I had a nuclear stress test - cuz my heart rate didn't get high enought on the stress test (treadmill) but i take antenoal (sp) which reduces your heart rate. The test is no biggie - you go in and these put you under a machine that takes pic of heart (viedo really) then you come back - they shoot you up with meds that make your heart race while hooked up to ekg - then you go back to the machine that viedo tapes your heart - it's to make sure you don't have aterey (sp) problems... Good Luck - they just want to make sure you are healthy enough for surgery.. I had to do every test in the world to get approved for mine - your doc want successfull surgerys on his record - he doesn't want problems... This is a good thing - if you have a problem it can be fixed.

Speed Racer I know that you have heard this before "Life's not Fair" Ya gotta face the fact that we are fat cuz of our lack of exercise and what we eat. You have to quit making excuses and just do it - Get on that treadmill while you are watching tv - I go to the gym after work M/T/W/F/Sat Do you really think i want to - Hell no - I HATE exercising but i know that in order to lose weight/maintain my weight loss I have to. Everyone needs excerise - we weren't made to sit infront of the t.v. 24 7 - ya - it's a lot easier - but it's not good for us.. I drink my water and I don't think that it works in keeping you full (that mho) as water goes right through - I was banded 7/17 - i didn't get my 1st fill until 9/5 - was scheduled for 11/8 for 2nd but called the first of Oct and told them i needed one before that and go 10/24 for my second - I am doing this on my own right now - I have some restriction but not much. Have you read "You on a Diet" by dr oz or anything by bob green You don't have to follow their eating programs - but both are good - I use a little bit of everyones - I stay away from the nuts cuz they have just too many calories and i beleive you have to count calories- What we are doing is not a diet but a lifestyle change - for the rest of our lives not just to lose the weight - cuz once it's gone and we go back to our old ways then the pounds will follow...

Isabella - I love yellow crooked neck squash - zuchinnee (sp) - I mix these 2 togerther - I am not a cook who really times or measure (grew up cooking and loving food = hence why i am fat) but i would say for 15 -20 minutes. I also love brussel sprouts - spinach - carrots - califlower I just cook until done (soft) drain and spray and yes they help with night hunger - and they way i look at it you are getting alot fewer calories eating vegges than you doing eating mash potatoes - I think that most of the time that we do not accept that we are full we just want to continue to eat cuz it taste good - it's that way for me - I have to really stop myself alot as my tummy is truely full but i want to keep eating... it's hard to distingush between the two sometime... Do you live on your own?? Is that your baby?? - I was a young mom too that's why i ask...

OK Jackie the food angel/cop is on her way NO CANDY have your DH put it somewhere that you don't see it or know where it is..... CALL THE DOC ON MONDAY !!!! Get the fill before your party... I was just telling someone on the slow loser site that I am all too familar with the little mind games that we play with ourselves... That truely is what us fat people do we play these little mind game - we try to lie to ourselves.. But see you really aren't beleiving those lies by what you said i feel like if I put off my fill just so I can eat more at this party then I am trying to 'cheat' my band IMHO I agree 100% - this is the whole reason for the band... and if you don't use it - then what's the use of getting it... For your feeding frenze before Aunt Flo - stock up on sf choc pudding - Healthy Choice Fudgecicles - Dannon Light & Fit yogurts - buy those and eat them instead of the fattening stuff - they are just as satisfiing... Really they are...... and here I go breaking the rules - but I have the 100 calorie bags of popcorn when I want chrunchy salty food - i spray with I cant beleive its not butter spray and add salt - it takes care of that saltly chrunch factor - I eat one piece at a time.... Not handfulls like in the past.... You are on your way to a healthy mindset about food - you are going to win this battle - You are realizing that your little lies to yourself for what they are "lies & mind games" And you are ready to quit playing those games... :clap2::clap2::clap2: Tough band love :kiss2: love being the operative word xoxox Janet

I like that "Nice Not" - I just relate to everyone here - i but it plain words.. I am a fat person I have a fat person mentally I understand !! I know that for myself if i do eat that 1 piece of pizza (and I have) that it will lead to 2 or 3 etc. so i just don't start... And I think after I ate it - was it really that great and i gotta say for me it's wasn't the way i look at it - I would of rather had more food for the least amount of calories (i don't have much restriction yet) - we have a way of working it up in our minds that OMG i miss it so much - I just gotta have it - It's just like a druggie chasing his/her high - that original high is never going to happen again and they keep doing more and more to try and recapture it. It's food for us - we want that chemical reactions from the serotonin that's our drug of choice... I am just parroting all the info I have read, watched and weight loss prorgrams that i have particiapted. I know about all the mental games that we play with ourselves to justify why we eat - I have played them many of times.. But I know a lie from the truth and it's just accepting that. we keep telling ourselve little lies that this bite won't hurt - it's ok if i skip exercising today - it's not ok - most skinny people do have to work at it to - we think that they don't but they do... Why do you think the gym ifs filed with more skinny people than fat... As to the coffee - I am not a big coffee drinker as i only have 1 or 2 in the morning - and my doc said that was ok... Chris - I wish you the best - and truely want to see you succeed and I know you can once you put all the info you have to work.

