Good Evening Gang... Kelly You had me LOL ;0) Yep I am the food cop ;0) - Look like I scared away Chris on his donuts :0) Sorry but I can't help it - I was very strict in the beginning - still am for the most part - it would be way to easy to slip back in to my old habits - this new lifetime lifestyle change takes a whole lot of work.. It's not easy - planing etc - Just like yesterday when Phyl and I were out and about - at fast food places the choices are so hard - salad ya - but the load them w/cheese and then the dressing - that's where they get you and I don't like a lot of lite dressings - Phyl had some Soup - I had 3/4 of an veggie egg roll.. Nothing wrong w/your stew as long as you don't eat too many potatoes ;0).. Yes I am the queen of one pot wonders - diff meats (ground turkey - chicken - pork - beef) with veggies & tomatoe sauce and seasonings (onion garlic bell pepper jalepeno) I ate them for lunch my 1st yrs - I always saved my starch (rice potato pasta) to eat with dinner - My doc recommended to get your Protein in during the 1st part of the day so that at night you could have room for the veggies & little bit of carbs.. You have done excellent w/your weight loss - so you are doing it the right way - it's working for you !!! So keep up the good work !!! Linda - Glad to have you back - understand busy - life does get in the way sometimes... Eating outs that much is hard - I know it it for me - but you worked off those extra calories !! WTG Never had a scoth egg - I'll let someone else make it for me - might taste good - but I don't know.. Yep Phyl - you need some me time to do what you want - I don't know how you guy co-exist in that MH - too tight of quarters for me ;0 - but again I guess that's why I'm single ;0) I asked today if we are going to continue to have FF next yr.. My supervisors says she recommended that the cut them - I guess the bosses bitch about us being out so much - between pto & ff - we are - but that's not our fault - and since my supervisor is management - she doesn't have FF -I hope they keep them - but I like the extra time off ;0) Apples hugs on another freaking funeral ... Well sorry guys sorta drive by - it's 8:10 and I need to go eat.. Food today BF - 1/2 chicken thigh Lunch - BBQ chicken thigh & salad Dinner - Fish - fresh green Beans & 1 small red potato (maybe- fish is pretty thick) Snacks - WW fudgesicles & Popcorn ;0) Later chickies.

Previous post started before I left for gym.. Candice Happy Anniversary 36 yrs WoW - I can't make it past 2 yrs ;0) 1 st married for 1.5 yr 2nd time from 99 to 02.. Linda - Everytime I call Sis I get machine - Talked to Joseph and said she's fine - Andrew's good - all moved into his own place - called last night to say hi - asked why he didn't stop by after work - said - Oh I have to get home to my dog and I still gotta cook dinner ;0).. I agree about surgery and God plan - My Uncle won't get knee replacment afraid of the 1% chance something could go wrong - Hell who know's if we are going to wake up in the morning - it's all in God's hands/plan for us. Yes I have taken the time of ;0) - Are you flying into LA or Palm Springs or Ontario.. Palm Springs my 1st choice - ;0) - But Ontairo will be cheaper it's only 1.5 away - and not at all like LAX which is a BIG airport..... Candice - you are flying into LAX right?? I've only been to that airport once as a grown up and we took a bus - -

Karla - Seems like a few pple I know have gotten blood clots from surgery - I know of 3 who didn't have surgery and got blood clots.. Any time I get pain in my legs I worry about that - got one right not but not hot or swollen ;0) those are the signs.. Well back from bootcamp - new teacher does a lot of jumping- I don't jump too much on my 55 (almost 56) yr old knees - tail bone feels better but not 100% Did some modifications but still worked up a sweat ;0) Making fish w/the garlic oil & dipping seasoning I got yesterday - plus added more garlic & cajun seasonings - think it's going to be the bomb - Fresh green beans and maybe a red potato (very small) might skip that for my popcorn BF - 1/2 chicken thigh - Lunch Salad & Chicken thigh - 1 string cheese.. well timer going off.. -

