Hi Betty- My dad's b-day was FEB 20th. He died almost 9 years ago. I feel for you & know the pain & loss you feel. I miss him so much-he was simply the greatest. I stare at his photos everyday- they are under this clear desk protector in my office.I also keep these old comic strips from his desk that he used to keep. He loved Hagar the Horrible & the Lockhearts or Lockmans(i think they were called) Anyhow its that little bit of cherish memories that I look at everyday that I love the most. You know I am the youngest of 4 & still cry about my day AT LEAST once a month. So I hope you have a good cry today & can go through some awesome memories as well. I have this little voice recorder that I found yrs later & on it is my dads voice he says"have you look at the instructions yet?" I play it back once in awhile just to hear the sound of his voice. I miss that the most. Anyhow- sorry your day isn't the best but I thank you for this thread & reminding me how much I miss him. He always made me smile. Thanks Betty & ((Huggs to you))

I say try it - It should all be good don't ya think?? I personally do fresh chicken breast & than slice them up but I would think your way would be just has tasty seeing that it all gets mixed together anyhow. seems fasted & cleaner too. I just may try it myself;0)

My Absolute fav is chopped white onions chopped celery white albacore a little Helmans mayo Salt & pepper And alot of chopped green pimento stuffed olives!! YUM served on anthing - anywhere Another I love but with chicken(chopped up into small chunks) Helmans mayo again salt & pepper Chopped celery loads of freah white grapes sliced in halves must be chilled & than add shell Pasta & a splash of pepperika(spelling) on top! yuummmmmmyyy! served in a bowl or on top lettuce leaves Got to go eat now;0)

I am with ShellyJ I hope to see more new threads about band problems & successes & worries & defeats & rewards-ect-ect..As for the sister"catfight" threads & why I did this & why I am entitled to do that & she said this & ect ...ect... Well I have enough of that outside the internet world. Lets all just move on & forget( Most of us on the LBT really don't give two hoots about what went down & know that it doesn't involve but a couple of individuals.) Its just been rehashed & rehashed & is well "burnt to a crisp now;0)"- Ya know you all love eachother anyway. If you have to IM eachother than do it. Frank- I feel your pain. My father died 9 yrs ago & well it just seems like last year. In fact your father's passing was on my Dad's B-day. All I can say is if its an unfill you need than try it but if you can turn to liquids instead & try to ride this out for a bit I encourage you to do so. I gained aprox 40 to 50 pds over two years when I lost my dad. The worst part was I never even noticed until it was too late. So be good to yourself & kind but also set a goal of gaining your control back. Be it what ever time frame you need. Talk with your family or support groups through your church for parent lose as much as possible. I wish I would have done so for myself & did not. I wish you strenght & time for healing. Good Luck

Wow Betty I am not sure what has been happening ( & truely don't want to know) but if you need to vent girl- why- you just go right ahead and vent. we all need to let steam off once in awhile & its very good to do so. Never keep stuff buried inside it only eats away. AAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHA! Feels good to yell at the top of your lungs. Here in Michigan I had two quotes- one $14,500. includes a full year follow-up & fills. 2nd- $23,000 or moe I can't remember- only included 3 months follow-up & NO FILLS. Both are straight out of pocket- no insurance

My finacial advisor recently (last month) told me that as far as a short term (5 yrs or less)investment, inamed wasn't the way to go. Year to date their stock hasn't had much growth & the main stay is in the silicone field. This was also verified by my(lapband) Doctor who has the stock & said he has been holding steady. If this does improve ( their marketing of their silicone products)then their stock would be better. I also (today) did some research & a few phone calls on Stryker's stock. This is one of the companies that manufactures Laparoscopes( the ones that probably were used on your belly during surgery for the band) for weight loss surgery. They have been a very steady climber in the past 10 years & was told as a long term investment that they would be a solid company. As for short term- well that is always hard to pick. The Martha Stewart would have been an awesome pick months ago - but if you look at the stock today it has already peaked since her new book & tv contract. I sure missed the boat there. As Grandpa always said( & he was a very smart man) any investment in stocks should be one that your willing to wait at least 10 years for. Slow like a turtle will always win over a rabbit. Anyhow thats my two cents for what its worth- which is about 1 cent -lol LaMadam- i in no way mean to frown apon your inamed stock - i was just commenting on what my advisor had said- I wish you luck & everyone else who has it;)
