    Back from the Dentist - was using my teeth as a tool a couple of weeks ago - chipped it - side - had it fixed no biggie compared to Apples - but I did get a shot ;0) no gas as it was minor - but root canal - or caps - I get gas...     Candice - Warning Tough Band Love here WTF are you doing to yourself !!!! What is going on in your head !!! What are you eating !!! Why are you eating !!! What are you missing in your life that you are turning to food for comfort !!! Come on now - You gotta get control of this.... Today not tomorrow not Monday - TODAY !!! Skip the pasta & the cheese in that casserole !!! Detox your body of sugar and starches!!! When you go to coffee - no treats !!! You gotta get back into a healthy life style !!!! You spend $$$ for botox - what about your heart !!! What about your health !!! You think fixing the face is going to take away the look of the extra lbs.. Nope GF - I too use to spend all the time in the world on my face and hair - thinking that would take away from my fat body - all I was was a pretty fat girl.. Hate to be so tough on you - but I love you and I want you to feel successful - I want you to beat this demon (food addiction) you can do it - Do you have any idea why you are sabbotaging yourself - If you don't want to share that part then don't - but I want you to think about it - really study on it - why are you fighting yourself... gotta go to the dentist...     Good Morning Peeps... Great - Hugs & Prayers on both kids !!! Naive ;0) I have a gf like that - my boss went to africa - no electricity she asked - how is the toilet going to flush - I looked at her and said - where is your toilet plugged in at ... I still get her w/that one from time to time Julie - Busy - not half as much as you are - I just go to the gym and sit my butt infront of the computer ;0).. Andrew was gone last night babysitting is bros and sis for his mom - took Bella w/him - it was nice not having to babysit the Bella - love the little thing but nice not to have a baby in the house who still is being house broken.. Jodi - I still am going to put a choke collar on you - I know what good intentions are but I know that the heart can over rule the mind.. Which isn't good (been there done that) plus you are meeting us - so won't have too much time for him.. Laura - How's the eating & exercising - see on FB you are going for a walk today !!! Bella is gone tonite - Andrew had to babysit his bros & sis at his mom's house over night - so it's just me and angel & bear - sorta nice not to have to watch bella 24/7 as she's still being potty trained.. Candice - didn't know you were going back to work - thought you said no after all - guess you didn't.. Hope the headache is gone.. Well had boot camp tonite - it's a great work out I hate/love it - tomorrow weights and yoga.. dinner soup (from last night ) I am headed to the couch ...

Eva - Ya I know I see those bills when one of my insured cuts a phone line ;0) Charlene - Doing good girl - I'm no doctor but imho you can't live on Protein and veggies alone - you gotta have some starch - not alot but some - I'm having my chicken Soup - was going to have a chick taco - but decided to pass on the tortilla and cheese - this way I can have popcorn and a lite ice cream.. Great - our world traveler ;0) how fun !!! You are a lucky chick not to know about 12 steps!!! OA AA NA Shopping Gambling sex - follow the 12 steps - and I know pple in most of those categories - Linda Glad you are back - saw the pics on fb - you resemble your sister.. Well back from boot camp - tomorrow weight & yoga - Thursday rest and Friday Zumba again.. Cheri - I got a spider one on one of my legs too

    Congrats on your 100+ lbs.. Tips/Suggestions #1 how's your restriction?? Go back to the beginning Do the 5 day pouch test (google it) Keep a food Diary - Keep calories between 800-1200 and vary them daily (weigh & measure food to make sure of your portions) Exercise 4-5 days a week - Cardio & Weights - you need to work w/some weights if you aren't already as the more muscles you have the more calories you burn just breathing :0) your resting metabolisam is higher if your body has more muscles.. Eat healthy foods that you like - if you are hungry eat some extra veggies.. Remember this isn't a diet but a lifestyle change I know some pple who's bf is their most important meal - they have a big one - where as I eat lite for bf & lunch - as dinner is my main meal .. You can do this - you got the 100+ off - so you can get the other 25 off - it might not come off as fast - but you can get them off.. Hugs Janet

