    Good Morning Gang Phyl - Hope Jim went to the ER... Keep us posted - Sounds like and exciting day - I doubt I would have gone on the wrong ramp ;0) I see pple do it all the time in traffic jams - that and driving down the shoulder - I don't want the ticket ;0). Karla - LOL getting lost .. Too funny girl - You make me feel like a big city girl - well I guess compared to you I am - I don't mind city driving or freeway driving - I hate traffic jams though - I knew a girl who wouldn't drive on the freeway - I thought to myself - omg how limited she is in where she can go - Not me - I rather drive from here to NY than drive in City traffic - I hate stop and go.. Hugs on scattering your Dad's ashes - it will be good but sad at the same time - it's all a part of the healing process.. Ya Zumba isn't my cup of tea - I don't like not knowing the steps - Guess we are going to give it another try next friday - cuz gf dh is out of town - once he's back - that's their happy hour time.. So she won't want to go or should I say can't.. Did work up a good sweat but doubt I burned 600 calories since I didn't do it correctly. Next time going to get in the back of the class - instead of the middle - I couldn't see the instructor anyway and when she was walking/dancing around she never came and helped.. Going to Plios tomorrow - I enjoyed that class alot - It's a great Sunday morning workout.. You work out and sweat like a pig without all the jumping around... I think you would like it..

    Well Karla - don't know if zumba is for me - the class was great if you know the steps (I have taken ballet - tap - jazz - line dancing - so I know kick ball change - grape vine etc) - The teacher was a cute little thing.. Her zumba combination of mexican dancing and hip hop ;0) and I'm better at the hip hop moves than the mexican dancing moves - but most of the class knew her steps and then she did try a new workout that no one had done - well she really didn't tell you want to do - her zumba is really like a dance class - where the zumba at my other gym was more exercise.. I am not super quick on my feet - do better free style dancing and that's after a couple of drinks lol I got a workout (worked up a good sweat) - but wasn't the greatest for my knees - I will give it another try next friday w/diane - but don't know if it's going to be a keeper... I would love to go to a beginners class - where they slowly teach you the steps.. Plus - I like the Sunday morning Plios class - and then Monday Weights - Tues Bootcamp - Wed weights - 4 days is enough.. But the jury is out we will see - I didn't have fun - cuz I didn't know what to do.. I did exercise so that was good..

    Candice I really can't believe this new you !!! Another Exercise day!!! Ya it's going to take some time to get use to the steps - I'm going to zumba tonite - so I am going to look out of sync w/the rest of the group - but what the hell who gives a rats ass.. I think I'm going to have fun LOL on not telling Peter about the $$$ my GF Candy does the same thing ;0) - It's her slush fund. We have a little more crime than you guys - but that had to be scary.. Well just sitting here w/a cup of coffee - it's 111 outside - but I gotta say this heat isn't bothering me at all - I guess it's the weight loss.. Waiting for Diane to come so we can go to class.. I'll tell you all about it when I get back... Karla - enjoying your deck.. Phyl - playing chauffer to Zoey :0) Steph - Safe Travels Denise - How you doing girl - hope bonnie misses you.     EXCELLENT JOB JULIE !!!!! Love your new kitchen and pictures... Love seeing others homes - it's easier to imagine where you are at when on the computer That's what we should all do is take pic's of our desk/office/computer rooms - then we have a good visual :0) Laura - Hope you are feeling better.. back to work ...
  6. I am sort of a rebel - I wanted to provide those statistics wrong - I lost 100% of my excess weight w/the band I think those statistic really go to our mental stick to itness as obese pple.. It's just like druggies going thru rehab - what's the success rate - It's the addiction issue that we are battleing here.. Just like w/any addiction a person needs the tools to get and stay sober - a good support system (NA/AA/LBT) the desire to be sober (eat healthy and exercise). It's work - just like any addiction - you have to work every single day to stay clean. If you fall off the wagon - you pull up the bootstraps and get right back on.. IMHO it's up to the individual on how much they lose - The sky's the limit - you are only limited by your own mind - if you think you can't you won't - if you think you can you will

    Good Morning Gang.... Laurak - Sounds like a fun weekend - I love being on the water - that's one thing I miss about being w/xdh - going to the river (colorado) w/the boat in the summer time ;0). Great - I have heard river walk is really neat - never been there maybe it's a place to plan a future get together. Well not much to report - HAPPY it's Friday !!!

