    Hey Gang... Welcome Home Karen !!! Yes we need you junking up the thread - glad you had a nice weekend - Wrist so so?? Corn I can eat off the cob - but on the cob I get stuck for some reason - most likely eating too fast and not chewing.. Hugs on your pb - I haven't ever done it somewhere where I couldn't go to a bathroom.. Julie - I'm not a Pasta salad girl - I like my pasta hot w/butter or alfredo sauce ;0) - So you all know I don't eat that way very often - but your bars & sweets - really really really sound good.. I agree w/Cheri - before when you talked about your cymbalta it seemed like it helpped the pain - so wait till you go to the mayo.. Cheri - Great idea of your bro's but you know all that has to be written up in a will by your parents to hold up.. Also being a caregiver is really really hard - would you have some one to be able to come in to give you a break.. Was the flood outside surface Water and you didn't have flood insurance?? Couldn't you get some low interest loan from the government - they usually come in and help pple out when things like that happen.. Hugs on your neice Eva - you going to be come a real estate agent?? I think you should be come a travel agent :0) !! I think my Brooke has gotten in trouble for not minding - it takes kids awhile to get in the groove... But that had to be so scary when you couldn't find him - those car lines are for the birds - yes - park and walk in to get him Laura - Yep I know why you are the way you are - latter life mommy - tried to so hard to have one - then were blessed to get Nel - I have a gf at work who was like 38 when she had DD (had to do all that fertility stuff) any way - she's the same way - I think she still sleeps w/her DD.. I think that maybe we take for granted our kids (not having issues in having them) where as - to pple who have a hard time having them once they do - they are extra special (thats not to say that ours aren't special - but you know what I mean ) But - What about the gym - yes you walked - but gym gf - weights - more than 1.5 mile ... Come on you are pretty damn fit so I don't think a 1.5 walk really over exerted you ;0)- we want you to get to goal !!! Charlene - You want to talk about hot - I will say that today was our hottest day all summer - at 6:30 tonite my car said 119.. Ok I know I missed a few - but it's 8:30 and I need to go eat.. I had boot camp tonite - and I wore a tank top - IT'S THE 1ST TIME I have done that... I figured my little short sleeves weren't really covering up anything - so what the hell - it pple don't like it they don't have to look..

    Good Evening Gang... Candice - LOL O'doul's - when pple try to give me a water down drink when I am drinking - i tell them put more alcohol in it - I am one of those drinkers who think they can drink all nite - cuz I use to - but again back then I had help from those things called diet pills - could drink all night and not get falling down drunk - I know you all don't think I'm as much of a drinker - not on a daily basis - but like when I go out - I can drink too much.. But I'm a fun drunk ;0) Love the $$$ saved by making ice that's cute... Hopefully pple will help you clean up - I know when my gf has a party pple are always helping clean up.. Karla - Yes you will be set free from letting go of all that junk that you are never going to have time to do... We have the same problem here in CA with # of kids in a class - I'm sure glad I don't have any kids in school.. Hugs you will survive So are you going to take a yoga class ?? Good for you... Well not much to report - back from the gym - boot camp tonite - then started my dinner - a one pot wonder - I didn't eat veggies last night so I have to get them in tonite. Tried to teach Bella to walk on a leash - but it's freaking hot - car said 119 at 6:30... Its the hottest it's been all summer - I can usualy go out at this time of nite and be ok not sweat - but tonite - hell no - we will practice more later.. Steph - How are you doing... How's Michael - is everyone ready for school to start - how's the house cleaning going Phyl - will be glad when you have regular internet - we sure do miss you.. Denise we haven't heard from you in AGES..

    What can I stay - I took the risk - so far I'm fine - If you have a good doc - follow the rules - it puts the odds in your favor - but the way I look at it honestly - life's a crap shoot - I could get up from my desk right now twist my ankle - hit my head and be dead... Lapband is the least invasive wls - and yes some pple have a hard time finding their sweet spot - some pple have a hard time changing their eating habits - some pple lose their bands some don't.. I read a few of those post on the complication thread - but quit.. I focused on the successfull pple.. This is your decision - but I gotta tell you - losing the weight at this age has improved the quality of my life so much !!! Therapy along w/the band is a good choice as imho the majority of our issues w/food are in our heads and not our stomachs I look 10 yrs younger - have 110 % more energy - enjoying life - not eating and sleeping it away.. Good Luck on your journey