Good Morning... Karla - Phyl & I were talking about banking calories yesterday - I say you gotta make it work for you - I beleive in banking - if I didn't I would go way over and never have gotten to goal.. My deal w/myself during Christmas - is that I won't eat the junk that we have in the office - so that I can eat Xmas cookies that I make w/GD's - It works for me.. Then I look at all those pple stuffing their faces - most over weight and say oh hell no.. Well time to jump in the shower - off to work I go too.. 55 this morning - suppose to be mid 70's today - tonite into the 40's... Maybe we will have a cold winter.. -
Good Morning Gang... Laura - Testing the limits - know all about that one ;0) my popcorn at night - was full from dinner - but had the muchies - ate popcorn.. Yep if you get your mind wrapped around it you can lose some more.. It's not really that hard - just remember why you got banded - but I guess the most important part - is do you want to lose more - are you happy where you are at. That's the real question.. As you know it's all about our food choices & exercise ;0) It's 55 this morning - heard that we are suppose to be in the 40's tonight (middle of the night) 76 today - boot weather for me ;0).. Great - WTG on swimming - proud of you - I would love some of those ribs ;0)

Karla - it's cold here too - in Cabazon (about 30 miles from Indio) it was cloudy windy and cold - it's about 65 right now and you know that's cold for us.. I think it's suppose to get in the 50's tonite.. I usually have some kind of wrap/coat shawl something in my trunk - but cleaned it out when we went to Vegas Phyl's ok - She seemed like her normal self - and she did TONS of waking this time - the most she has ever dones since we have been going to the outlets ;0) She's going to ck w/doc about uping her zoloft.. But she seemed really good to me - but again we were out and about having fun ;0) not couped up in the MH -

Hi Kelly - Welcome !!! I have a 2nd cousin who lived in Porterville - Joanne something - I never knew her my Grandma use to talk about her.. I go by the sign when going to my DS house which is up north - I'm in So Cali.. You are doing great 10 lbs !!! No Coach purses for us this time - nothing caught my eye - I really like B Markcousky (sp) lately - his leather is so soft.. I got a pair of Jeans at Ralph Lauren - 3 pairs of pjs at Hanes and 2 tops & 1 dress at Karen Kane - off the sample rack.. Her other clothes were to expensive.. Oh ya some garlic oil & herbs to cook my fish in.. Then came home and Phyl's DH fixed us a wonderfull dinner I'm still stuffed ;0) Yep funeral's do that to you - bring up all the previous one - Hugs !!! Tell DD congrats Hope a cold front doesn't move in so you can get your fill.. Well drive by gang - need to go veg so I can be ready for my busy day tomorrow ;0)

Bunny - Just realized South Africa - How Cool - I live in the Desert too ;0) Southern California - most pple don't recognize the town Indio - but most pple know Palm Springs Ca or Palm Desert Ca or Rancho Mirage CA (President Ford) In the summer it's 110 - but lucky - mostly dry heat - I go to the gym - it's too hot to walk outside.. WTG on your food diary - It's a great learning tool - you won't have to do it forever - Phyl - Yep your DH is a sweety !!! (Bunny Phyl & I are both Lucky 7's banded 7/07 and she winter here in the Desert - We are more than just internet friends ;0) Well drive by - just got home from spending the day w/Phyl - shopping ;0) then her sweet DH made us dinner ;0) = got to get ready for work tomorrow Hugs everyone -

Candice - Sorry about your GF Mom - I don't know if I would go thru all that - If I was told it's terminal - I would want to enjoy my last few months on earth not being so sick from the chemo.. Yep we have a lot to be thankful for.. Karla - Yep to day was retail therapy ;0) - Didn't get a purse at Coach - nothing really grabbed me - Got a pair of Jeans at Ralph Lauren $39 - 1 night gowns & 1 set of pj's from Hanes $42 - 2 Tops & 1 Dress from Karen Kane - they were samples - Karen Kane is Expensive even with 40% off a top is like $80 there - I got 2 tops 1 $20 - 1 $30 and the dress was $40 - Then went to the kitchen place - got some garlic dipping oil & herbs - I'm not dipping - too many calories - cuz I LOVE garlic dipping oil - at this place they have samples - I ate way too many samples ;0) - I am going to use it on my fish ;0).. We had our Starbuck - then home - Earl had wine & cheese ready for us - then fixed us dinner - chicken - Taters - Green Beans - I am STUFFED - it was Delicious !!!! Then came home to feed my babies - that's another draw back of not having Andrew around.. -

