    I would tell her the "easy way out is ......doing nothing at all." Plain & simple. This gal that wants the band is commited to working towards a goal. Working I said & everything that goes along with that work isn't easy, its work.

    I know people who have BUT that is a slippery road to start your way down & I wouldn't do it Imo. Its a life change & everything in moderation is ok.

    THis is exactly my thoughts. I will add that if you do start to ween a 10 yr old certain responsiblities it can & will help them grow to be very confident & responsible adults. As long as they understand that inappropriate actions & responses have ramifications.IMO

    Worst Case Scenario--or Best???

    I find on average I lose only 1 pound per week. Even if I work out or don't work out. I will say some weeks I can be down a little more but than the next week it will be none. So all in all its about 1 pound per week. On the flip side my WHOLE body has changed much more dramatically inch wise & frankly I am more impressed with that vs what the scale says. I LOVE MY BAND!!!!!!!!

    WOw Trish- Christina here- Please let us know as soon as you here something. I love the idea someone mentioned about emeailing the photo to your Doctor. Sounds like a smart idea. Let us know Monday how you are PLEASE. In the mean time you'll be in my prayers:0)

    Not sure how to calculate either. My scale gives it too me every morning whether I want it or not;0) I think its called a Tantia or something like that. If you need the name just let me know & I will post it for you. It is a great scale but was on the high end.

    All Are Welcome This is a nonchallenge thread except to yourself. Its a TOTAL COMMITMENT thread to the most important person you have --YOURSELF-- I the undersigned swear once and for all I will finally commit to truely taking care of myself with Water, food & exercise. I will not fail. I will do this. I PROMISE To exercise 3 to 4 times a week. I will get a calendar out & mark it everyday. I will walk or run. I will move my body anyway I can to burn enery. I will better my exercise time every 3 days by adding more minutes. I will eat less & more health than ever before. I will not buy fast foods. I will throw out the junk in my house.(My family can eat healthy with me:0) and or I will prepare my own meals as best as possible ahead of time. I will, I will, I will get all my water in everyday. Even if I have to drink 64oz at bedtime & pee all nite I will get my water in. The first time that happens I am sure I won't forget the following day:0) THIS IS LBT BOOT CAMP PEOPLE THIS IS OUR COMMITMENT If I faulter, I will not stop, but start IMMEDIATELY from that moment on to get back on track. NO EXCUSES. This is my time & I will see this promise through for MYSELF. I will check in on this thread everyday or anyday. I will post as often as needed to keep myself going. I will keep in mind that evertime I succeed at a day it will make the next one even easier. Soon I will be in habit mode & wanting to forever better myself. I will be Stronger! I will be Thinner!     2nd Day Post-Op and Needing Advise

    You must WALK. Its the best thing for you right now. Hours after surgery I walked 22 laps around the ward. Of course it was very slow & I did rest for a 1/2 hour in between every 7 laps. But walking will move the gas up & out. Its really your best bet. Congrats on your surgery & you will be feeling better in no time. Rest in between walking & drink & sip all day long. P.S. My gas pains subsided after the 14th day. The worse was the left shoulder pain. But you will get throught it:0) Chin up your on your way!!!

Private NJChick- the trick is to report once a week on Sunday or Monday- it helps to hold yourself true to your promise as the weeks pass. Remember this is only for you- not anyone else. Everyone- Read/copy & Hang-up the commitment post & truely commit to yourself once & for all. You can do this! Even if its a pound every 2 weeks or 3 you can & will do this! As for measurements the more the better to truely have an accurate count - how ever I do the following areas only. Bust-W/bra on (Always the same bra) Under bust Waist Belly/Gut - include largest area around butt & Gut Right arm around the largest part Right thigh around largest part The following post will include all who have signed & commited thus far - Including any from the rally post Private Skinner did.     Spring Bootcamp 2006

    Here is what the Sarge needs by next Monday April 10th or whenever you can sign in : First commit by signing & list your current weight, measurements & body fat (if available) in your post. Once a week on Sunday or Monday Please tell me the following & I will keep track. How much you have lost that week & how many inches(maybe ever two weeks for inches) & also your body fat % if you can get it. My scale show me & it helps motivate me- Its very hard to get it to go down. So right now I am 214 & next Monday I will list my weight again & start from there. Please Please Please Remember to take your measurements, they will tell the real story more than the scale. Also remember the SARGE is all about tough LOVE - I hope no one will take offense to his tatics or foul mouth. On a personal note- being away for the last 3 weeks from my LBT family was tough & you were all missed! Glad to be back & lose weigt together with you all! BOOOOOYAAAAH! Christina

    I know its a bit silly considering I never had the pleasure of meeting her in person but I miss Blossom. I really do! I still see her old posts once in awhile or an old correspondence we had & well I miss her. I sure hope her husband is well & think of her land & new house in my mind often. I feel the spring time approaching & imagine how beautiful her home will be. I look forward to all of our flowers blossoming this spring in our own gardens in her memory. We still miss you sweetie!     Hi all !!! Whew! We made it to the end didn't we!! I know that Sarge was scary at times but it is "WAR" I am very pleased to report a 2 pound loss this last week!:clap2: :clap2: Plus I haven't taken my measurments for about 3 weeks & WOW I am down a total of 6 3/4" !!!! :clap2: HORRAY!!!:clap2: I was wondering why my jeans are almost falling off of me:0) Great job everyone! TO EVERYONE! Thank you all for taking this hard core approach to our individual weight loss journeys! We all hung in tough & everyone of us I beleive regained a bit of power these past 10 weeks. So from the bottom of my heart I thank you- b/c it was "you" that kept me going every week! see you at spring training! I AM LEAVING TOMORROW FOR 2 WEEKS TAKE CARE ALL!
