I finally get to go talk to the wls about having the sleeve! Im terrified!!! Reason being, this is my second time meeting with him. First time he denied me because my bmi didn't meet qualifications. However; i was going through a rough spot..divorce that is, so i wasnt eating. I lost 30+ pounds. My original weight is 240+ so im hoping he approves me this time!!

Did anyone have a catheter? I read through a few things and I saw that the dr required a catheter because they will record your output every hour...I'm so terrified of that!!!

I'm new here and I'm really starting to get indecisive about whether I should get the gastric sleeve or gastric bypass. I was considering doing the sleeve cause I think that's what would fit me best. Then now the gastric bypass because I have a very bad sweet tooth!! Please help me out (:

Thanks! I think I am going to go with the sleeve. -
Here at the hospital in ga the surgeon says bmi 35 with comorbidities and 40 and above automatically approved. So I'm hoping this time I can get approved with the bmi of 43 almost 44

My thing is the first time I had my meeting with the surgeon he said basically I didn't qualify I had the bmi of 39 and it needed to 40 or greater. Well now I'm going back to see him I'm at my normal weight which is 242-245 I was 215 at the time an I'm 5'2. I was going through a divorce and I did not eat so I was basically starving my self when I loss 34 pounds.

Hey I'm new on this forum my name is desteney and I'm 21 years old. This is my story I'm 238-240 and I'm 5'2 I'm considering having the sleeve done. This is not my first rodeo. Last year around October I went to see the weight loss surgeon and he told me I didn't qualify for surgery my bmi was 39 at the time and I didn't have any co morbidities. I was so depressed when I left out his office I've done everything in my will power to loose weight I lost 30pounds gained it all back plus more. So here I am 238-240 bmi 43. I've been to the seminar and now I'm waiting to get insurance again to make my appointment to go see the dr. Fingers crossed this time!!!