    Thanks Dee... I'm not a big drinker - Yes I drink - but really only when I go out to a concert or party (sometime way too much ;0) Good for you to quit drinking on a daily bases - those are empty calories - I rather eat my calorie instead of drink them :0).. My doc say a drink is fine it's not against the rules - you just have to budget for them.. I'm still a night eater - but what I have done is budget my calories to compensate for it - I am allow 3 meals and 2 Snacks - I would eat lite for bf & lunch and no snacks in between - I saved them for evenings - during the day at work I can ignore my hunger - but at nite and at home forget about it - so I always kept about 300 cal for evening snacks - healthy choice sf fudgesicles - sf choc puddings - dannon lite & fit yogurts & 100 cal snack pack popcorn You have the right mindset - I think this will help you to be successful on your journey.. Suggestion - take hope & try out of your vocabulary - replaced it with I WILL !!!! Posititive Affirmations really do work !!! Hugs Janet

    Good Evening Gang It is quite isn't it - with Apples & Great not here ;0)... Gwen - Like Laura said you have just had major surgery - Blood pressure always goes up when you see the doc ;0) it's all that waiting.. Just get your water in and protein - give it some time - each day will get better.. Laura - OK girl - I am going to be cop on you ;0) - Gym at least 3 days a week - OK !!!! Glad Nelson is eating - lol - my DS & GS don't eat fruit and they still poop lol.... You are too funny - you are lucky he likes fruit and veggies - Brooke & Kaitlin do - but the boys don't.. Well didn't make yoga - had weights w/Idrise tonite - came home played with the dogs (Laura we got a replacement puppy - a yorkie - I think you knew that - look on fb - I have pics) boiled a chick for chicken tacos for andrew and didn't know what I was going to eat with it - but the broth looked so good I make soup - threw in some carrots - onion - squash - onion - couple brussel sprouts since I didn't have cabbage and my home make salsa - it's waiting for me as I type - Answered a newbies post - feed the dogs - and it's almost 9...     3rd Year Band-Annivesary Today 7/17

    Jessica I posted this morning - but I don't know what happen to it.. Well, just cuz you can - doesn't mean that you should. Heck if you can drink a pt shake - you can drink a regular milk shake.. You ate real food 5 days out - what were your doc's instructions - the reason you aren't suppose to eat is that your stomach is healing (you band is stitched to your stomach) you have to let it heal - you don't want problems down the road.. #1 if you want your band to work you gotta follow the rules You will always be able to eat around your band - it's only a tool and yours isn't most likely filled now.. If I remember right I still had swelling/restriction at 5 days out - I was full on 1/2 cup of Soup.. No I didn't see a counselor - My doc's office has a nutritionist that you see every visit to go over your food that you ate the day before and your exercise - But can't say that I needed that - from all my years of dieting I could be one my self (nutritionist) I knew what to do but I didn't apply it to my life.. For me having major surgery was a big deal - that I went to the extreme of having an operation to help me loose weight.. So I made up my mind to follow the rules - they band our stomachs and not our heads and the real problems with food lies in our heads and not in our tummies.. Just cuz you have a band doesn't mean you are going to lose weight Its only a piece of plastic - you are the one who makes the food choices - The band just makes you feel fuller on a smaller amount of hard Protein - you will be physically full - but your heads going to tell you that you are still hungry - I still battle head hunger issues.. The secret imho is that you don't diet - you just start eating healthy - I think for most of us - it's not just that our portions of food is way too much - it's the foods we eat. I ate very high fat and high sugar and lots of starches - very little veggies - fruit - etc. I can't say I ate tons of food (yes I over ate but like at a buffet I couldn't eat 3 plates of food at one sitting)- it was the combination of types of food I ate eating too much and I did no exercise.. Now I eat healthy - lower fat (I still include a healthy amount in my diet) limited starches (I still have some but it's after my protein & veggie) mostly sugar free (but again I still have a piece of cake etc occasional) You gotta plan - sit down and make a menu for the week - You can take almost anything you ate prior to banding and teak it to be healthier - I use to eat fried fish - now I bake it This is a journey Jessica and you may not get it the 1st week - it takes alot of soul searching - really paying attention to why you want to eat - is it head hunger or real hunger (as fat chicks we really don't know what real hunger is) and you know what - it's ok to be hungry - it's normal to be hungry right before your next meal - and a little hunger isn't going to kill you - the fat will.. If you need to see a counselor - go for it - some pple do - there is nothing wrong with that - talk to your doc too. Your band isn't really helping you yet w/portion control and it make take a while to get to your sweet spot - but being at your sweet spot isn't going to make you lose the weight - You are the one who's responsible for that by your choices..     Candice I was just about to ask about your food since you didn't mention it - figured it was great.. WTG on the gym.. I have weight training tonite at 5 (arms) there is a yoga class at 7:30 I may be going to - I really like the teacher and yoga - I am pretty flexable for an old broad.. Hell I'm more flexable than Vickie my 30 yr old work out partner.. I just hate the late hour - I won't get home till 8:30 - but I enjoy it and love the teacher - so we will see..

