BG, nothing wrong with y'all. Hope your eye gets better. Has anyone ever tried blindfolded biking? HMMMM I told my boss that I had Anal Glaucoma this morning. He asked me what the heck that was and I said it means you will not see my ass until Monday. It's noon now, I think I am going to go find some trouble to get into! Juli, Extreme Vegas? I'm there! If you have a "hard Date" I will put in for the Vacation time Monday so I will be locked in. JC

Sherilynn, fill centers usa is for any lapband patient. The cool thing about them is you have an initial startup fee then after that you can get a fill for the same price at any fill center location. JC -

Celeste, I was nervous myself. I went over to Tijuana alone. I had never been out of the Country before and can't speak Spanish. I hope your experiance is as good or better than mine. Aside from the one night in the clinic it really was like a vacation. I was out and about walking through the downtown market place buying countless valuable treasures the day after surgery. I also got to feel like I was rich whenever I checked my ATM card there (Pesos)! -
Vegas, I will have to check the info on the event date, time and duration. I can probably be talked into hang gliding off the top of Mount Everest, so Vegas shouldn't be to difficult. JC

Thanks for the info, they are some serious researchers on this thread! Catrike 700 = loungechair on wheels :-) CATRIKE 700 I am so sore and tired this morning I did about a 50 yard full on wide open sprint last night when I finished walking (pay back for not making 3 miles). Feeling it today!! JC

Glad to hear that I was kinda freakin! Way to go on the 22 you are kickin it! JC

Had a malfunction at the trail no luck on the three mile jog. At about 1.5 miles I noticed alot of blood on the side of my shirt that was coming out of my left nipple. I have never had any thing like this before. I did manage to finish 4 miles, just without jogging. I'll have to check this out with my doc tomorrow. JC

Juli hope Zoe is better today! Deanna, gave or take a few things that is pretty much my daily diet. I am very stable on the BikeE, but now I ride the catrike 700 more than the others. BG, I am ready to go now! That looks like a blast. I'm in. I am due for a vacation or long weekend. If you guys want to get a ride together, I will do my best to be there. Just let me know. JC (SA)

Thanks everyone, this last go round was tough. I thought I was going to stay stalled for a while and am charged up at breaking the plateu. Derbygirl I haven't thought of a reward, any suggestions? Chrispy, I am sorry for your loss, I lost both parents to cancer. I only remember my Dad's illness, it was strange I was so relieved that he was no longer in pain and at the same time I missed him so bad when he was gone. My prayers are with you. I will try slow down the weight loss so you can stay ahead. JC -

I think I my best fill level is around 6cc. Apparently I have very low sensation in my stomach. I require a barium swallow in order to reach a good fill. My fill Dr. noticed that I can be backed up almost to my esophagus without realizing it, so now I only fill with barium JC -

You are asking the wrong person about the heat. I am a true down to earth by God Florida Cracker. I may wear a button down shirt with a tie every day but This little fact should tell the whole story. I am almost 41 years old and I never lived in an air conditioned house until last year. I guess I am getting soft in my old age! lol I can hear the compressor running outside right now at 7:00 pm and it is killing me. JC

Sorry about that last post I could not help myself. OK How to improve physical endurance with minimum pain and maximum rapid recovery. This may or may not work for you, this is what has worked for me. Each morning: 20 oz bottled water 1 Dual Isolate Whey Protein shake 1 Multivitamin 1 Glutamine AKG 1000m mg 1 Triflex chewable glucosamine chondroitin combo (from GNC) 1 bowl weight control oatmeal Lunch: 20 oz bottled water 1 Dual Isolate Whey Protein Shake 1 Cliff Bar or Granola Bar or Trail mix 1 Glutamine AKG 1000mg 1 Triflex chewable glucosamine chondroitin combo (from GNC) Sometimes a fruit and yogurt parfait from McDonalds or a lowfat Yogurt After work: 20 oz bottled water walk 2 to 4 miles jog 2 miles 20 oz bottled water 1 teaspoon liquid designer Glutamine Go to the Gym and lift weights every other day Protein shake 1/2 hour after last workout. At night: 20 oz bottled water 1 Triflex chewable glucosamine chondroitin combo (from GNC) Sugar free jello If I notice any soreness or cramping I will drink 6 to 8 oz pickle juice or however much it takes to make the cramping go away. I buy the Protein powder and glutamine from a local powerlifter who has his own supplement brand. These are high quality rapid and easily digested products. He also has a very pure form of complex carbohydrate that you add to the protein shakes and some fat burner stuff too. www.gearmannutrition.com We have a lot in common with powerlifters so these products are actually in line with our needs. Energy Recovery Joint Health. If you check him out and decide to order find a way to mention lapband to him, I have been trying to convince him that he could start a line for us, but I think he needs to see some demand. In my opinion he could come up with a Pre mixed Protein/Carbo Combo that would be perfect for the newly banded and post fill liquid days. This stuff mixes easy goes down smooth and digest quick! Also that dang double Chocolate flavored Protein keeps me sweet tooth fairly quiet. JC

Sounds like all of you are kicking it ....or should I say pedalling it? Sorry about the crosscountry letdown however I do have more than 200 hours of vacation time banked up, probably closer to 300. HMMMM! The best way I know of to tolerate the heat especially down here in the Florida Humidity ladden stuff is to: 1. Turn heater on in house run it to about 110 should'nt take long 2. Get a gallon bottle of Tequilla 3. Light it on fire 4. Chug-a-lug 5. Crawl/Swim outside It will feel nice and cool outside if not who cares you probably won't remember anyway! LOL JC

Hey everyone, I will give you a more detailed update this evening. I completed the project I have been working on yesterday! The big guy, not my supervisor or manager but the top dog told me 100% is the goal, and 99% is complete and utter failure, no pressure right! Well, my over the top lock and load A$$ pulled it off 100%. What a DAY! Now to the important stuff, I am up to 2 miles jogging. 2 freakin miles! It has been 21 or 22 years since I have been able to do this! Check out the diet ticker!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will post pics of Withlacoochee ride and Venice Shark tooth adventure tonight. Thanks everyone it feels good to be missed! JC

Ok, so the old truck is in the shop Thursday and I get a call that it is bad and many parts are needed it will not be ready to pickup until next Tuesday. What to do? Catchup on some housework? Straighten up the shop? Finish that pesky barbque grill thin paver project? HMMMMMM? Then as if a sign from above I read Karla's post a triathalon! Wild Hair! Triathalon. Cool the good news is I already did the cycling and running. That's it, I am off, headed 120 miles south. I am going to throw my overnight bag and my dive bag in the back of the Mustang drop the top and head to the Shark tooth capitol of the world! Venice Florida. Thanks Karla, you sure bailed me out of a boring weekend! I will be sure to post pics when I return. JC