    Good Morning Peeps Steph Safe Travels - yep counseling is hard - cuz we have to make changes - but it's doable .. Phyl - Andrew was able to down load his crackberry to the new phone - mine wouldn't but his did - This phone is really cool - but the thing is you when you are home you gotta put your cell by the base for it to bluetooth w/the house phone - I usually just leave mine in my purse - cuz I'm not as connected as some of you ;0)

    Charlene - I haven't watched the news in ages - I am on the computer too much ;0) - I sure hope it misses you You can't blame the cake one on me LOL - I didn't throw that cake away - Karri & Steph are the ones who wanted to throw it away - Steph asked Karri and she said ya she had enough.. I did say I was done with it (it was almost to rich for me and that's saying alot) - but it wasn't me who threw it away Steph & Rose where cleaning the kitchen - I learned my lesson after the cookies at work ;0) Ya we had some pretty upset pple when that happen.. But for once it was not me - I'm not the food cop on Vacation unless you tell me you are trying to eat healthy and you are doing the oppisite - then I might say something - I had my treats - but did my best to eat pretty healthy too.. Glad you are home safe and sound - that week sure went by fast Julie - Glad you got to talk to someone.. Went to Costco after work - got my right eye changed and he changed my left eye too - I can read the computer right now w/o any glasses - but to read close up small print need 125 readers Got a pair of computer glasses $139 frames and all - the lady said I should be able to read menu with them - we will see.. No gym tonite - thank God - I have been Sun Mon Tue Wed and go tomorrow nite... I think I am an offical gym rat .. Oh got new house phones from Costco - you can sync your cell phones to them (2) and use them (house phone) like a blue-tooth for your cell phone - and you are suppose to be able to download your contacts from your cell into the house phone - only $79 + tax - you get a base/answering machine and 3 handsets... They are charging right now - so gotta wait for another hr or so and see if it works (the cell thru the house phone and downloading contacts) How cool will that be..

    Candice WTG on the exercise - I AM SO PROUD OF YOU !!!! Yep the Elvis Fest - I wear my Tshirt to the gym ;0) How cool on entering the puppy in a dog contest - 1st Place.. Phyl - LOL - I knew Earl was already preparing the MH lol - tell him you only need 3 purse (so you can buy more - but don't tell him that lol) No problem on the Choc - how many calories are in it?? I got some white choc liquid stuff - not sf - 35 cal a serving - but yuk not as good as the powder stuff - Mail the ck when you can - no problem there either.. I can't wait to see Zoey and Bella playing - they are going to have so much fun.. I need to start leash training her - but tonite when I brought out the leash - Bear went CRAZY - he sees the leash and thinks he's going bye bye and he LOVES to go bye bye Bear was my runner - he isn't anymore - but as a pup he was.. Angel never has been - we will see w/Bella - Might sign her up for puppy school..     Gwen I spend a lot of time on the computer now a days as I can't eat and type at the same time. We vent here too.. I have a few major issues (bro's death - DIL being stabbed) since I was banded - didn't turn to food - but you want to know why - there is no junk foods in my house that i can binge on - #1 clean your house of all junk foods - You get upset - go for a walk - clean out a drawer - get on lbt and vent away - find a distraction - it does work - I noticed that there is no July 2010 thread ... What a shame - We (Lucky #7) have one and OMG in the beginning we had 15 pages a day - now we have 3 original member who post daily - 3 adopted ones and 2 original part timers.. I also noticed the June 2010 Thread doesn't have a lot of activity.. That and the 50+ thread - were very active back in the day.. No so much anymore Well I lied a little above - my bro died 10/18/08 - a few days after halloween - I dove into the mini candy bars that were left (they were hidden in GS room- but since I put them there I knew where to find them) - I had about 10 i would guess if that much - I deserved it and there was another time - don't remember what happen - but I went and bought 2 pints of Ice cream - ate 1 - threw the other one away.. You know what for the most part - the crap doesn't taste as good as it use to.. Like I said - for me out of sight out of mind for me (well for the most part) so if we do have something in the house for GS grandson - it goes in his room - so I won't eat it - My trainer taught me this - I kept saying I have no control - if there are cookies in the house I would eat them till they were gone - he said Janet - are there cookies in your house - I said no - he said why not - cuz I choose not to buy them - he said see there - you do have control - when you are at the store you make the choice not to buy them.. When I have bought something like those 100 cal snack thingies and I find myself eating them all up in one sitting - I throw the damn things away Just ask the girls - I throw crap away all the time - Hell I threw away office cookies in the lunck room here at the office. You don't know this about me - but my other name beside gym rat - is FOOD COP !~!!!