    Eva - I forgot to mention MIL 40 yrs !!!! WTG - yep lbt is our AA ;0) - I totally agree... Cheri - you are right that we eat about the same - For me fruit isn't a trigger - I ate about 1 cup of cherries (10 or 15 didn't count) & 3 sticks of jerky - and I'm full. Trigger for me is REAL SUGAR - candy cakes cookies and greasy foods - OMG I love bbq steak fat - I love a taco driping in grease - I love cooking my refried beans in lard then adding ton's of cheese - these are the things I don't do now a days.. I use to go thru a tub of butter in a week - now it last a month - Yep - I may have a day or 2 of more starches than usual then cut back on them for the rest of the week.. It's all about what works for you - each of us is diff in our metabolizams - some faster than others - some have physical limitations -- etc.. We are all working it.. We are all learning and helping each other every day.. We have made lifetime freindships !!!

So I'll leave it there.. I could use another day of rest - well didn't get any this weekend anyway - oh Saturday had 1/2 hr nap but that was it..

    Good Morning Gang... Gwen - This is my take on counting calories - measuring food - keeping a food diary - I am 100% for it!! - Why you ask I thought I wasn't suppose to be dieting... You aren't - these are learning tools - As fat chicks - we never read a label - we think a serving size is a pint of ice cream not 1/2 cup - ck out the serving size of your foods - it's usually a 1/2 cup for veggies - potatoes etc and 4 ozs for meat - For us a dinner out was the blooming onion - salad - loaded baked potato - 16 oz steak - hell just the calories in the blooming onion were enough calories for the day.. Yes the band will restrict your portions once you get restriction - but till then you need to be aware how much you are eating - but can you eye ball 4 oz of meat/fish - can you eye ball 1/4 c or 1/2 c - I weighted and measured my food for the first 3-4 months - now I can eye ball most servings and if I'm unsure I pull out my scale.. I also believing in learning the calories in the foods we eat - this is knowledge - if we are going to get healthy we need to know what we are eating the # of calories in it... Again knowledge is power - a Reese pb cup has 230 cal in it and no nutritional values - 4 oz of cat fish has 152 cal -28 grms pt (rule of thumb 7 grms pt per ounce of meat) add 1/2 spinach 30 cal - you got 182 cal and a meal with nutritional weight. If you are to lose weight it's all about calories in vs calories burned - if you don't know the # of calories you are consuming how are you going to keep them between 800-1200 to lose the weight - Like Charlene had her metabolism tested 1300 resting - that's how many calories she can eat a day to maintain her current weight - so she has to know the # of calories she consumes so that she can keep them around 800-900 plus her exercise in order to lose weight So yes GF you gotta count calories - you gotta exercise - sorry but no magic here LOL - you gotta do the work :0) and its work !!! You have to learn what a portion size is - you gotta learn calories 100 cal in a tbps butter - 100 cal snack pack of cookies - which would fill you up more :0) - which would you skip ?? and to burn the calories you gotta exercise Eva - Puppy is cute love her - hate the potty training - Andrew's good at it - So I am lucky there - started to take video of her yesterday - but got to busy getting beautiful - Plios in the morning - Nail & Toe - Shopping (weekly) then came home and covered the white.. Joyce - WTG - I think I may take up yoga - I love that part of the plios class - it's 7:30 on Monday and Wed - both are already my exercise nights (weight) and 7:30 is late - but wth - at 7:30 p.m. my butt is on the computer - better to stretch and get centered w/my body ... I may just try it tonight. Cheri: - I don't count carbs in fruit or veggies - I'm not sitting down eating 2 lbs of cherries - I think of fruit and veggies as healthy foods (again you can over do healthy foods) What I consider carbs are starches - That's what I eat limited quantities of For breakfast - I'm having bing cherries & Jerky - Lunch steak and hummus chips and some salsa (homemade) - dinner will be chicken and veggies - snacks tonite - vanilla greek yogurt & ff cream - splenda & a little vanilla flavoring and maybe some popcorn.. Well need to get my butt in gear - so cbl

