Tell me how your Taste Buds have changed.
LifetimeLoser replied to css95's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Obviously everyone is different. At first, everything was super sweet. I am 6 months post op and feel my taste buds changing again. I tend to crave fish a lot. I don't want to eat chicken at all...I have had some sugar cravings, but it just isn't as satisfying as it was before surgery. I don't feel the endorphines anymore! -

January sleevers......what's your weight loss so far?
LifetimeLoser replied to pottergirl's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
96 pounds loss. surgery date January 30th, 2013. So happy I made this decision. Pics soon to come. -
your pappy was a very smart man. I also try not to discuss those two things because people on every "side" of that circle are very passionate and emotional about his side...doesn't make for much of a discussion when the emotion gets in there...then its a cat fight...meowwwww

I saw a few. One part calling everyone who didn't support the Christian thread bigots. Another likening talking to atheists as a former experience talking to someone in a mental institution. There were lots of attacks on both sides of the thread. I also commented on that thread just trying to make a point that it was a topic that would start a lot of controversy. And it did.

It's a phantom forum...not really there. Giving you the illusion of being able to speak your mind, but in reality only certain kinds of offensive behavior is allowed.

I'm going to try thinking of it as medicine...thanks

Worst Case Scenarios
LifetimeLoser replied to bettyboo's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
wasting a lot of food, disinterested in food, extremely active where it starts to affect multiple relationships, you might lose some old friends and gain some new ones, body odor, fatigue -
never heard of it, but keep me posted on the results.

Happy for you. I know it feels amazing. keep on truckin

I just found a garbage bag of clothes from 4 years ago. There are still tags on it! I haven't been able to fit them until now...some I still don't fit for another 20 pounds, but it is like I went shopping, but spent no money!

Crystal light
LifetimeLoser replied to flyme_places's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
yes. I have problems with this sort of thing a lot. I buy a lot of food, drink stuff, and waste a lot and wasting is one of my hugest pet peeves. fiddleman is right, it can give me some reflux also. I do like the propel zero packets I have found in sam's club. -

Do light weights lose slower?
LifetimeLoser replied to Bellanthin's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I think that is the general consensus, but keep in mind that 20 pounds coming off someone who is 220 vs. someone who is 320 is going to be more noticeable because it is a higher percentage of loss. Also, you will be closer to your goal weight than those who have more to lose AND less saggy skin. So don't fret...I wish I was a light weight, but I am not and must go the long road. -
5 Weeks Post-OP Still Teaching Myself to Eat Slowly
LifetimeLoser commented on joatsaint's blog entry in Gastric Sleeve Surgery - An Unexpected Journey
6 months out and sometimes still do this. I don't expect to be a pro at this. I mean 32 years of stuffing my face vs. 6 months of trying to eat slow. No comparison there! Lifestyle changes don't happen overnight just have to keep on truckin. -
omgeeeee. Every time I read people's post that say, "why am I a slow looser?"...gah it drives me up the wall! I understand, totally. I've always wanted to be like...it is loser...looser is like when something is not so tight, but never did. Thank you for posting. bwuahahahaha this is a weight loss forum so we should know the difference between loser, looser, losing etc. I mean it is on the mind 24/7 and part of the daily vocabulary.

I also hate lunges but my trainer makes me do them every time I train legs...something about that's her formula. I also have a dominant leg. One of my ankles is less flexible than the other also which causes difficulty on one side going down. I think like every body else said practice, getting stronger and increasing flexibility will help. I know my lunges aren't perfect, but ten times better than when I started.

Wow. That is an extremely general statement. Just like christians, or buddhists, or jews aren't all_________ (fill in the blank) neither are atheists.
