GNC sells a powder mix, it has 25 grams of prtien per scoop. It's really good. The chocolate is the best. -

Good luck and let us know how you make out!

I was swollen for a while. It will go down gradually. I just took tylenol when it was sore and that seemed to do the trick. I also found that a warm shower was wonderful.

I was in bed, I flipped over on my back, I had had to have an unfill earlier in the day and was kind of depressed. My arm slid across my upper stomach, I though G*D D*mn it, the port has flipped and is sticking out. Now what am I going to do? I felt around to see if I could feel how bad it was and suddenly realized that they were my ribs that I was feeling. I cannot believe it, I have felt them like that in years. What a great way to end a terrible day!!!

I wans't weighed the day of surgery-the last time they (doctors office) weighed me was the last visit before surgery. Once I got to the hospital I had little time before the surgery and they didn't weigh me there. In fact I gained a 2 pounds between my office visit and the surgery. I am not saying that you should go crazy and "last supper it" but I woiuldn't get nuts about a few pounds.

I wish you the best and I really hope that you get some answers! Maybe the tests will show something that will hepl you find the answers.

Excellent!! Keep up the great work! -
I am having some trouble with reflux/indigestion/or a too full fill. I called the doctors office and they had the doctor call me. He said I can go to the emergency room and wait for several hours (he was in surgery) or I can have a total unfill in the office later in the week. I told him that I don't want to be totally unfilled, he said that he could remove just a little because he wouldn't know how much was there. He said I would then have to make an appointment to have an adjustment. Well, I decided to go in on Thrusday and have the unfilll. The next available appointment for fills isn't until the 23rd of March. (they only do fills 2x/month) I made that appointment. Now here's the problem-How am I going to NOT GAIN!! I am scared that once I am unrestricted all hell will break loose and I will mess this up. I have the band becasue I am unable to stay on a diet. I know the damage that I can do in 2 weeks. Any words or wisdom will be appreciated.

I bought bene-protien. I have mixed it into cottage cheese and juice. It doesn't really have a taste, but it does add some texture.

I was banded in July, having been losing oK. Had my 2nd fill about 8 weeks ago. I have to drink slow, eat very slow and have pain at every couple of meals in the last 2 weeks-no real PB's. I am having some reflux. (or what I think is reflux.) I ended up in the emergeny room, thought there was something wrong with my heart. They ran ekg's and monitors. They decided it was something gastro-intestinal. I guess my question is..am I too tight or am I eating too much, will the reflux go away or am I looking for trouble, do I need a slight unfill? How do I know if the band is too tight? I cannot eat or even drink until I am up for about an hour. I feel like I need to clear my throat. Then I can eat some, lunch is OK (small amount)but at dinner I am tight again, have to struggle to get, even a small, portion in. I can eat ice cream-slowly -with no problems. Any responses would be appreciated.

Alexra-I will be there. Should be fun. I am going to call the Dr. in the morning. It just confuses me. Sometimes it's OK, not good, just OK and other times it is miserable. I think a little unfill will do the trick.

Ok now this is really starting to bother me. I am having trouble getting my shake down. I have a burning in my throat and feel full after 2 sips. I had a small amount of warm-no caffine tea about 45 minutes ago, hoping that it would sooth my "passage way" I think I need to call my doctor and get a little bit taken out. I cannot keep going on like this.

My feet are getting a bit smaller, my 10's are roomy and they definatley narrower! Shoes that felt tight are now comfortable!

Maybe You Are Right. I Eat Sometimes When The Clock Says To Eat. I Thought Or Think It Was Reflux Because It Feels Like The Food/liquid Is Coming Back Up. Maybe I Am Still Full Form The Previos Meal. Thank You For Your Input.

I have a 4.occ band. My first fill was 1.6 and the second added another 1.0, for a total of 2.6. I guess I am kind of scared about the indigestion. I think that you are right in that the fill didn't really kick in until a few weeks later.

I was back in 4 days. Everyone is different. Go back when you feel that you can do your job. If it is physical you may need a bit more time. I had to run down a hallway about 2 days after I was back, didn't really hurt just a bit uncomfortable.
-
I didn't tell anyone at work except for a close friend who was going to do it too. I took 4 days vacation. Because the weight loss has been slow and steady no one is the wiser. I work with about 170 men, I didn't want them to know. So far so good.

I am tight in the morning too. I usually have a shake "to go". Lunch is my biggest meal, I try to eat a medium sized dinner. Nothing after 600.I am not hungry. My head says I am but I am really OK, It took me 3 months to figure this out and am still trying to get what Hunger feels like.

I can only drink about 1/2 cup of coffee when I get up. I do that, it takes about 20 minutes. I wait about an hour then have anothe cup then a shake. All goes down slowly. Nothing else is going to go down until about lunch time. Lunch seems to be the best time of day for me. I seem to tighten up at dinner a little. I can eat just not very much.

Congratulations! I love to see the numbers go down!

I was stuck at the same weight for a few weeks and was miserable. I was sure that this would be another failed attempt at weight loss for me. A friend of mine told me that me that she was sure that I wasn't drinking enough water. She always has a bottle with her, I started tracking the water and low an behold I wasn't. I upped the amount and saw a drop of 2 pounds in a week. That seemed to get me going again. It takes a conscious effort on my part to get the water in. But it really did help. Just a thought.
