    newbie

You're pretty anxious. You need to remember that eventually you can eat normal foods again but it will be no where near the portion you're having now. So no need to have those funerals You aren't nuts at all. Some people get into the groove faster than others. Trust me when I tell you, you will find yours soon. I didn't find my groove until after the surgery. You are not a loser either. You are doing the same thing a lot of us did before surgery. I gained weight before mine too. If that makes us loser, then so be it. At least you are now among your own. Continue to read the posts and don't be afraid to reach out. This journey is highly emotional.

    Always cold

Yes I was always cold for several weeks after the surgery. Even now, I've lost about 93lbs in 4 monts, I don't sweat as easily as I did before. I barley sweat as a matter of fact. I have basically removed a 93lbs jacket, so yes you will be cold until your body adjusts.

    Upper GI endoscopy question

I was knocked out pretty quick once in the room. I don't remember a thing. I think on a scale of 1-10 my sore throat was about a 2 the next day.

    Impatiently waiting

It will happen when you least expect it.

    sleep study

Hopefully that was just your insurance. Mine didn't require that.

    Any Jersey Sleevers?

After three days of being in the liquid diet it becomes easy. Just make sure you have all the stuff you need for each day. Your energy level may be to low to go out and restock your supplies.

    sleep study

The CPap won't mess with the surgery at all. You'll just need to bring it with you. Since the surgery I have stopped snoring and don't use my machine anymore. You'll be fine. I found out the same way you did.

    Bowel movements

Be happy you don't have diarrhea!! I had it for days. After that I went about a week without going and now it's every other day or two. Remember you're not putting a lot of food in anymore, so there is less waste.

    Side sleepers?

After about 4-5 nights I slowly rotated more and more to my side. While on my side I put a pillow underneath my stomach to help support it. It actually didn't hurt as bad as you think when I just laid on my stomach.
  10. I'm just over 3 months out and have stalled at 316lbs. I have lost 80 total pounds, but have been stuck for the last two weeks. Ahhhhhh!!!!
  11. It's totally normal. It took me a couple weeks to get the full feeling. Like someone else mentioned, once you are on a more normal diet, you'll feel it.
  12. I just order a regular meal and take the rest home. A meal at a restaurant usually lasts me 4 nights. I have eaten out three times.
  13. You should write down any questions you may have so you don't forget. My surgeon explained everything in detail so I didn't have too many questions. Ask what he requires you to do as far as a diet and what tests he needs you to do. I had my surgery 2 months ago and the sleeve is the best.
  14. I'm down 71lbs overall. I was sleeved on 3/4.
  15. Check in with how you're doing and what you've lost I started at 396 and weighed in just now at 332. That's 64lbs!!!
  16. Oops stupid autocorrecting phone.

    Stalled at Week 3

Nothing you're saying is out of the ordinary. It gets better each day and each week. Don't force your self to eat more calories if you can't.

    Stalled at Week 3

I stalled at about week 3. It's frustrating. I only weigh my self once a week now. Weigh yourself in the morning after you wake up.