Isabella - is your age right??? you are only 16 and were able to get banded??? I gotta say you are a beatiful girl at 170 !!! I put my veggie in a pot add Water to cover and boil - I cook my veggies to death cuz that's the way i have always liked them - drain and spray with i can't beleive it's not butter spray - salt & pepper. I don't feel that my band changes during the day or night as i can eat whenever - but I am a night time eater too - I know that you have heard this before - but you really shouldn't go all day with out eating... Yes all mine know and so does my office (a gf told everyone) I really don't care though I would have told half of them anyway... I have one gf (the one who told) who thinks i took the easy way out she doesn't say so but i know thats what she thinks - I have lost 39 lbs mostly from my own work as I don't have much restriction some but i still can eat - and if I chose not to eat healthy or exercise - i know that the weight i have lost would not be as great - I have choosen to eat healthy, log my food and exercise... -

That's Great Phyl - :clap2: - I guess it isn't a good thing that my drivers license say i weigh 130 :Banane10: Cuz I won't ever be back there again even with the band - Well i could be if that were my goal - but it isn't - I want to get to at least 170 - then may go for 150... But right now 170 is my goal.. Denise - Sorry about your sliming are you maybe just a tad too tight? Michelle - How are you doing??? How's the stress with your Mom & Audit going?? Phyl - out of the mouths of babes - when my gs was 5 i told him know he couldn't have a toy right before xmas - and he kept bugging and i still told him know and asked him why he kept bugging me and he said "It's not my fault cuz you spoiled me" Green - it good to hear that you are doing better... and that you haven't gained any weight - You should take your fav fat clothes to a taylor and have them cut down to fit you now... That's what i plan to do for a few items that i love. -
Speed Racer I am sorry that you are so frustrated... 1st you need to talk to your doctor about your situtation .... You need a more agressive fill But you have to remember 25% of the work is done by the band and 75% is up to you - just cuz you can eat 3 piece of pizza doesn't mean that you should if you can't say no (and you really can) just allow yourself 1 piece. It isn't that one piece that is going to hurt you its all the others and did that pizza really make you feel better - or did it just make you feel guilty?? What does decreasing your coffee have to do with your weight loss unless you are filling it up with cream & real sugar. Have you tried keeping a food diary?? This really helps me - I keep my calories at around 1000 -1200 a day and I exercise 4-5 times a week (walk on the treadmill min 2 miles a day plus weights every other day and on Sat 4 miles) You can do this - you just have to make up your mind and remember why you did this in the 1st place - you wanted a healthier life.. Call your doctor - talk to the nurtitionist - Do some soul searching... Good Luck - Hope things get better...

Chris - Just cuz you can eat everything does give you permission to.. Remember why you were banded - Try and make healthly food choice - remember this is a lifestyle change and not a diet.. Don't keep the junk you like to eat in the house - stock up on the good food - distract yourself when you want to eat - don't give in to is - go for a walk.. 75% of the work is up to you... You can do it !!! You went through all the hassle to get banded, so that shows me your determanation you can do this....

Jeannie - Make time for yourself - go get that 2nd fill - you didn't go through all the trouble to get banded not to use it... Go Get A Fill!! Thanks Denise - I can tell you one thing those 4 miles can wipe you out but it feels good to be able to challenge myself - plus the more i exercise the more i can eat and still lose weight - I am like you I can eat too much. 10/24 is my 2nd fill Phyl - I want to be where you are - I can eat 1/2 cup of eatbeatter and would love to be full on 1/4 c - my gosh you are getting full on 1/2 of that... I can't wait until the 24th - I can't beleive that when I called the 1st of Oct that I had to wait 3 week to get in - my doc does fills only on weds - I have a whole week & 1/2 and right now that seems like a long time - I am hungry too often and willpower only goes so far.. But the way i am looking at it is that if i max out at 1500 calories a day is sure alot better than 4000 calories and i am eating healthly.

Lori you can use the unjury protein powder in your food - you just can't heat above 130 degrees... I put it i my coffee some morings - put it in my soups - but you gotta let them cool down some - 1 scoop is 20 grms of protein... it makes it easy to get all your protein in - I am required to get minimum of 60 daily.. Once you get to add foods to your healthly eating plan it's not hard to get your protien in - 1 oz = 7 grm pt...
