    Ok, I am officially insane!

Actually if you read your previous post you pretty much stated that expecting to be treated with "kid gloves" is unrealistic. We are all adults. As you also stated, this is "tough love" well it's tough love for all of you guys that like to come on threads putting people down. What did YOU expect? For everyone to jump on your bandwagon? A lot of us have been bullied in the past. And bullying comes in many forms. You were also at a point in your life where you'd rather junk to healthy options. And if you really think a "kick in the butt" solves the situation, reality is it doesn't. It makes people feel like sh*t about themselves, to lose focus, and to start to hate themselves. This is a new beginning for a lot of us. Why can't we all just be supportive of each other? No one understands these situations better than all of us as we've all been there before.
  2. My grandmother passed away 2 days before my birthday and I realized that if I looked back on my life when I was 90, I wouldn't want to think, "if only I did something about my weight instead of letting it hold me back." I couldn't fit in movie theater seats. I am always sweating at work. I always feel like people are looking at how fat I am. Most of it is in my head and it took me a few years to work on those demons. Now I am finally ready to work on my life as a whole and improve my future physically and mentally.

I Can't Wait To Not Have To...

I can't wait to finally be happy with my body. I'm sure i won't look perfect but getting to a 16-18 from a 24-26 is perfect for me.

    Why dont I have a pre-opp diet?

I had a couple of classes, blood work, and a sleep study. If you don't mind me asking, how old are you? My surgeon said they don't require a lot of tests for younger patients

Oh okay. The acid reflux is killer. My favorite is tomatoe soup and it kills my stomach but tastes delicious, lol

    Sweet Taste

I have an almost Splenda like taste in my mouth as well. It gets pretty annoying really fast. Will the taste go away when I stop loosing? Or when will it go away?

    11 weeks out

It's what I am truly dreading when I go back to work. Many people at my job know that I was sleeved. And I feel as though big brother will be watching.

    Ok, I am officially insane!

I'm almost 2 weeks out so I know how you're feeling. I feel as though I'm getting "hungry" lol I wouldn't reccomend starches as a starter food. Try cottage cheese, an egg, or some thinly sliced deli meat. I'm looking forward to the eggs as soon as my surgeon Okays it on Tuesday.

    Post Op Rash? Hormones?

If you're having a reaction to the surgical tape and OTC cream isn't working, visit your primary care doctor. They can prescribe you something for that. Happened to me too! And now I have scabs from all the scratching

    Just curious!

You probably have denser bones and are more muscular than others. I was told that if I worked out a lot, I could end up a super buff size 4 at 175 pounds and I'm 5'4. Muscle does weigh more than fat.

    Attn kaiser members.....

Mine was 7 months out. If it hadn't been for me finding out I had sleep apnea at 4 months in, i would have been sleeved at 4 months. It really depends on your appointments. Start the program, push for classes ASAP

    Learning Experience!

Yeah, just ask if they have experience with overeating or Bariatric patients. It's a pretty common issue that a lot of us face so I'm sure you can find someone

    Learning Experience!

Speak with your psychologist that you had to see to get your date. Many of them have seen these problems before as they have to evaluate us all.

Not able to stop loosing weight ?

From what I've read your body eventually settles at a weight. May be past your goal but yeah. I wouldn't reccomend slider foods and high calorie foods just because you don't want to get back into bad habits and end up gaining a whole lot more weight.

Surgery Is Tomorrow 12/6 ! So Nervous

I was crying when they wheeled me into the operating room. I was so scared. And I made sure my surgeon knew. But I was also very excited. I'm 9 days out and it's been an interesting journey so far. Proves to me that i can do anything that I put my mind to.
