I am a 36 year old mother of two and I am married to the love of my life! I'm the red head in the pic. My beautiful daughter at my side. I have been heavy all of my life. This past two years really made me want to do something about my weight. I got to my highest weight of 310 pounds. I was having problems with my back. L1-L5 are buldging and 4/5 are pinching a nerve. It's been a rough two years. My chriopracter finally talked me into going to talk to someone about the weight loss surgery. I had been wanting to do it for awhile now but didn't think i'd ever be able to afford it. I had done my research and money was all that was holding me back. God worked it out though and I am very thankful for that.

In August, I put myself on a diet to get my head right. My first appointment was Aug. 9th. Insurance approval wasn't a problem and as for the money, like I said, God worked all that out! My surgery was scheduled on November 12, 2012. On my surgery day, I was down to 270. And as of November 28th, I am down to 250. I am very excited about this journey I am on. Sugery went well, although I am a big baby when it comes to pain. It was slow going at first, but day by day things keep getting better. Drinking water is not as challenging as it once was. Thank God! As for eating, I could really care less. But then I realized I put my body into starvation mode and really had to start eating. Yesterday was the first day I think I met my protein requirement. It wasn't easy but baby steps everyday! I can walk longer periods of time. There's a track where I work, so instead of eating on my lunch hour I go walk. It's nice!

I am looking forward to a brand new me!! I'm ready to be healthy and more energetic and a better me for my family. :)
