I have never been a fan of carbonation, can I drink soda? Yes and I don't feel that it does much in the stretching aspect. However, if you can kick the soda habit, then do it! Take this time that you will be without to think about what you want to change because this is the perfect opportunity! Everything in moderation

So I just got to onederland, yay... Issue: I have been eating so bad these past 2 days. And eating whatever. I understand that it gets harder as you go out. But this is f-ing ridiculous. It's like I'm daring my body to gain on me. And this all started as soon as I dipped under 200... I'm sure there is something psychologically wrong with me but how can I get this under control?

Anyone not take a vitamin?
SeriouslyChange replied to Linkin's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You should take a small chewy multi at the very least. My blood work was perfect at 3 months. And by 6, it all crashed. I'm a big vitamin advocate now. I use to think that I'd be fine without, but I wasn't okay. Since we can't eat out way to high levels of Vitamins anymore, multis and supplements are the only thing we can do. -
Anyone not take a vitamin?
SeriouslyChange replied to Linkin's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I never did. I'm 7.5 months out. My 6 month blood work came back and I'm super deficient. In everything. It sucks because I'm tired all the time now a days. I would suggest getting on at the very least a multi. It helps in the long run, seriously -
I am scared I am not going to lose any more weight

You're 6 weeks out. Relax. I hit a 4 week stall early on as well. Just wait until you hit 3 months. You'll be amazed! -
Cheesecake Factory low carb cheesecake?
SeriouslyChange replied to shielanotsheila's topic in Food and Nutrition
sugar free Popsicle is sweet. Fruit is sweet. Ultimately the decision is yours, but cheesecake is a horrible choice. It is packed with fat and sugar. You should use the beginning of surgery as a gateway to a healthier eating lifestyle. I'm not saying eat healthy always, but making wise decisions early out helps you in the long run. At 4 weeks, I was eating thin sliced ham with mozzarella cheese Just really think about it and if you must, stop at 1 or 2 bites. Don't over do it on the cheesecake. And low carb makes no difference. It's still super super high in calories and of low nutritional value. -
FINALLY! Somebody noticed
SeriouslyChange replied to zenandnow's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I also got kind of mad when no one noticed early out. Now a days, it's like OMG!!!!! WHAT HAPPENED?!?!??!! -
Has this ever happened to anyone else? I'm not sure what exactly this could mean, but I get small bumps, not hives, after eating certain things and they itch like crazy. I don't have allergies though... Anyone?

Bump, I'm still scratching myself

Track ovulation. If you must have sex without protection, there are certain days that are better than others. Then again, you shouldnt play with fire... -
2 months post-op
SeriouslyChange replied to fran25's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'd stay away from the tortilla if you haven't had one before. It'll swell up in your stomach and there goes dinner. Just cheese is yummy too! -

SeriouslyChange replied to NewAshes's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A

Sorry to break your heart, but the sleeve is f-ing amazing. the lapband... enough said. -
I'm 6.5 months out, and there are very few things I cannot handle. High fat meats and bacon being examples of what makes me sick. As time passes, you'll feel better with things, but don't push as you are still pretty early out.

Suggestion for hair loss
SeriouslyChange replied to SimplyFAB's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My hair loss started at 3 months. Lost about half the thickness of my hair. Now at 6.5 months, it's slowing and growing back! It gets better, hang in there! -
I'm almost 7 months down, and 120 lbs down. I exercised 1 hour a day, 3 times a week, for 3 weeks about a month ago. Not for me. I now walk about a mile or 2 a day, on my way to work 5 days a week. Walking isn't too bad, but I suppose exercise is exercise? Before my gym membership, I would have died to exercise. And even at the gym, my skin is all jiggly and gross... So to answer your question: No. I do not exercise and I have still lost. If I can find the article I just read, I will attach a link. It states that either reducing calories or increasing exercise both do the same thing. It's just a preference as to which you would want to do.

Why Are Tea/coffee Taboo Post Surgery ?
SeriouslyChange replied to indian's topic in Food and Nutrition
I end up awake for over 24 hrs with caffeine. I wasn't a coffee or tea drinker preop, so when I had iced tea 4 weeks out, it was pretty intense -
Swallowing pills post op
SeriouslyChange replied to cmathews77's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I haven't touched a pill since surgery. It's a personal preference, Doctor cleared me for pills 2 weeks out -
regreting this whole thing
SeriouslyChange replied to ********'s topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thrift stores are a must. Can you say 5 dollar pants? CHEAP. Take a breath and relax. Stalls are normal and I stalled out a lot. You're still pretty new, so relax and just take it in stride. Everything will work out in the end. Stay focused and look at the bigger picture. How long would it have take. You to lose those 30 pounds before the sleeve? Everyone loses at a different rate. Compare yourself to no one as your body is different than the next persons. -
I thought it was alright. I still have my sealed bottle of liquid Vicodin. I've never had children or surgery before the sleeve, but if the pain is about the same, then I don't see why people complain about the pains of childbirth.

Question for the sleevers over 6 months +
SeriouslyChange replied to ladylaura's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was eating baby food, cream of _______ soups, my Protein drink, and queso fresco at 9 days. I could barely tolerate 1/4 cup of anything for a while. Now at 6 months, I eat whatever I want when I want. High fat foods make me sick, like Cheetos or Chinese food. I tend to eat mostly protein with a side of cheese lol