Cheri - Yes I have heard of it (cleveland clinic) but don't remember where ;0) I know you understand that one - but it was good whatever I heard - Hugs & Prayers on the family issues - Andrew and dog drama nothing compared to that.. Laura - You crack me up - I guess I was a working Mom - Joseph was in daycare since he was 2 - going to school was no biggie for him - Yes I remember all the 1st days of school - it was tradition to take a picture - did the same w/Andrew - Andrew was another story - he didn't go to pre-school and it took him a moment to adjust to school.. Change of clothes - OMG girl -- Chill he will survive a couple of hours w/a wet shirt - he's growing up ;0) it's ok - kids do that.. You have laughing and shaking my head - you are such a 1st time mommy ;0).. Did you go to the gym like planed??? Julie - What is spahgetti salad?? I was really nice to come home after work and not have to rush to the gym - I think I am going to ask him if we can do Wed & Thursday.. Jessica - naps your ds still takes naps - my brooke hasn't in yrs - you are lucky - enjoy your quite time Well - not really hungry - or should I say don't feel like cooking - might just have the Soup I made last night for dinner..

    Hey Gang It was so nice not to have to rush home to change and go to the gym tonite (Idrise had something to do so we have make up on Saturday @ 8) Went and got dog food and a gate for Bella - But Mr Pissy (my GS who acts like a DH) says I am just teaching her to pee on the pad - she's not learning to go out side - Hell it's the best i can do - I work - I'm not here during the day and I am not leaving her in a crate from 7 a.m to 4:30 then come home for 15 minutes - then put her right back in.. Just not doing it - I don't beleive in it why have a dog.. So I have a portion of the laundry room gated - a pee pad behind the trash can (she has used it) - He's being such an ASSHOLE.. Steph - WTG the scales are moving back in the right direction. I understand about cleaning the house - not my fav chore either - but it does feel good when it's all done.. Candice - Are pple staying w/you - How cool that you will be singing ;0) What are you serving - or is it a pot luck.. Phyl - How did the day go.. Yep can't believe you didn't have a dog before - Zoey is like having a 1st child ;0) Karla - Did you say something about being gone tonite ....

We are suppose to be hot this week 115 tomorrow - 110 today - no gym tonite since trainer has something to do.. Well it's almost 6 - I need to get in the shower... CBL

