For 19 years I have been morbid obese and my health just kept getting worse as the years went on. I began my weight loss journey in December 2011 after a fall that took forever to recover from. On March 28, 2012 I was blessed when my insurance company gave me the green light to have a sleeve. I am now 8 months post op and have such energy and a renewed sense of life. I am down 70 lbs and am off all of my medicatioins and am taking only my daily vitamins/minerals. I am so thankful to be alive and well. If I had the opportunity to do the sleeve again tomorrow, I would do it without hesitation. It is a lot of hard work getting the head, heart and stomach on the same page, but the reward of health is so worth it. My new lifestyle with food is becoming second nature, my husband calls me his cheap date. That's okay, I am proud of my accomplishments and so happy to be here. My grandchildren have not seen me since my sleeve, they have never known me as healthy, what a Holiday season this will be. I am learning to love the new me.