I agree w/Candice - I would look into sleeve - Little Miss Diva just had it done - they have a sleeve site - Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy Surgery (VSG) Forum - Alex (lbt) started it you will find a lot of our banders there - a lot have converted Susan - Wasa - Denise (oregondaisy) little ms diva are just a few that come to mind - but you will see a lot of pple who use to be banded and on lbt - who have converted. If I lost my band - I would go to Mexico and get the sleeve.. -
Good Morning Gang... LOL Apples - Janet's Ass Kicking - Well Chris - #1 thing you need to know about me - is that I give tough love - the operative word is love.. And I am a food cop... You really gotta get it through you head - that you can't eat like you use to - how you ate pre-band is what got you fat in the 1st place.. My DGD is 6 yrs old weighs 87 lbs - her Mom is morbity obese - she has taught her child to eat unhealthy - ranch dressing w/pizza cuz it taste yummy - even my 16 yr old DGD who isn't heavy eats unhealthy - tons of white starches & cheese.. This is why a lot our kid in the USA are a over weight - just walk down the street - look at them - it's the foods they are eating - Kids now a day eat more fast food than they do home cooked foods - I talk to my grandkids all the time to eat healthy and now a days they are teaching that in school too - which makes me happy It's miserable growing up fat - it's awful to be made fun of.. I know - I was the fat girl.. Treats now an then are fine - but the thing is now and then - not 24/7.. During my weight loss phase - I had a few - but not too many - I wanted the weight off - I didn't have major surgery to keep eating the way I use too. I still limit my treats - once a week - once every 2 weeks - but again - no adays my body craves healthy foods - and as the weight comes off you will look at how others eat - the kinds of foods they eat and think omg - I use to eat like that - no wonder I got to be so big..

Bunny I think most of us could be nutritionist - due to all the knowledge we have about eating plans - the problem is that the whole lifetime lifestyle change thingie has never reallys resonated with us.. That's the light bulb moment - the ah ha moment - This is truly about making a lifetime change in our eating - that our "normal" eating is what got us fat in the 1st place.. I know a lot of pple don't want to weigh measure count calories - but as fat chicks we aren't truly aware of the amount of calories that we are consuming - we think a serving size is 16 oz steak - it's 4 ounces - we don't really know what 4 oz looks like - we don't know what 1/2 cup looks like.. I weighted and measured foods for the first 3 or so months until I could eyeball a serving size - I still pull out my scale even now - especially w/pasta.. I still read labels before I buy/eat anything - It takes me forever to grocery shop - I will want say a candy bar - I know that my fav reese pb cups - reg size has 230 cal - if I want brownies - I look at the box read the calories - then say to myself - will you be able to stop at 1 or 2 - nope - so back goes the box. weighting & measure & keep a food diary are learning tools imho - I kept a food/exercise diary for the 1st yr (till I got to goal) and even now if I have put on a lb or 2 - I start writing down what I eat - There are so many things that we don't think adds up - (those little snack candies - a handful of chips - a glass of OJ) but they all add up - Eat your protein - I supplemented mine w/pt drinks in the beginning - there are clear pt drinks that are like crystal lite - 70 cal 15 grms pt - then eat your veggies - drink v8 juice too.. White bread - potatoes - rice - pasta - potato chips - ice cream - candy - have any real nutritional value - that's sorta how I choose what I eat - is it feeding my body.. I need energy to exercise - I choose good carb (complex) I eat veggies all the time (lunch & dinner) You do have to find what works for you - put it's scientifically proven that pple who log their food are more successful... -

