If you are driving over (or being driven) she can go to the DMV (Secretary of State) and apply for a passport card also called an enhanced drivers license. (Common for border residents that commute across for work) She will need her current drivers license and Birth Certificate... It will cost around 55.00 (may vary by state, call first) they will staple a temporary card to her current license (just like when you renew it) and that along with her Birth Certificate should be all that is needed. Hopefully you were issued a refund for the failed passport attempt. Sorry this is so long! Hope this helps.

I feel like Im loosing my ever flippen mind!! My surgery is in 15 days... I am stalking the mess out of this forum! Will I have a leak? Will I get dehydrated? Will this really work for me? Will someone kidnap my fat ass in Mexico? Have I lost my mind? Will some other tragedy fall upon me before I get it done? Is this really going to happen? Will I go bald? What am I going to tell people? K. I'm done. Sorry just had to vent.:-)

So I've read a few things on here stating some doctors do 2 leak tests before you leave and even give you a DVD with proof of the results which raises 3 questions: 1.) once you are found to be leak free, are you good to go or is it possible to develop a leak further out? 2.) if the doc finds a leak does he wheel you back down the hall and throw a few more stitches in? 3.) is the test done with X-ray and contrast? Do you swallow/ drink something or is it injected down your throat? I know leaks are very rare and I hope I don't sound paranoid, just covering the what -ifs, ya know? Thanks in advance.

it's usually anesthesia's call..., and that just depends on the doc and how they were trained. It would be worth a phone call to your coordinator before you get on the plane but it should probably be fine.
