    Denise IMHO I don't think you need a fill either - I don't know where people come up with this if you aren't losing you need a fill - If you have restriction you don't need a fill imho.. As you know it's really about food choices not just how much you are able to eat - For me I want to eat at least 1 cup per meal - I don't think it's healthy to only eat 1/4 c or 1/2 c per meal - that's not real life (well neither is 1 c but you know what I mean - it is a little bit better at least mentally for me ) I know you want these last 10 lbs gone and that it's very hard when you do so much work and it's not coming off. Maybe you are at your happy weight - last month Self Magazine had an artical about happy weight - the weight that your body sets it's self to and a maintainable weight -Example - Ya I would like to be 130 but would have to strave myself to maintain that weight - but at 140 I can eat and not worry 24/7 about the exercise and every morsel of food I put in my mouth.. Well for whatever it's worth that's my opinion :thumbup:

    Good Morning Gang... Well, I didn't sleep well again last night - woke up like every hour - got a headache this morning - I think I over did the exercise - or am not getting enough water - my legs hurt.. Well today's goal is water - doubt I will get much exercise tonight just a walk around the block - maybe I will get a better night sleep. Oh here is my rant this morning - as you know I am watching DGD's for the next 2 day - well, just talked to 13 yr old asked if they were packed (told her last night to do it so I would just have to go by their house and pickup their stuff) well they aren't :frown:- pisses me off:mad: - I am very routine :w00t:- now I will have to wait for an hour for them to get packed tonight - I know I am unreasonable but it's frustrating when you tell the lazy GD (and she is lazy she is always getting in trouble for not doing her chores) at 6:15 p.m. to do something and she doesn't.... Well, I know get over it - it's no biggie - does anyone have some xanax to send my way for the next 2 days - Only you older ones are going to understand about having a 4 yr old for 2 days at the age of 53... Ok I will survive - I know it - I am just making matters worse by dwelling on it - it won't be as bad as I imagine.. OK I am done..:frown: As to $$$ of Lucky #7 Anniversary $20 - $25. This is what we use here at work for xmas gift exchange... Ok well off to ck my desk and get ready for my day - my team mate will be gone for the rest of the week - so I am here alone to take all the calls:angry: I am having a lovely week - well can't wait to talk to the trainer today - Can't belive those words just came out of my mouth - me wanting to exercise - I want to get strong... I am looking forward to that :frown: again did fat janet just say that - things do change !!!!:thumbup:

    OK Gang Remember we talked about this in Dec - we were too late to do a secert Santa for Christmas - so I suggested that we do it for our 1 yr band anniversaies in July. Well, July will be here before you know it - so I thought I would but it out there again who wants to particiapate???? Everyone who wants to do this email me Jwrightpim@aol.com your address and band date - then once everyone has done that I will tell everyone who their person is and give them the info - and the deal is that you send them a little anniversary present for their 1 yr band anniversary... What dollare limit do you want to put on the gift??? -------------------------------------------------------------------' OK I am hungry it's 7:30 - I am going to go eat - I'll ck back later.

    Lynn What are your doctors instructions - that's what you have to go by - all of our doc's gave us diff post op instructions - I had to do full liquids (includes creamed soups for 10 days - mushies for 10 days - soft 10 days and then regular. My suggestion is to make some homemade soups prior to having surgery so they are done when you get home - just in case you don't feel like cooking cuz they taste better than the canned stuff On the main page there is a food thread - it's full of receipts for each stage Welcome we are happy to have you join us...

