First restaurant experience

Yeah Ihop charges 15.99...although I live in Hawaii so EVERYTHING is more expensive here. My husband hates eggs and I don't know if they will let me order from the kids menu. I was planning on ordering from the kids menu (because I was with my 2 yr. old) and just having her eat whatever daddy ate, but I really wanted an omelet...and so I asked. Yeah in the past I was always looking for the best deal that would get me the most food...haha. Now I'm trying to find the smallest portions. -

If not pounds, then inches will do....

Good for you! My scale also stalled for like two weeks and I'm only 3.5 weeks post op. I took my measurements last week for peace of mind. -
Pain when I lay down/get up from bed
LifetimeLoser replied to LG1981's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had the same kind of pain. When I would lay down sideways it was like a stretching feeling. It felt like extreme muscle pain. I wouldn't do any heavy lifting or anything like that...even light lifting for that matter. It did get better probably two weeks post op...I'm 3.5 weeks now. -
How long after surgery did you resume your birth control pills?
LifetimeLoser replied to erp's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I also got contradicting information. My surgeon told me 2 weeks post op I could resume my bc pills. My nurse told me not too. I am planning on taking them and listening to the surgeon. I had to stop taking them a month before I had surgery for the risk of blood clots so the time frame doesn't matter for me. I think he said it was okay since the pills are soo small. I am planning on asking the dr. at my 1 month post op appointment. -
Hi vsg friends... I hope you all can help me with this. A couple of days ago I lifted some cases of Water. Maybe an hour later I had some slight pain on my left side. I still have the right pain which is getting better. I'm just wondering if I need to be worrying about this. I'm almost a month post op and I was told by my dr. No heavy lifting for two weeks. The cases of water are only a little heavier than my two year old daughter. What exactly can happen if you lift something too heavy? Do you think I should be worried?

Did I do something wrong?
LifetimeLoser replied to LifetimeLoser's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It isn't pain at any of my incisions. It feels more like a muscle pain. I had the same pain after surgery and the nurse said it was probably the angle at which the instruments went in etc. And supposedly I have a thick abdominal wall (whatever that means). It is getting better everyday and I barely feel it today. Thank you everyone. I feel much better. -

Typical daily menu
LifetimeLoser replied to toya7876's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
almost a month post op. I always start my breakfast with a premier protein shake (one of my pre-op issues was skipping meals especially breakast). snack is usually some cheese. lunch is either chili, stew, or fish. dinner is the same as lunch. But myfitnesspal is awesome for viewing other people's diarys. I wish everyone set their settings to allow their friends to view their diarys because it is very helpful to look at those losing weight how many calories, protein, carbs and what they are eating. -
Difficulty consuming food/calories-suggestions? 2.5 months p/o
LifetimeLoser replied to partofme!'s topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Wow. funny. I've been kind of sort of wondering the same thing. I was sleeved 01/30/13. Some days I can eat 600 calories and some days (like yesterday) it takes me forever to drink a protein shake. Yesterday I barely got in 300 calories. I do notice that I can eat more on the days I exercise. I also read on here somewhere that drinking while eating (which I know we are not supposed to do) helps digest the food in our stomach faster so we can eat more. I haven't drank with my meals, but there have been times when I didn't leave 30 minutes before and after and I definitely noticed I could eat more. It is really weird. I just started on soft foods...so that might be the reason why I ate a whole lot less yesterday. I don't know if this is normal, but if it bothers you then definitely talk to your doctor. I have an appointment on March 4th and will bring this up. Keep me posted please! -
Chilli, what kind?

Chilli, what kind?
LifetimeLoser replied to staffieri's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I make my own too. I get the fantastic food brand...vegetarian chili (I am not a vegetarian, but used to be)...and I follow the directions...but I soften bell peppers, onions, zucchini, and squash in a frying pan with some evol. I then put everything in my crock put and let it sit for a couple of hours...delicious. -
So my pound loss hasn't been that speedy as I've mentioned in my other posts, but I still have much to be grateful for. My pants are much looser...which feels good. I have more energy, and I am able to do more cardio in a day. I've also noticed that my belly is finally smaller than my boobs!!! I haven't seen this happen in almost 3 years! Today I took my measurements in hopes of having a comparison for the future during my weight loss stalls. I am still excited about my new journey and I am still happy about my decision.

Oh no... Getting Sleeved while on my period
LifetimeLoser replied to Bree's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
That Sucks!!!! As for the pain from cramps...you will be nicely dosed with morphine (at least I was) and then you get liquid vicodin. As for the sanitary reasons...I wouldn't worry about that...I mean these people are supposed to be medical professionals I think they have seen it all...and something like menstruation is probably easily handled for them. But that still Sucks! I'm sorry it worked out that way. -
There are a lot of threads on here for pureed foods. Today is my last day on purees. I ate pureed beef stew, vegetarian chili, regular chili, chicken salad, cheese and broccoli soup, yogurt...and that was the extent of it. I never got more creative than that because I had soooo much leftovers from the stew and chili I made.

I am feeling better about things. I am thinking I might actually revise my one day a week weigh ins...to only stepping on the scale when I go to the doctor. I've been thinking about it and I have been doing everything I have been told. When it is a month from now and still no weight loss..then I will worry. I don't want to obsess over the scale...so I think I am just going to FREE myself from that which binds me...THE SCALE...and just focus on working out, and eating right. Joatsaint...yes it feels amazing...I can't wait until I have to pull out a smaller size...soon...soon.

Use Your First Six Months Wisely
LifetimeLoser replied to june13sleever's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Workout for four hours? And eat nothing??? That doesn't sound healthy to me. And it doesn't sound like a life style change...which what I'm in for.
