seppi replied to DAA's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I was back in 4 days. Felt OK just a bit tired. -
HI-I am glad to see that everyone from July is doing so great!! I am down 55, 2 fills and think I have the perfect restriction. Wish I could get up and get moving a bit more. We have joined the local YMCA and will start this week as a family.( Me, Husband and 2 kids) They have a workout room for kids. Should be fun.

Thanks you guys. I have loosened up a bit. I think that I will get wait a bit for eggs. I guess this is a learning process throughout the entire time.

I had my 2nd fill 3 days ago. I stayed on the liquids for a day and then slowly am trying to add soft foods. I can eat an entire yogurt, no problem . Earlier today I had a protien shake and could only drink about 3 ounces. I figured maybe I was still full from the yogurt (2.5 hours before)Tonight I tried to eat some scrambled eggs and got about 3 very small bites down, I felt horrible, it felt like something was stuck, then some came back up. I am wondering if I am too full, did I eat the wrong thing, did I eat too fast? or maybe I just need to take more time with the liquids. Is this normal? Any responses would be greatly appreciated.

I eat all veggies. I also eat many beans because I only eat poultry. No beef or pork. I make sure that If I am running low on protien I add bene-protien or a shake to get to 70 grams. Remember that cottage cheese and eggs are also a good source, thats if you eat them.

Calling all Patients of Advanced Laparoscopic
seppi replied to adp240's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I had my first fill about 8 weeks ago, It was cake. There was no waiting ( unlike the office) and you are given a shot so the only thing you feel is a little prick, less than a flu shot. And then Dr. Bertha showed me what it would feel like to bee totally restricted, then he took some out. I had to drink some water, kind of neat seeing it on the screen. And then I was good to go. I was there less than 1 hour and that included registration. I was told to stay on liquids for 24 hours. Don't worry, it really is the easy part of this journey. -
Hi- I remember you from the pre-class. You look wonderful! Keep up the good work

Congratulations! It is hard enough to go through all the insurance stuff without having to deal with a doctor that's not listening to the patient. Good luck! -
MY PCP IS CAUSING ME MAJOR ISSUES my vent

Can you change PCP's ? Maybe get one that has a clue? -
Well hello, I too am from NJ I have posted a few times on the NJ site. I am from Morris county and was banded in July. I am down 35, wish it was more. Is anyone here from my area?
-
I have had problems with grilled chicken. I don't eat beef or pork so poultry is about it. If I add some sort of lubricant to it it really helps. Also very small bites chewed really, really well. I haven't tried alot of stuff yet. Oh! peanut butter in large amount, like 1-2 teaspoons at a clip caused major pain. That was just stupid on my part.

Thank You, what a great idea!

Kind of fun, not what I expected. You have to follow the directions. http://www.coorslight.com/iceswipe/

I don't think that is old. My kids would think so, but anyone over 21 is ancient to them. there is no age limit on trying to get healthy. I haven't read anything that supports an age limit.

Unreal! I happy I'm not the only one that wants to dress up the "family"

Wonderful! You will feel better and better every day!