Good Morning Gang.. Well my furr babies let me sleep til 4:48 - which is really 5:58 (since they can't tell time) but the only problem is I went to bed around 11ish (12).. Thank God for coffee.. Karla - Yep #4 (I'm use to #'s ;0) isn't being responsible - We all want to give our kids the benefit of doubt - that normal.. We want so much for our kids. We want them to get it.. But sometimes they just don't.. It's hard I know.. I have a 39 yrs man who still wants to be a 20 yr old IMHO... Candice - how's the voice doing... Linda - Lurking ??? #1 Rule - Eat Protein 1st - Make sure you eat tiny bites - chew very well - eat slowly - That's how you test your restriction - if you are phyiscally full after eating 4 oz of meat. Eating sliders (food w/sauces - mushies) is going to slide right on thru and you can be as tight as all get up - but you won't feel restriction cuz they are sliders.... It doesn't matter the # of cc in your band - cuz we are all diff. -

I would have been in the underground if I lived back then (1940-45) - What Would You Do - is a t.v. show that has play actors - like a guy abusing his GF - and they see how many pple will get involved. There are so many pple who don't get involved - That the problem now a day.. Yes the stories are more than terrible - but when we think we have something bad going on with our own lives - it's proof that other have it 1000000millon times worse and we have not right to complain ;0) - And the stories have to be kept alive - pretty soon no more holocaust survivors won't be alive and no one should forget.. You had surgery on 10/27 Just a little over 2 weeks ago. I doubt that you are on sold food #1 - #2 those freaking donuts are what got you obese in the 1st place they aren't healthy.. They are sugar & fat & white starch - If you want some chocolate - try SF Dark Choc puddings - they are great - or get some Weight Watchers Fudgesicles or Healthy Choice Fudgesicles.. Or Pure Protein makes a ready made shake Chocolate - mix it with some of the PB2 & 1/2 banana... Those things are healthy choc fixes.. You don't want to be pbing 2 weeks out - your stomach hasn't healed yet - Not Good... Please keep your trigger foods out of the house - Would you keep a bottle of booze on the kitchen counter if you were an alcoholic. Food is our drug of choice and you have to be so very mindful of that.. Laura - I will have to go ck out your pictures... I don't get any food ads - the only ads I see when on lbt are lapband - bypass - sleeve ads - Isopure - if they are pop ups doubt it has to do with lbt - but w/your internet browser - turn on your pop-up blocker - I don't get any - here or on fb.. Gym - walked 2 miles on the treadmill (I still can do it) then at 10 a.m. went to Pilos - Rose our regular teacher has left and Madelina has taken over the class - Which I am so happy about - Rose (who was my boot camp teacher) taught Boot Camp Pilos - Madelina class is paliates & yoga - a nice Sunday morning workout - not bootcamp style - you work up a sweat but it's not bootcamp... Then went got nails done (yes I went all sweaty from the gym w/no make up - hair in a bandana ;0) Then came home showered went to Marshalls & Target - got home around 3:30.. Food today - BF 1 egg -lunch - zip as I was out and about - dinner will be BBQ & fresh green Beans w/a little bacon & red potatoes - Snacks - popcorn & ww fudgescile I need a black leather purse for winter ;0) - I have printed 2 coach 20% discounts for me & Phyl - Well that's my day - just had some coffee cuz it's only 6:30 and I know I will be ready for bed at 8 - but since I don't have to get up at 5 ;0) it sounded good - had some sf white choc creamer w/it..

I agree somewhat - it does help if you try to eat 16 oz steak - but doesn't do a darn thing when you want to eat 1/2 gallon of ice cream IMHO I think that pple think it's a cake walk and then when the lbs don't come flying off they blame the band.. It's all about food choices - knowing the calories in the foods you eat and getting off your butt and exercising... I did 75% of the work by making good food choices & exercising and 25% was the band ... -