    Great - We love having you around.. Hate it when pple are gone - especially our talkitive ones :0) I to HATED exercise - but I have come to the understanding that I have to do it to be healthy just cuz you are thin doesn't mean you are healthy - you could be thin and eat junk all day and not exercise - that's no better than being morbity obese.. Ya humidity sucks !!! The year before surgery I was in Maztland (sp) in June - 240 at the time - and 100% humidity 80 degree weather - I died.. Julie - I think your doc may just have given up on trying to find out what's wrong with you and maybe thats why she quit you ... Hopefully you will find another doctor.. Well back to work..

    Gwendolyn No girl don't feel sorry for you - I was just like you (minus the knee replacements) But now I am a bit of a gym rat - hell this week alone - I will have gone to the gym 5 times.. (this is not my norm - but am into classes - my newest transfer addiction) I firmly beleived that eating healthy and exercise is what got me to goal - yep I would have lost weight by just eating healhty - getting to goal - i doubt it.. You really will feel so proud of yourself for making that 1st step... I promise and it does get easier ;0)

    Gwen - I don't think it's (not sleeping) a side effect of the band - but our age and hormone issues - Or maybe since we aren't self medicating w/food (that was my sleeping pill prior to banding - I would eat myself to sleep) it's why we don't sleep as well.. I don't sleep half as much as I use to - I use to sleep my weekends away - I am lucky now if I can get good nap on the weekends - I usually now adays nap for about 45 minutes - use to be I would get up - and within a couple of hours would be asleep again and would sleep (on and off in between eating ;0) till about 6 or 7 - then still go to bed at 11.. As the saying goes - as we get older the less sleep we need.. well I'm at work - better get to it It's going to be quite w/o Apples & Great :0) - so peeps junk up the thread just for them Jessica - where have you run off too.     Good morning gang Not much to report since last night - Watched Big Brother - this year sorta dumb players - had dinner - taco (minus the tortilla) hamburger meat - salsa - onion - avocado and a little cheese. Dessert - greek yogurt (vanilla) mixed w/a little lite cream cheese and splenda (vanilla flavor) - Went to bed early but couldn't sleep was up till about 1.. No gym tonite - getting contacts rechecked.. Phyl - You can't get your water/fluids cuz you are too busy or no room.. Zoey is sure keeping your busy... Hope the back is ok.. When to you leave for NY??

    I have you all beat - I am the biggest baby here lol - just ask any of the girls who went to FL and ask my Lucky #7's - Hell last yr - the shuttle picked me up at 4 in the morning - I didn't wake anyone up - I HATE HATE HATE saying good by.. They are 400 miles away - but we see each other every 3-4 months and after a couple of days - well - he is my son - he want's to get back to his own routine :0)..     Charlene - WTG ON YOUR 3 LBS !!!!!! Why aren't you strong enough - it's a dance class - and you can modify what you can't do - it's a nice change of pace - go watch one day :0) Oh can you tell I'm really into this class thing - it's a fun new experience - I am getting a kick out of them - So now I will think you all should be doing them - you know me - ;0) But truly - we are diff pple than we use to be... Gwen here the menu - it's for when you get on real food what phase are you on - day 7 still on full liquids - cream of bean soup - make a pot of beans (any kind you like and season them as you like) when done - scoop the cooked beans out (save liquid broth) - put beans & meat in blender or food processor - add some of the bean broth and puree - then add that mixture back into the broth - you have cream of bean soup - I think it saved Great in her liquid stage :0) Here' the menu

    3rd Year Band-Annivesary Today 7/17

    Liz - WTG !!!! LBT has been my support system from day 1 - I'm here almost everyday ;o) - It's the accountablity factor and also being a mentor I feel that I have to practice what I preach - so it helps me & you :0) - Keep up the good work msdv - I was a newbie once too - I had great ladies who helped me in the beginning - I use to post to the newbies all the time - not as much anymore - but I am here for anyone who wants help - I am a tough love bander (operative word is love) and there are a few who don't want to hear what I say - So if any of you don't have a home thread - come to the I'm here to help thread (Mentor) - Glad to have you.. You can do this - like I say all the time I am no diff than anyone else - I don't have magical powers - I was just sick and tired of being of being morbitly obese - I don't want to die an early death because of it.. Congrats on your Date - Prayers for a safe surgery and speedy recovery.. Good Luck on your journey....
