    All of my December sleevers...

My starting weight was 381.6 and that was Sept. 25, 2012. Day of surgery was 367.6 as of this morning 328.2. I am full liquids. I had 1 week clear and 4 week full liquids, I don't have to really count my calories but I do anyway because I am now in the habit of doing so. I am averaging around 200-300 a day. I do struggle with the protein though, they all make me sick. I drink a lot of water, I like the Activate water that has the vitamins at the top, you twist and it goes into the water and you just shake it up. I walk at least 30 mins a day sometimes more if I am in a store just to get in more walking. Thank you, you will just increase your water and protein if you can, walking helps a lot too.

    Period During Sugery

LOL, I hated those panties for the C-sections. Nothing but mess. I refuse to think about that and add to my already fragile nerves, LoL
  5. I know exactly how you feel about that ERR message. I wanted to pick up the scale and throw it. I was so happy when I could get on my home scale and get a number. Congrats.

    Period During Sugery

I had this fear about being on my period during surgery. I just did not want to deal with that on top of everything else. I kept hoping that I would start last week but no such luck, I started yesterday and will more than likely be on it Mon. when I go in. I did talk to the nurse about it and she told me that give you panties and pads, just let them know when I get there. She said it is no big deal it happens all the time. Good luck either way you got this.
  7. Yay, so glad you are going home and are doing well.
  8. Today was my last consult with my Anesthesiologists before my surgery on Monday. He really scared the mess out of me. I was wondering is if anyone that has had the sleeve done if you were awake for the breathing tube being put in? My Anesthesiologists told me I would be awake for the placement of the breathing tube. I am really scared of this. Any insight or thoughts would be really appreciated.
  9. @SerendipityHappens that is exactly what they told me. I probably over reacted but his attitude about it was not very comforting to me at all. @fireball10 and @LadyK thank you I really appreciate the extra prayers.
  10. @firebelle10 he said that they would give me something for my nerves and the pain first, then numb my nose and throat so that even though I am awake I won't really care about what is going on.
  11. Congrats and very glad you are doing good.
  12. @BKMama thank you. It freaked me out pretty bad. It is definitely nice to know I am not alone in this. Again thank you.
  13. Good luck and remember food is not your best friend it is what got you where you are, but once the surgery is over you can have a healthy relationship with it.

    375 Lbs Pre - Op

I have not been sleeved as of yet, my sleeve date is Dec. 10. But I can agree with you about the shaking in my boots. The closer it gets the more nervous I am getting. At first I was really calm and was more consumed with excitement now, it is really starting to sink in. I too am looking too loose about the same amount as you. Good luck.

    4 Hours Post Op

    Congrats
  16. Rootman, My husband said basically the same thing that the Dr. did not have the best of bedside manners. He must have realized it that after the fact because he called my Surgeon who called me and tried to calm me down. When I left pre-op I had pretty much freaked out to the point I was not doing the surgery. But I am calmer now and I know that I have come so far to let this scare me so bad not to follow through.
  17. SerndipityHappens, thank you. I will look at the link.
  18. Dark Ranger, Thank you, thank you, thank you so much. That is actually very comforting. Until today I never heard of anyone being awake for it, and I am trying to keep myseld calm and not think about it too much.
  19. As much as I am freaking out now, I can not imagine how I will feel Monday. And I highly doubt they could give me enough to calm me down.
  20. Just talked to my surgeon and he said that at times the do keep you awak. He said they will give me something for my nerves and pain and then numb my nose and throat and as soon as the tube is in place put me right to sleep. He said the most uncomfortable part for me will only last 1 or 2 minutes and the whole process is like 4 mins long. Still freaking out though.
  21. My surgery is on the 10th and I am starting to feel my emotions going all over the place. The thing that keeps me calm the most is knowing that I am doing something for a healthier and longer life. It gets hard at times, but when I feel like crying I just let it out, that seems to make feel better even if for a little while. My hardest issue was starting the liquid diet. It is not as bad now as it was at first but it still is not the easiest thing in the world. If it were I do not think most of us would be going through the WLS in the first place right? Great news though you are not alone. Good luck.
