (JUST FREAKING KIDDING PEOPLE!) I consider them my friends. The only potential problem with Vegas would be the timing around a holiday. We have a few policies about taking time off in addition to Holiday time. What are the dates?

Spritz Try BLACK CHERRY EXTRACT. Chug it, if it does not help seek a prescription from your doctor. I take Allopurinol daily to prevent gout attacks. Hello everyone, I have been blazing some trails. I would first like to say I have seen a few pictures on here and Damn I mean Damn you ladies are kicking ass in the middle of fat season! So, I have been hunting (I will kindly spare details if you do not jump my ass for partaking in the sport). Kayaked 10 miles of the Venice shoreline and found a small pod of Dolphins. I had a camera issue that prevented me from getting any good photos but will post some. Only one had a Dolphin it it. I finally got my car back from the shop yesterday. Bought a Giganto HDTV on sale at Sears on Black Friday. I also netted a new MP3 Player, Sattelite Radio receiver and some other junk that I know I needed. I got a fill 3 days before Thanksgiving saving me from eating myself into a coma. Met my new GF's family and managed to avoid a PB in their pressence. Just finalized some of the logistics of my upcoming 100 mile Everglades Kayaking trek! I just can't wait! Most importantly I have been spending a lot of time with my son. He just completed his Eagle Scout rank for Boy Scouts and signed up to our local National Guard Unit. His Eagle Scout rank apparently allows him to be classified as a E3. I don't exactly know what that means, but it sounds cool. I will try to check in more often, but this is one of our busiest times of the year as far as work is concerned. JC P.S. still managing to get a fair amount of butter churned!!

Damn BJ I I I I I mean BG!!!!!!!!! You little Hell Raiser you!

No, she isn't skinny, which is good because I don't like the attitude that (SEEMS) to come with skinny. She has a few extra pounds she would like to shed.

I heart BOOBIES and Mountains and MOUNTAINOUS BOOBIES and and and .......... Well I better stop right there. OK everyone, 77 degrees may seem like ideal conditions to you guys but we went from feels like 98-99 to 77 in less than 12 hours. In my book that is freezing. As soon as I acclamate we will be back in the hot stuff and I will be fighting heat exhaustion. God I love sub-tropic climate changes. On a very positive note I convinced my new GF to try the couch25k program! I can't wait to start back up! I also have another (small) fill scheduled for next week. It has been very difficult for me to try getting back to weight-loss restriction at such a slow pace but considering how close I came to losing my band I am being very cooperative and even trying to be patient. So far so good. I am committed to this slow and steady plan even if it goes against the core of my personality.

Hey J, what kind of protein stuff do you have?

I am going to try to walk today as well, even though it is a freezing 77 degrees out there! BRRRrrrrr! JfreezingmyassoffC

I am here everyone. Having a hell of a time catching up. This is busy season for the next few weeks on top of starting a new relationship. I am in for secret santa. I will be more active here as soon as I finish cranking out the last few projects that are lined up on my desk.