    Pris - To do the mulit quote - say you want to quote me, salsa, frustrated on mine you click on multi quote - on salsa you click multi quote and on frustrated you click on quote - yuo will get all 3 of our post in the reply box - then you go below my quote and type your response - then you go below salsas and type your response and same thing for frustrad and hit submit. if you want you can delete the portion that you aren't responding to like I did on yours above (by highlighting and deleting) I am the one who misses guzzling water - i use to be able to drink a 16 oz glasse in one swoop - can't now have to take my time:crying: Like Brandy said you are a July baby with us even though you had complications and ended up not getting banded - but you have done the next best thinge (in a banders eye:tongue: ) You still have weight issues and that's what this group is about - supporting each other. So don't stop posting just cuz you aren't banded. Thanks Karri for the hug - some days I just don't like my job - I have been doing it so long its just the same old crap and I have to issue certificates (evidence of coverage from one contractor to another) well they are the BIGGEST PAIN IN THE ASS things to do. (sorry for cussing but I just had to cuz I HATE certs) It seems like your insured never gives you all the info you need to issue correctly the 1st time so you end up doing them 3 times - I want to yell at them STUPID we do this over and over again - you know i do have work to do - i am not sitting on my hands waiting for you to call me to redo certs all day long... I can't yell at them - but OMW i sure do want to some times... As you know I didn't sleep well last night either - and had to really talk myself in to going to the gym tonite - But had to cuz I am having Grandaughters for the next 2 nights and don't think I will be able to get to the gym - and I was suppose to meet Phyl before support group for dinner - but cancelled cuz I really wanted to get my exercise in today (and didn't think that the support group was as important - really want to meet Phyl cuz she will be going home soon - but we are going to get together before she goes.) - since for the next 2 days - i will just be walking around my development I think if you are sore you are suppose to give your muscle 48 rest between work outs - but I will find out - cuz guess who I talked to tonite - a TRAINER well, last night as i was coming in he was leaving and I asked for his card - but was so busy never got to call him today - so tonite as I was leaving he was coming in and he put my name & # in his blackberry and said he would call me tomorrow - My plan is to work with him for 1 month (well gotta find out how much $$$) for maybe twice a week or whatever he suggest - I need to build some muscles and I want to do it correctly so that I am not intimidated by the machines. They say the more muscule you have the more calories you burn - so I want to burn baby burn those calories away. After everyone talking about why they choose their weight - got me to thinking that maybe I should try for 145 - but I want to get to 160 first then I will see. NSV to report - I walked for 2 miles straight at 4.0 on a 1 incline - I ususally do 1 or 2 songs at 3.9 or 4.0 - i even jogged for 7 10th of a mile so that I could say I did 2 miles in 30 minutes - but it was a bit much - I hope I didn't hurt my heels - but I am proud to say I did 2 15 minute miles. Thanks Brandy !!! OMW CONGRATS ON 146.5 that is awesome - way to go.. I bet you are really busy but sure glad you got a second to stop by - pop in and let us know how things are going.. Oh ya Karri we want to know what was yummy & healthy - I am having turkey meat loaf (made it last night) 1/2 c mash potatoes & green Beans.

    Ruby - Glad to hear you will get your booby fixed on the 12th - I hate the not eating after midnight - I don't get up as often as I use to - but the minute you tell me not to eat - I want to eat - I am very lucky not to have anyone watching me or telling me what I can or can't eat - I would do very bad even thought I would only be hurting myself by eating bad stuff - I don't think I have learned to control the rebel in me.. I forgort about the squash - I am going to have to make note to self to remember... I have a gf who had bypass and she too said that she is now in to flavor since she can't eat as much - I like hot stuff myself - Karri - You take after your band mommy - wanting to eat when you are overly tired :thumbup: But now that I am aware of it - I try not to get that way and you and I slept just as bad as i did last night - I am hating my job right now can't get anything done cuz everyone wants stuff yesterday... I am not feeling too hot - hope I am not getting sick... Well it's lunch and I want to eat and get away from my desk - will ck back later - did i mention I hate my job.... I know positive affirmations - i hate my job - i hate my job- i am tired... I am not miss smiley today... Thanks for letting me vent ...

    Glad to hear that they don't think you have a leak - it sounds like you are to tight - eat very slowly - chew well and take tiny bites - little sips of water - if you are having too hard of a time - you can always go back and have a little taken out. I was too tight for about a week after a 1cc fill - my doc took out .08 cc and now I still have restriction but can drink a cup of coffee in the morning w/no problems.. Plus as you loose weight the band is suppose to loosen - but make sure you get your protein and fluids in - that's very important - and take your vitimans. I find if I don't I bruise really easy... Our bands are so fickled - they just don't make sense at times... Blessings