    Good Morning Gang.. Candice I would NEVER NEVER just let anyone cut my hair and especially those $20 hair cut places.... There might be great pple there - but those pple are usually right out of beauty school and don't have a clientell yet My hair grows so fast I get a hair cut every 4 weeks and really should color it every 3 weeks. Nails I get done every 3 weeks - sometimes 4 and I change my polish in between.. Well, gotta hit the showers.. CBL

Hope all is well w/the fridge - You aren't the only one home on a Saturday nite :smile2: Gwen - It takes awhile to learn who's who - you will get it I'm IndioGirl but everyone calls me Janet - I don't mind using my real name never have - everyone I know knows I'm banded Some others didn't want to at first since anyone can read this stuff we post here - Apples/Karen - Great/Lori - Charlene/Arlene - JBFlorida/Judy - MsBubba/Julie - Peacorp/Laura - Laurak/Laura (that's why we always say LauraK since we have 2) - NYSparkle/Jodi - Phyllser/Phyl - Ifyourstomach/Cheri - Jodi - The phones worked fine - but I couldn't down load my contacts - but I have some samsung phone - Andrew has a blackberry and his did download to house phone - but he deleted it cuz he's a teenager and doesn't want me to have all his # for some reason - that's ok I can go look at the cell phone bill to see who he calls if need be ;0) He's 19 deserves his privacy - the bluetooth part works well in the house - DS called last night on Andrew's cell - it was like 10:30 - and since I was up I talked to him - it was great - cuz in our house our cell reception sucks - LOL on stuck - yep you most likely ate to fast and didn't chew.. Girl - I am concerned about you and Mr. Vegas - you were so against seeing him - now you are going to - Do you want to show off the weight loss and say look at me now - look at what you missed out on.. That's cool as long as that's all it is - be careful - I am going to have a chock collar on you ;0) Cheri - I agree w/you on Julie's recap - Didn't she do good.. Hell I went to bed at 1 still up at 5:30 - 6 - Fur Babies.. Laura - Glad Nelsons tooth is out - girl you crack me up on worrying so about when Nelson doesn't eat.. I guess it's cuz I'm a grandma and I know that they will eat when they are read to - kids for the most part aren't like us ;0) we make sure we never miss a meal or a snack. Now he's missing the tooth - he's still not going to eat somethings - don't worry so ;0) grandma to mom ;0) Charlena - No bad foods for the most part as long as we eat in moderation ;0) - Even low cal foods that we over eat (like white choc pudding - I love it I eat all 4 serving 70 x 4) aren't good - so I'm like you if it's too good and I can't stop myself - out it goes - I just throw the crap away ... WTG on cleaning out the closet - get rid of those bigger clothes so that you can't slide back into them.. That what I did - I do have a couple pairs of pants that are size 4 but big 4's - I don't even like having them around - to easy to not notice the weight gain - espeicallly now it's hot - I have summer shifts that are loose - I love them now cuz they are cool - but worry I won't notice a weight gain - I don't step on the scales every week - now a days about every 2 weeks.. Phyl - I had those printer issues last weekend (got new printer) I just called HP and they fixed it remotely - Hope you had a great time at the Festival.. Well Gang ...     Hello again gang - Phyl - Happy Bday to Jodi - Ya if you have a good day the festival sounds like more fun.. I heard 80 degrees your way !!! 112 Here today I have been up since before 5 - haven't done much - Have a driver error but since my computer is old (5 or 6) i go to the website but can't find fix for Creator 6.. They have creator 10 now a days and I don't think I need it for $50 - but I don't think I can burn cd cuz of this error Did unload the dish washer - 2 loads of wash - took the fridge apart and cleaned it.. (I hate that job) need to go buy some food but don't feel like getting dressed Oh ya cut the dead heads off my roses - cut something else oh ya my fern & daisies.. That's my tweet update for now..