    Hey Gang - Taking computer break ;0) Yesterday didn't do much gf came over we watched movies - Didn't care for Crazy Heart that much - Love the Book of Eli Had salad w/chicken for dinner and then we had some sf licorice Had 2 hrs of gym this morning - home then food shopping - making dinner and lunch for the week.. I saw you love Chipolettes - I have only been there once - didn't care for it myself - had carnita in a bowl w/white rice - not mexican enough for me ;0) Candice - you don't have to wait till after the bday party to eat healthy - come on - you can eat healthy from now to the birthday party and even then still eat healthy and allow for a little cake..     Good Evening Gang Gwen - here's the 5 day pouch test link Surgical Weight Loss 5 Day Pouch Test Cheri - You make realize that my Andrew drama isn't anything compared to yours - Hugs Jessica - I agree w/other you really should only eat when you are hungry not just cuz it's meal time - I do that a lot on the weekends cuz I am busy all day - it's funny I can miss bf lunch on the weekend - but at work - I never miss lunch - and mostly never miss bf either.. But like I said - I do fuel with both Water & some complex carbs before I exercise.. Charlene how's the cream working ;0) - I have some dermafreeze stuff I got at Marshalls - I don't think it really does any better than my normal lotion- well I don't have normal lotion - I have about 10 diff kinds :0) - but as long as my hands are well mositurized the hands don't look super bad - but I gotta say - I have noticed how thin my skin has gotten and wrinkled my hands are.. Glad you had a pair of shoes that fit - Gotta keep walking and getting back to healthy eating.. Melissa - Hugs Glad to hear you are going to start taking care of you - Your DH wasn't being mean - (well why did he buy cookies) it's true - you have the tool but you are eating around it.. I hear ya on the too hot to walk - it was like 110 today and we have been humid - It's the reason I go to the gym.. I don't my sweating - I hate being HOT.. There is a diff.. Well gang - I am pooped like I said been up since 4:30 (dogs of course) and why go back to bed when the alarm goes off at 5 - got to work at 7 - left at 3:30 took Bella to get her stitches out - didn't get home til 5:30 - Animal Samaratens is just like going to the doc - Had 4:20 appointment - they told me to be there by 4 - was there at 4 didn't see the doc til after 5 ...     Good Evening Peeps Been up since 4:30 - at work by 7 - left at 3:30 took Bella to get her stitches out - OMG I got there at 4 - didn't leave til after 5 - wait wait wait - but omg the dogs - this lady had a great dane - omg this dog was huge !!!! I mean Huge!!! But she was the mellowest things - such a sweetie... Candice - Hugs about your mom's friend - OMG Peters party is going to be fab... How are you doing w/your healthy eating - I know your exercise has been cleaning house.. I haven't ck'd fb yet to see where Phyl is.. Karla - OMG girl 3 truck loads - am I going to have to call the hoader patrol on you ;0)... Has your mom left - did you have a nice visit w/her I agree the coffee didn't help the laptop ;0) Well gotta go feed the dogs ...     Good Evening Gang.. Linda you are too nice - I'm called the Simon Cowell of LBT ;0) Welcome MSampson - Congrats on your 79 lbs gone !!! Yep dear it's all about eating healthy - that the key - diets don't work - that's so very true !!! You have to eat healthy and exercise.. As Linda said - being too tight cause us to eat sliders that are usually higher in calories. Go back to the basic = Google the 5 day pouch test - it's liquids like for 2 days then soft for a day or 2 then back to regular - I haven't ever done it - but a few pple have - For the 1st year - I kept a food/exercise diary (I counted calories 800-1200 daily and varied them)- I weighed and measured my foods (for the first few month) I still pull out the scale for somethings even today. Always eat your protein 1st - then veggies - then starch if you do have any room Make sure you eat low fat - limit starches - and mostly sugar free.. I still eat off dessert plate and use small spoon and fork.. Get out and walk - start slow then every couple of weeks increase your speed and distants - I lost the majority of my weight my walking on the treadmill - lost the last 30 by weight training and treadmill. I still weight train and now am into classes at the gym - boot camp - yoga - pilos - for the last couple of weeks I have been to the gym 5-6 days.. Yep I have my food demons - I will be physically full - but my brain wants more food - Sugar is my heroin - I eat mostly sugar free - but every now and then I want a reeses peanutbutter cups - - well in the past I would buy a bag of candy and eat it all in one night - now - I buy 1 candy bar and no more.. I don't keep foods in my house that I can't say no to - why that's self sabotage.. We are food addicts... You wouldn't leave a bottle of booze on the counter if you were an alcoholic.. I eat the same way I did when I 1st got my band - I am not dieting - I eat healthy food - I eat tons of fish (known for being the fish queen) I eat veggies every meal and I will save my starches for nights when my will power is the lowest.. I eat an ice cream almost every night - it's a sugar free fudgescile or sf pudding I budget my calories to compensate for when I am the hungriest (night) I'm attaching a sample menu.. You can do this - you just have to make up your mind that you want to get healthy (our brains are where are real problems w/food lies not our stomachs) You deserve a healthy life - you deserve to take care of you - You need to love yourself - and that doesn't mean killing your self w/food cuz that's how you love yourself - we all have been there - food is our comfort - it's our love - it's our reward for taking care of everyone else.. So Pull up the bootstraps - the past is the past - can't change it - but you do have control over what you put in you mouth - So starting right now - get rid of the junk in the house (throw it away - or give it to your local shelter) sit down make a menu - shop for the foods on that menu - count calories read the labels - get out and walk - and when you want to eat get on lbt post - go clean out a drawer - get up and distract yourself - And I bet you in 1 week you will come back and tell us the scales are moving in the right direction.. Jewel - Your doc is weird imho - everything out there says eat breakfast - There are some days I may skip usually weekends cuz I'm doing stuff (not exercising) but 99% of the time I do have something.. This isn't about starving - it's about re-learning how to eat healthy. Well not much to report since last night - busy day at work again - so I might not be back till tonite.. Love to all

    Nope Charlene - No gym tonite - I don't think I could anyway - I am pooped... Busy w/gym - Bella - work - all week - I am just pooped - I have the next 3 days off :0) Don't go back till Sunday - then going to try turbo kick boxing - don't know if I will add it to my repretraw (sp) of classes or not :thumbup: and then after it I have Pilos Have you tried Ryka - I like them they have a good size toe box - I get mine on QVC (OF COURSE ;0)..

