HI All, My name is Karen and a motn ago I underwent the Gastric Plication surgery in Santa Cruz, Bolivia. I was wondering if there are any other members that have had this procedure done. I am doing so well and have lost 34 lbs in 4 weeks and feel really good. I start eating solids tomorrow and have had very little hunger. The deisre is still there but I'm controlling it.

I have lost 40 lbs already, and counting! My surgery was done on January 3rd and I feel WONDERFUL! I have not had any complications and my stomach pretty much accept all kinds of food, no sickness or nausea or anything. I'm keeping away from carbs, sugars and fatty stuff to help with the weight loss but I can tolerate pretty much everything. My life has changed so much and I feel very blessed. I absolutely feel no regret about the plication surgery.

Hi All! I've been reading the postings on this page for quite a while. Since the date of my surgery is now very close (January 3rd, 2012!), I decided to join the forum and become part of this community. My life is about to change and I am so nervous! I am having my surgery in Santa Cruz, Bolivia. I am originally from Bolivia but currently living in Miami, FL. I have several family member and friends that have had the surgery there and are happy with the procedure. I haven't heard of anyone here having the operation there... Anyone out there? If so, let me know. I am paying out of pocket since battling my insurance here was a never ending hassle. I decided to go that route. I will keep you all posted on how things go with me.
