Have you tried cream of ______ soups and cottage cheese? Those 2 were my saving grace.

    Sleevers over 300lbs?

My longest stall was almost a month long! But I'm steadily losing now.

    Low Caloric Intake

I still have a low calorie problem. I'm afraid to over do it with food. I tend to do protein shakes when I need extra calories. They're always packed with them and protein is always a plus

    Sex after Sleeve

At first I didn't want sex. Once I lost about 20 pounds, I wanted a lot of sex. And now... I'll take it any time lol

    Lifting restrictions?

I stuck to it as well. At 6 weeks, I tried a class at the gym. Cardio, weight training. I had that shooting pain from the first week return. Don't push, you'll heal up soon enough

Got my denial letter from BCBS today :(

In order to prove that you followed the diet, you should keep a food diary or attend something like weight watchers. I agree with the person above me ^^ I eat about 500-800 calories a day and am constantly in starvation mode yet I've lost. Try to modify what you're eating, exercise, and track. Then, when you submit again, they have no excuse to deny because you've covered all of your bases

Did Your Mirena Affect Your Surgery

Kaiser had us stop all forms of birth control 3 months before surgery. Heparin shots in the hospital hurt like a b....

    back pain

I'm in the same boat. Pre-op, I slouched because of my boobs. Now, I still do the same lol. I'm working on it, but it really helps

    Sleevers over 300lbs?

Highest weight: 330 Surgery day: 305 Current weight: 220 I'm short, 5'4, so the weight is obvious on me, not that I could hide it... Progressing along nicely I think. Not as fast as some, but slow and steady wins the race

Oh what a difference a year makes!

Thanks for the response. My goal weight is 175. You look so good!!! How tall are you?
  14. SeriouslyChange

Oh what a difference a year makes!

How much had you lost at 6 months? I too started out at a 24/26. Hoping to look like you a year out
  15. HW: 330 CW: 220 Goal by June 1st: 199 but getting under 210 would make me just as happy

    Question about Alcohol ????

You will be able to drink post op. I had a couple drinks about 6-8 weeks out. Calorie wise, alcohol isn't a good choice though.

    My body itches?

I'm 5.5 months out and I itch! I'm not dirty, and no allergies, but I itch like crazy mostly where I have stretch marks. Anyone else with this problem? Or know why it's happening?
  19. I'm 24, was 23 when I was sleeved. In the 5.5 months since surgery, my life has changed for the better. My weight held me back and was always my go to excuse for why I couldn't do something. I would have the sleeve again in a heartbeat. I miss eating a full meal, but my confidence is up, I'm motivated to try new things, and I'm not scared of the world anymore. Today I am wearing a dress. I haven't worn a dress since senior year graduation when I was 18. I am very thankful for my sleeve.

    back pain

I think I made a thread about this too a few month ago. Try to work on your posture. It helps. My body was off because I would always slouch preop. Now I stand up straight and my back pain isn't that bad

    A theory about stalls...

Your theory seems pretty valid. If my weight declines steadily and then I stall in about 3 weeks to a month, I'll let you know!

    10 weeks, can eat more?

I have days, like this morning, where I can eat 2-3 tablespoons of food and be full. Then I have days where I've eaten almost 3/4 of a sandwich. I think it's normal, weight is still coming off nicely. Just don't go too crazy too often and all will be well
  23. SeriouslyChange

    When can you drink again?

I second what Sarah said. I drank at 6 weeks. Just watch how much you drink, calorie wise, it's not good to drink often
  24. It is normal, you were cut open. It will go away with time.
  25. Yes. I will be honest and say that there are time when I think to myself, I wish I could have a whole plate. Then I look in the mirror and I don't miss it at all I tend to binge on salad. I eat mostly protein, so I go all out when I allow myself some greens