Good Evening Gang Candice - I must have missed the post that you were going to see Megan & Bry ;0) ... Yep your food wasn't bad and WTG on no dessert!! Christmas shopping let's not talk about Christmas - I will be gone the week that I normally decorate and shop - Having carpets cleaned on the 23rd - grout cleaned on the 24th - so Don't know when I am going to get that done and still don't know for sure if the kids are staying home or coming Karla - Hugs on the dog issues and DD#4 - I would be super super super super pissed off.. I think that I am going to have to kennel mine sometimes since Andrew doesn't live w/me anymore - I don't know - I guess it would be ok if all 3 were together - Debbie can come to feed the cat or my gf Candy - that's not a big deal - I just don't want the dogs alone at night - that's when they are use to having me around.. Hell they sleep all day and then play when I get home.. Phyl where are you - I sent you email - I will be at your house as soon as I pickup my tickets from AAA - they open at 9 - I hope Ron is there then... Bunny Here's my 2 cents on our bands being only a tool.. Even when you get to your sweet spot you will be able to eat certain foods (candy - liquid calories(shakes juice alcohol) - cookies - chips - ice cream in unlimited quantities.. Our bands will never be able to make our food choices - that's up to us.. Also our new full is a diff kind of full - it doesn't mean you are satisfied.. I can eat my dinner be physically full - but my body craves more food - I want the taste - My brains says you ate 4 oz of meat and 1/2 cup of veggie - that's not a lot of food.. - But if I really think about my stomach I am full - but it doesn't mean satisfied. ALWAYS eat your protein 1st (meat chick fish) then - sit and contemplate your stomach does it feel full - do you feel the meat in your pouch - are your full orl just mentally hungry. If you are still hungry - move to veggies - to me veggies are free (low calories) - till you get to your sweet spot - eat extra veggies if you are still hungry and for me I only allowed starches (rice/tato/pasta) at dinner for the most part - I sorta followed the old fashion WW way of eating (exchanges) It's up to you to change your eating habits - it's up to you to eat healthy foods (lower fat, less carbs, less sugar) Also - I am a big advocate of exercise - for the 1st 8 months I walked 4-6 days a week on a treadmill - then I move to weight training 2 x a week and treadmill 2 x a week.. You do have to rely on self control - You have to understand that you are a food addict - you have to learn how to deal w/your emotions in diff ways - instead of stuffing they away with food.. I don't keep candy in the house - I don't keep trigger foods in my house - if you were an alcoholic would you keep a bottle of booze on the kitchen counter.. We are no different.. Except our drug of choice is food.. Bordom is a big food trigger for me - so I will get up get on the computer come here - or play farming on FB - go clean out a drawer - wash my face - just something other than eating.. I also am a firm believer in keep a food diary - I gave myself a calorie budget 800-1200 during my weight loss phase - and I always budgeted those calories to make sure I had something to eat when those night time muchies hit.. I'm a nite eating - I saved my calories for evenings - ate sf choc pudding - sf fudgesicles - 100 cal snack pack popcorn.. If after 2 weeks you don't feel your fill - call the doc an make another appointment. But till you get to that sweet spot and even after - your food choices are up to you.. Your band isn't going to lose the weight for you - You are the one who has to do the work. I say that I did 75% of that work by making healthy food choices and exercising and the band did 25% of the work by providing restriction. Like my signature say - Healthy Eating + Exercise + Band = Success (in that order) Also - I have always eaten more than 1/2 cup of food - I normally eat 1 to 1.5 per meal.. They haven't invented a band for our heads just yet The band doesn't cure our mental issues w/food and that's where the majority of our issues lie - Being a little hungry isn't going to kill us - we know where our next meal is coming from next meal - and we can wait out those hungry pangs.. -
Good Morning Gang.. Yep Apples - I contacted Linda on FB she's been traveling working - life stuff nothings wrong - I'm sorry I forgot to tell you all.. Didn't do anything yesterday but watch tv read ate and napped.. I love the time change - went to bed 9ish - got up at 6 ish - ready for the gym ;0).. Arlene - table was beautiful !!! Joyce - You will be ok w/food - you got the right mindset. #2 Janet - Welcome - I don't try to run on my 55 yr old knees - but I can jog a little - Laura - glad you got to sleep in - it feels good to sleep - I needed it yesterday - ate way too much - but nothing too too terrible - it's just that when we do eat more than usual it bugs us - our minds have changed - I have gym at 10 may go a little early and do the treadmill.. Julie - Like I said it's good to sleep to me it's our bodies telling us to slow down - I know we don't feel older in our heads but the truth is we (well most of us) are 50+ and we need our rest to get re-energized. Jodi - You sound like you have it under control (fill) - I back to reading my Holocaust books and on What would you do t.v. program on friday - it was about a guy dissing Jewish pple - I was proud to see so many Non-jews getting pissed and telling him off.. Like I said before I think I was Jewish in another life - reading these books helps me appreciate my life that we take for granted.. Phyl - We are on for shopping on Monday - just remembered I gotta p/u my tickets from AAA the open at 9 so I will be at your house around 10 ish.. Well gang need to move - I got my rest in yesterday and now I got stuff to do.... CBL

