Whay i haven't lose any weight in 7 months post-op! why, why? any one out there?
SeriouslyChange replied to chiki's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Chiki, instead of toast for breakfast, what if you had an egg? -
I think it's funny because the Mayans have another calendar that starts tomorrow. I dunno, I think the media hyped this whole "doomsday" up and now everyone's freaking out. I was told that the ending of the Mayan calendar signifies the end of an era, and the beginning of a new one. That there will be change, positive or negative, but not that we're all goners. Plus like someone else said, the bible says no man knows when the end is coming. I'll be laughing all day today

Overwhelmed and Frustrated

I know what you mean. A few days ago I had baked salmon and Beans for lunch. Salmon is my FAVORITE! I had 3 bites and was full. I had it again for dinner. And again as a snack. Salmon ended up flushed down the toilet. I couldn't handle just 3 bites. I tried 4 bites and felt so stuffed. So out my entire meal was tossed in the toilet and flushed. I'm looking forward to sashimi lol. My NUT thought I was crazy, but I love sashimi and ceviche! It'll get better. I'm kind of sad at times that I will never be able to binge again. But the. I get happy because food doesn't control me as it did before. As I type this I am sitting with a pizza lunchables to my right next to my hand as my room mate will be eating it. And I feel... Nothing. No cravings. No wanting to have a bite. It feels pretty good -

How many calories do you think you eat in a day? For example, what did you eat and drink today? -
Overwhelmed and Frustrated
SeriouslyChange replied to vanessabalderas's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have to force myself to eat sometime because I just don't want to. It's nice to not be hungry but it sucks because I hate forcing myself. I can drink liquids easily though I find myself drinking like 2 oz in one chug and its nice. Almost normal! Lol How's your Water and food going? What are you eating? I was sleeved 11/26 -
The Ridiculous, Rude Comments Of Others....
SeriouslyChange replied to nursemeg89's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I would always get, "you have such a pretty face. If only you'd work on your body, then you'd be something!" With a smile. I have wanted to slap people for what they consider "motivating" comments. I'm having another surgery (unrelated to VSG), and when I informed the surgeon of my at the time upcoming VSG, he looks at me and says, "well, you're going to be a pretty little thing then aren't you?" I got soooo red. But he was totally for VSG and told me that I should feel proud that I want to do something that will change my life. He's also a plastic surgeon so in case I need plastics in the future, he's my guy! Lol -
Stomach Exercises
SeriouslyChange replied to Julieann87's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm 3, almost 4 weeks out. I was okay pain wise, almost nonexistent. My crunches brought back a pain in my biggest incision. Check with your surgeon. I wish I had waited. -
This is going to sound odd, but does anyone like drinking the juice from a can of tuna in water? I am OBSESSED with the stuff and wish they sold it in bottles, but my room mate looks at me like I'm a wacko!
-
I have a lot of issues with salmon but can eat tuna all day. And I love salmon : ( If you find out why you can't handle tuna, please let me know. Maybe it's the same reason I can't handle salmon.

Have you tried salmon?

Why sugar free?
SeriouslyChange replied to SeriouslyChange's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yeah, I track every single calorie and the Popsicle still fell within my range. I only ate half but i felt a little loopy, almost high, for a bit. I think maybe it was sugar overload lol. I think as long as I don't make sugar a habit it should be fine but I emailed my NUT as well to be sure. -
I'm just curious. I was invited to eat a Popsicle (lol) and it has 80 calories but is not sugar free. Is sugar free a must or why do we go sugar free?
-
Have you tried it plain? Maybe the way you're making it doesn't agree with you.

How long do u get off work?
SeriouslyChange replied to persiankity33's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Depends on what you do for a living. I was back at work in 15 days -
Measure yourself. I still feel like I haven't lost weight but my pants are sagging and my tops are loose.

I am not telling anyone other than the people who already know. So like 5 people from my work and a few members of my family. I will be more than happy to tell the world how successful WLS can be when I loose a significant amount, but until then, I don't even tell people I'm dieting. I say nothing lol. I don't want any negativity around me while I proceed on this journey. It was hard for me to commit to something like this and I don't want anyone watching me or asking questions or anything just yet. One of the reasons I got sleeved was to raise awareness to a large portion of people that I know who are overweight and with health conditions, who fail time and time again on diets, and who have the same insurance I do and it would be so beneficial for them. I had never met anyone who had had WLS. I went in with high hopes and dreams that this will work. And I sure hope it helps me. And in turn it may help others out there in my community know that this is an option and there are people out there who do do this. It's not as negative as many make it out to be.

HELP ME! I'm three weeks out and ate a piece of toast!
SeriouslyChange replied to geralynbrock's topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
Have you tried cottage cheese? Does your NUT approve of eggs? I'm eating: a hard boiled egg, a few small mozzarella balls, thinly sliced turkey, and tuna is amazing to me lol Salmon and Beans I had for lunch yesterday but it seemed really heavy on my stomach. -
New to all of this
SeriouslyChange replied to college_chick's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I asked during my seminar how many people had died on the table at this hospital. Seems kind of blunt and I got a lot of strange looks for it, but I truly wanted to know -
Sleeved yesterday- cant drink water. Is this typical?
SeriouslyChange replied to Gourt's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Water sucks for me to this day and I'm 3 weeks out. Small sips, try different temperatures. -
At 3 weeks out, how many calories should I be consuming?
