Who hated protein powder but found a good on?
chosen1 replied to Fit2btied's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I got sick of all the vanilla/chock/strawberry milk/whey based powders & shakes; finally tried Syntrax Nectar, sold at The Vitamin Shop, there are 12 flavors, my favs are lemon tea & strawberry. -

Thanks for the reminder...going to pick mine up today. -
Today I am 7weeks post op, & my 3rd week working out at the gym (cardio only)....I'm steady building myself up....but only averaging between 350-450 calories burned, just wondering if this is enough or what range should I be in. I usually spend about 45mins to an hour....I've been walking/running the treadmill, a few days I did the elliptical, today was the stair master ;(

Today I am 5 weeks post op. Monday I returned to work...thinking I was pain free. Yesterday was pretty uncomfortable...pain level was low, but bothersome...like I just needed to ly down for a while. I sit at a desk, but I do get up and walk frequently throughout the day. Just wandering when will I be completely healed, pain free and have that feeling of normalcy. -

I just had my one month post op follow up with my dr. He told me to up my protein to 100grams a day. This seems like a like for only 1 month out. last week I just started hitting between 70-80. Anyone else out there one month and hitting 100 grams of protein a day? Just seems like the impossible right now.

I am two weeks today.....my first encounter with a protein shake, within minutes I was running to the toilet. The next 2 or 3 try's got much better. I can now tolerate most all full liquids.
-
Last week it really hurt when I swallowed too much or too fast...I'm now 12 days post op and I don't feel pain at all. My swallowing almost normal. I too was scared, and thought it was going to LSAT much longer.....but I'm def glad that phase is over #fingers crossed it doesn't come back.