    Busy busy busy... How do I catch up !!! Julie & Karen - glad you had a good time w/Phyl ;0) Julie - God does work miracles but he also made doctors - Faith is good and great - but so are doctors - Take a little of both - how much did she have to pay this healer ?? or should I say donate.. Lori - OMG you are funny and very sheltered not to know what the pipe was ;0) Love it.. You aren't worthless - you just have lost a bit of your focus on your eating got a little too comfortable - this is why I always keep a little fear w/me about food Enjoy Hawaii - but be mindful of your eating and drinking those blue hawaii's - and be sure to get your walking in - and visit the hotel gym.. Remember it's not a diet - but a lifestyle change and for us recovering food addicts - I feel that we have to be very very very careful not to let to much of our old eating habits slipping back into our new lives.. I find that 5 lbs makes a diff in my clothes.. And when you come home get back to basics... So I take it you aren't getting on the scales - I get on them about every 2 weeks Laura - 1st day of school - well since I worked and DS went to pre-school - it wasn't so tramatic for me - but I remember when Andrew went to kindergarden - that was - he didn't go to preschool so it was scary for him ;0) Joyce 7 kids omg - 1 was enough for me ;0) and 3 grandkids - I hate drama... This week I have been to the gym 6 time 2 x sunday - 1 monday - 1 tuesday - 2x wed !!! I'm going to turbo kick boxing before my pilos class on sunday morning - so this coming week will be another 6 exercise days - I love my yoga class on Wed nite - it feels so good to streach all those muscles.... Jessica - You need to make sure you eat breakfast - on Sunday mornings I always have something before I go to my classes - your body needs the fuel... I have been doing pt shakes since I am not hungry 1st thing in the morning.. Karen - Love the smile and pic's on FB that Phyl posted.. You are one freaking strong woman - all that dental work and other issues you have had on your plate lately - Hugs.. Well gang - I am very pooped - think I am going to go vegge can't wait for bb - think kathy or britnay are going home - but going to love their faces when what's his name plays his diamond veto - it's going to wake up the house..

Karla - we posted same time last night - I'm lucky Bear & Angel are good while I'm gone - they sleep all day - Today Bella got out of her enclosure - haven't found any poop so that's good - but would never find the peep - she most likely peeps 1/2 teaspoon.. Yep you gotta have a computer - we can't live without them Candice - so the party is at your house ?? 50 pple - oh my - what are you serving ??? M&M ??? Phyl was in Minnesota w/Karen yesterday - ust crossed the Mississippi river in to Wisconsin!! this was 8 hrs ago on fb - is she going to see linda?? Steph - see you are looking for helpers - too bad I don't live close or I would come and help....

Gwen - What are you eating??? What does your doc (ortho) know about lapband - it's not bypass... I think he needs some education - Remember this isn't about dieting but eating healthy Kurby - Try WW online or do you have any meetings in Canada - I figure they are everywhere - Yes you need to see the nutritionist - you need to learn what are healthy foods I have a sweet tooth too - SF puddings - popsicles - fudgesciles, yogurt - Chip - well gf you gotta leave all that junk food alone - remember thats the stuff that got us fat in the 1st place Judy LOL Puppy ;0) Eva - Hugs on the back issues - how many days left ;0) Charlene - LOL small amount of dark choc and small amount of wine - the problem with choc is when I start I don't want to stop - its my heroin and when they say a small amount they are talking about one of those trick or treat small little hershey choc.. You have lost a lot of weight in the last few months - it may slow down = just keep plugging away Jessica - glad you got all your school stuff - 1st day of school - I remember it well..     Hi Gang Got a few minutes between exercise - home from weights - 7:30 Yoga.. Linda - Yes Cora's age is wonderfull !!! I have this collage at work of Andrew when he was 2 - 3 - 4 you know the time in their lives where the idolize you ;0) - I wonder were that little boy has gone.. Don't worry - he is trying to manipulate me - not happening.. I'm going to Vegas 10/1 for the weekend - and the lady I work w/is gone the end of October - so I can't take off - I would love to go - but heck - I'm going in Nov ;0) Steph - Teenagers - I feel your pain - Hugs Hugs Hugs - I am going to have to ck fb to see where Phyl is - she is suppose to meet - Julie & Karen from my mentor thread today and tomorrow or was it yesterday and today ??     Good Morning Gang Drive by as I am at work and have tons to do... Melissa - sure glad to hear you are feeling good - as my Dad use to say "things have a way of working out for the best" he told me this after I got laid off once - it was a $100 a week job - after that is when I got this job.. Laura - Glad you are home - LOL your baby in 1st grade - before you know it - it will be high school LauraK - WTG on your walking - yep skin issues - I just don't like pain - so think that's the biggest reason I haven't gotten any PS.