Good Morning... Phyl I hear you on the sweets - I ate too much yesterday myself - It's cuz I never left the house 1 cup hamburger meat & a sprinkle of cheese Popcorn Quesdilla (2%cheese) Popcorn SF Popsicle SF Pudding 2 ice cream cones w/sf Ice Cream 3/4 cup ice cream Cup of my chicken soup Popcorn That what I remember anyway - who knows what else I ate.. I feel like a pig today - have gym in a few.. Never did anything yesterday - read - watched tv and napped - went to bed around 9 - got up 6 a.m. Got email from Penny she will be at work on Monday - so I'm clear for the day.. I can make it later if you want to go to water exercise... I could go to gym myself ;0) I gotta look for coach coupons ;0) Yes early dinner sounds good - cuz that way I can get home early and ready for work on Tuesday.. Max's service looked really nice.. -
WTG Sandy !!! Hunting - I don't care to watch them shooting & cleaning an animal - I rather by it at the grocery store ;0).. Laura - Enjoy your time... I have 2 leather jackets - I do get a chance to wear them in the winter - I haven't turned on the heat - Even in the winter I rarely do - I know that 1st time heater smell - ugh... I just wear sweats & or my fluffy robe.. I have large walk in closet and most of my tops stay in that one - what I change out is summer dresses vs winter dresses - capri vs long pants.. Apples so far today all I have done is watch 2 Oprah shows - a little bit of Beverly Hills House Wives - Got Brothers & Sister on now - ate 1 cup of hamburger meat w/tad of cheese and hot sauce & some popcorn - Thinking about a nap.. Great - I got those velevet like hangers from costco.. I don't even own a real winter coat ;0) Well back to the couch -

Karen - Just remember you can never go back to eating our normal - which was junk all the time.. I take one day a week or maybe every 2 weeks - depending on my weight - and have treats - something that I don't consider healthy - sugar usually.. and I have kept up on exercise - it's something I will do the rest of my life... I feel to good to blow it.. Last night was my treat - fried tacos - I don't eat fried foods - so that was my treat for the week ;0).. Patty 3 weeks liquid ugh!!! thats long - I was lucky 10 days each phase - yep puree will be devine !!! -

Awe Hugs Phyl... I think you have been slammed w/alot this week - Yep when someone dies it gets to us.. Earl was just a butthead - this week - Hugs... I'm suppose to be off Monday (my ff) not 100% sure cuz girl I work w/DH had surgery - she was out Thrus and Frid - he's suppose to come home from hospital today - She's suppose to let me know if she is going to have to stay home another day w/him - she doubts it.. but she may have too - so she is suppose to let me know sunday if I need to go in or not - We could take a ride to cabazon if you like.. Not super early like usual - doubt that on a Monday they would be crowded - we can always hit the coach store - maybe some retail therapy is what you need.. So if you like can pick you up 10ish.. and I will share my chips w/you ;0) Ya I would love to see Tracy - and meet Jim ;0) - I will be here at home at Xmas - Traveling w/dogs and such during the holidays is just too much - The freeways are just to packed..
