Has anyone had success with them approving the lapband? And if so how long did you wait to hear from them? Did you call them to push it along or was it smooth sailing?
-
Besides the regular noises we all do & so forth & so forth... Are there any bandsters out there who DO NOT HAVE extra noises now since the surgery?
-
Keep us posted after you go to your Doctor. I would think a little Neosporin wouldn't hurt till you go, as long as the wound doesn't look open. Best of luck.

Now thats what I call a GREAT BOARD! Prevents over-eating if used consitantly over a period of time. Helps develope hand & eye cordination. Creates a soothing & relaxing atmosphere. Helpful when feeling depressed or anxious. Is a deterant from munchies when responding to threads. Can benefit those who are without support. Earn free friendship points when visiting the site often. Sorry does not help with poor spelling or grammer ;0( -
What's Your Favorite Type of Pet?

What a sweet fluffy little ball of love your kitty is GUNN4ya ! More photos everyone- I just love seeing all these shots-They make my day, just like the before & afters do. -
Debbydo- I started actually attending meetings & seminars in November 2004. I still go to support groups every month. I had been thinking about WLS for about 2 yrs total. This site has been one of the best things I have ever been a privelage to be apart of. You should think about going to Vegas with everyone. I am hoping to go but am not sure fincially. I have Bluecross/sheild network HMO. Hopefully I will have an answer soon. (please GOD). I was your weight about a month 1/2 ago but have been gaining do to the psych of getting the band & not being able to eat whatever-whenever very soon. I know its soooo stupid to do it but I just can't help myself. I have however started exercising to help combat the extra free for-alls on the cakes & crap. Most will tell you the process from start to finish (depending on insurance) is about 3 to 4 months on average. Stay in touch & we can loose together.

Estela, I have always thought like you about the liquid thing. I guess you could drink before & a little during (knowing you may pb) but keep in mind your lose may not be as great as it would have been if you followed the rules. It will be my greatest hurdel once I am banded. I say that as I sit here and drink a delicious Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr Pepper. Cold & Bubbly. I will miss them the most- so I am filling up now ;0)

Holy Cow or should I say Holy String Bean Janie! You're a completely different person ( at least physically). I would have never guessed those photos are of the same woman. What an amazing job you've done. The Great Dane is also pretty darn gorgeous! -

Rimadyl is truely a miracle drug for dogs with joint problems. However it can cause liver failure & that is what it did to my boxer after only 5 months. He pulled through but it was very scary & expensive($1200.00). All pets on Rimadyl need to have blood work every 6 mnths or more to check for liver function. By the way there was no warning signs, he just calasped one day. If someone is going to use Rimadly & would like to purchase some unused bottles for a very cheap price, I will sell them mine because I can't use them anymore. Just IM me & I'll give you some info. It does work miracles in most cases.

New Hope- I am happy to hear this is a least one person out there who isn't having the extra noise problems. I hope to be like you but will expect not to when banded. Your definetly a lucky gal.

Penni - you always make me giggle when I read your posts. My one nick name that I use when I play online poker(not for real$) is BrickHaus... It didn't seem quite appropriate on LBT so I made it I'll succeed. I thought maybe just maybe this would be the one time I do. Than when I found the "family Guy" avatar I just cracked up . I Love it when he shouts"Victory is Mine". LOL Anyone else watch that show? - I love the humor.

((Tears are pouring over Niko)) Dear Nancy, My heart is completely sobbing for you and the loss of your family member. No words can comfort you but I want you to know when they are feeling kinda good it is the perfect time. Its Niko's way of making it easier on you & letting you see him wag his tail & smile just one more time. Niko was and always will be THE VERY BEST DOG IN THE WORLD! I am so sorry. I would still love to see his photo if you are able to post one. I have only had to put one best friend down. Her name was Nikki, an airedale. She was 13 & had a great life. She had been failing for a long time & when I returned from MSU finals, well she perked up just like a pup. She was happy & eating & wagging that tail like she was 2. So I put her favorite bandana on & said "Lets take her now Mom while she is happy". I keep her ID tag on a little nail just to the right of the kitchen sink. I get to look at it everyday. My Mother has the one of Molly, a shepheard who was before Nikki at her home, just to the right of her sink. Its that little reminder everyday of the purest most unconditional love anyone can recieve. God is truely amazing to have created such a creature, perhaps he thought so too & thats why we all know DOG is just GOD spelled backwards.

WHOOHOO Delarla & here I just thought we were having a little quake here in Michigan yesterday-Glad to find out it was just you ;0) Now that the pain has passed ( so to speak) you'll know what to expect & will be able take something right away before it gets to painful. Megan - you crack me up with the singing "your my sunshine" ILMAO- Too funny even though I do know it isn't at the time.

Ryan, I never dry my bras in a dryer. I buy bras that last for years if treated right. This is what my mother taught me & I have always air dried them & they last a long time. I just set them flat on top of the dryer while the rest of the clothes dry. That way they get a little warmth to help them along. It goes quickly. They are expensive ($60-$80) each. You want them to last a long time. I do have a few less expensive Victoria Secret bras which I will tumble dry but only for a few minutes.

Paula- Call around to your closest Bed,Bath & Beyond store. They sell a beautiful large & small(I'm sure are sold out) wood tea box filled with BENTLEY'S Finest teas. Very inexpensive (especially with your 20% coupon in the mail) They are all Pure Ceylon teas (awesome). Also if you go to Willams and Sonoma they carry a select grouping of fine teas. Enjoy-Enjoy & remember Teas STAIN YOUR TEETH just as bad as coffee. Try to brush(within a few hours) after enjoying to keep your pearls white ;0)

I have this fear as well. I have been not working for nearly two yrs now. I took a hiatus & than officially left my job march 2004. I have been trying to start a few things on the side & mainly find myself eating if there isn't a project going on. Its horrible. I have been trying to prepare myself for a life w/the band & know that it will be MANDATORY for me to always be more busy than I am now. I am hoping that I will be able to walk more when the weather changes, in the mean time I may do additional volunteer work or home projects for friends. I DO NOT think you will fail with the band because you already know what your nemesis is & have the power to change it. We both can do this ;0)
