PCOS what's your weight loss status
Pink Butterfly replied to bbbslady's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hello! I feel your pain when I look at everyone else who had the same op date they are way ahead of me. I am at 5 weeks and 19 pounds down. My hubby says that I look smaller everyday. I try to take it one day at a time. I stopped weighing myself daily. Last week I lost 4.5 in a week the week before -2 and I also stalled for over a week. With Pcos we know it will take longer but actually low carb low sugar low cal is the perfect balance for us to loose weight! Good Luck! -

Pink Butterfly replied to deedeemuffin's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hello fear not your not alone. I was freaking out because I have been able to eat more then I thought I would. I have lost about 15 pounds but everyone else who has the same date has lost been 20-30 so I feel behind. Also I read that people can only eat 2 bites and I feel like really? What I am doing is measuring everything and going off what the doc/ dietican say I should eat. I then time myself 30 minutes and no matter what the portion dont finish it. I have only gotten really full once and it was just one bite that pushed me over. My nut says I am on the right track. I am also able to drink bigger sips then the begining. I do fear the what if...what if doesnt work? Did they really operate? Is everything okay? Right now my goal is to get the Protein and and fluids supose to have 80-90 grams of protein and around 10 glasses of fluids not there yet. My hubby does say I am shrinking though. I have PCOS and I am scared as it is always soooooo hard for me to lose weight. I did find I am craving Snacks like crazy what the hell! Dont buy it ....for now I guess I have to take it day by day! Hang in there so hard not to compare to others Just know your not alone! -

Good Luck! I was on the fast track too went to my first dr appointment in Sept and the procedure done in Nov. It moves very fast. -
Hello You all seem to be doing good. I hope the person in chicago is doing better. I worry already is it working for me. I am down 15 pounds but almost everyone else seems over 20-30 is the average. I know I have PCOS so I am always slow to lose weight but..was hoping to be at least 20. I had my first stall at week 2. I lost 9 pounds on the 2 day liguid diet so I wonder is that making me stall. This week I lost only 2 pounds. 21 pounds?? 32 pounds!! That is awesome! I can eat about 4 oz too I am suprised when people say they can only eat 2 tablespoons. What ever I eat I measure out though and then I always leave a bite or two I want to get out of the clean my plate club. Now I have the Protein shakes, eggs, or egg beaters, cheese, yougurt and cottage cheese. Egg beaters are my standby though and I use Heinz reduced sugar ketchup only one carb. I eat between 60 and 70 grams of protein and around 500 calories. My husband said I am shrinking everyday I look smaller but....why arent the pounds falling off?? Hope everyone is well! Hang in there!

It ia normal to be nervous. The few weeks leading up to everything I was scared to death. The day before and day of I almost backed out I was overcome by emotion. I cried about everything when I saw people eatting, when I woke up when I ate I felt like I was saying goodbye to old friends ~ My sister prayed for me and that honestly got me through. I am three weeks post op and still emotional it is a life change and that is hard for anyone! Goodluck!
-
Hello I was sleeved on Nov 15th too in San Fransico. I live on Maui though. How are you doing? I am doing pretty good back to work tomorrow.
-
Good Luck I was also very emotional before the day it is normal. Have my first doctor post op today.
-
Well I am almost at 3 weeks. Everyday I feel new emotions. I worry will this really work? Everyone I read about has no desire to eat I still think about food all the time. I also read that most people can only eat a bite or two I seem to be able to eat more. I ate a whole egg no problem. I actually have not had any problems and am very thankful. I am already on my first stall I feel like seriously? Already!! I know I lose weight slower then other people I am only 11 pounds down post op feel like I should be more. Thinking I will go back to work on Thursday not sure if I am ready but...gotta go back sometime. Have been feeling a little down. Wish there was a group near me or I had a freind who I was going through this with. I am obessed about my new sleeve but who really wants to hear about it all the time? I guess I just have to take it day by day~ If anyone wants a weightloss cyber buddy let me know

Hello it is normal to be nervous I was very nervous too. My doctor had me on clear fluids sugar free (broths, crystal light, water, protein with water) no juice and no milk. Also sugar free jello was okay. No Milk products they told me basically you should be able to see through the drink and was told to avoid anythng red. Good luck!

Dying to drink I too have a bottle of sojo and sake waiting to be drunk but...I say just say no for now. Not worth the risks there is always another day! Goodluck!

Pink Butterfly replied to mrchris's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was super freaked out too. If it was not for the phone call to my sister I would have walked out. The only pain I had also was my back. The minute I woke up I wanted to stand up to ease the pain. Getting better now Good luck! -
Questions, Questions, So Many Questions
Pink Butterfly replied to dlinnh's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hello I am begining to worry is everything ok. I am suppose to take 70 grams of protein and now it is up to 90. I have been forcing myself to drink the fluids as I am scared to go back in the hospital. My weightloss does not seem as good as everyone else. I am 20 down but if I do it by the operation day I am only 11 pounds down in two weeks. Is that slow? I have not cheated. I want to make sure I take advanatage of this period. Today I started on soft foods only ate a litte but could have ate more. everyone seems that they dont want food but I feel hungry or maybe it is just my head not sure. Anyway taking it day by day. -
Great post very encourgaging!