    Peaches - So your band is now holding your fills - that's great - yep being to tight is a "B" Karri - I would have said Volleyball pratice was my exercise :biggrin2: - you go girl . Sonya - None of us are prefect 24/7 - I love pot pies - but once I found out how many calories are in them (yrs ago from WW) I refuse to touch them - even in my fat days - I haven't had one in years. Good Luck on your fill - hope it does the trick for you... I am scheduled to go to doc's on the 26th of this month - I seriously doubt I will get a fill - if I take a big sip of Water I get stuck - I miss guzzling water :biggrin: Jackie - Great on the Exercise :rolleyes2:- I am going to be babysitting Grandaughters tonight Wed & Thurs - so I don't know if I will be able to get to the gym on those days -but my little GD who's 4 likes to go for walks - so I plan on doing that for 2 reason - 1 exercise & 2 - to wear her little butt out - don't ask me how I am going to survive a 4 yr old for 2 nights. My whole routine is going to be a mess and for those who are in my age bracket you will totally understand. I love my peace & quite - and my little Brooke is far from being quite :biggrin: - she is at that WHY stage :frown: Ok well I need to get my butt to work - I have a headache and upset stomach this morning - my legs were aching last night the dogs kept barking got up and had some liquid tyenol & vicoden (i mix them cuz straight vicoden is too much) didn't get to sleep til after midnight and I get up at 5:ohmy: - so today is going to be a long day - and I think I get DGD tonite cuz mom has to be in AZ tomorrow - OMG I can't keep things straight - I better give her a call..     Pris I was on zolfot for a little over a yr - but haven't been on it for about 3 - mine were small tabs and I think you should beable to sallow them - in fact I have some old ones in the medicine cabinet right now - yep i one of those people who don't throw old med's out - and I should cuz there are about 5 in their... Reason for being on them - work - left dh - got grandson full time - need anymore reasons- I had a full load all at once #1 No I wasn't depressed after the surgery - I know I can still eat - I just cant pig out - but I can still eat #2 do i miss it (food) - yep there are times I do and watching others eat and smelling food is very hard - so when they are eating their breakfast I would have a little omellett - but I don't think the mental aspect of eating ever goes away - like I told Sonya above who is getting a fill cuz she thinks she is eating too much when she eats about as much as I do per meal - I just make healthier food choices 98% of the time - I was so tight that I could barely drink 8 oz of coffee in the morning - I have to be able to eat more than 1/4 or even 1/2 cup per meal - I am happy with my 1 cup per meal with snack - but that's mental for me plus I don't think you are getting enought nutrients with 1/4 cup of food per meal. #3 I set my goal weight - On WW back in the late 80's early 90's I got to 170 (from my high of 206 at that time) for about a minute - I looked good and felt good - so I just picked a number - that was 80 lbs (my high this time 250) - well once Karri joined our group - she and I are about the same height and she an I were losing weght about the same and I saw that her goal was 150 - so I thought that since i was keeping up with the kid on my weight loss - why not try 160 - thats a 90 lbs loss when I make it.. Truely to have a healthy bmi I should be 145 - but at my age I don't think I would look very healthy at 145- I am in a size 12 or 10 pant - Xl to L tops - I am feeling pretty darn good - I have 14 lbs to go - who knows what will happen when I get there - I can always change my ticker if I decide that I want to lose another 15 lbs and get to 145 - but for right now - I think 160 will be fine for me - heck - unclothed it won't matter if I weigh 160 or 145 - I am going to still have flab and saggy skin -unless I see a plastic surgeon :drool: We are here for you - you were/are one of us - you started this jounery with us and you can come here anytime - we just wont' be able to help you with dumping - I know a little about it cuz I have a couple gf who have had bypass.. But your issues with food are no diff than our - share with us as we can learn from you - I feel with everyone sharing their good bad happy sad stories helps us all.. xoxox

    Ruby - I think it's a process that we all have to go through - I didn't beat myself up for the brownie last night - but did call myself STUPID... I don't lay too much guilt on myself and I just don't think it works - I really try to think possitively (sp). Ok you only lost 1/2 lbs this week - that's good - I know you felt like it should have been more cuz you didn't eat all that junk at the office - but you have lost and that's what counts - you get to put that on your ticker and not a gain - conversation to myself those 3 weeks where I just lost .5 lbs each week. Linda - I wonder if our age has something to do with not beating our selves up anymore and learning from what we have done - I know now that brownies really aren't as heavenly as I remembered them - they really weren't worth the calories - I will know that hopefully next time.     Pris I remember you cuz you had your surgery the day before me - I am happy that you were able to get the bypass and are doing well You can still come here for support - cuz we all have the same issue with food - it doesn't really matter the surgery that you used - Good Luck to you..

    Sonya What you eat daily is about what I eat (minus the candy & pizza rolls) and I sure don't think I need a fill. Breakfast - yogurt w/protein powder 5 granola chunks - Lunch one pot wonder (briming cup & should have stopped 3/4 ) ground turky cabbage eggplant onion bell peppers garlic rice pepper jack cheese - dinner will be 4 oz fish 1/2 cup veggies & 1/3 c rice - snacks will depend if I am still hungry. I guess it's personal on how much food you eat and types in order to lose weight - for me personally - mostly mentally - I need to be able to eat more than 1/2 cup of food - I eat very healthy and stay within my 1000 - 1200 daily calorie range - I want to be semi - normal - I can not go out order food and eat the whole thing like I use to - just eating 1/3 of what i ate before has been enought for me to lose. You are going to have to ask your doctor about your pain meds - I was given liqiud vicoden after surgery - so I guess it will depend on what kind of meds you take and the size of the pills - talk to your surgeon. Then band doe not limit type of exercise that you can do - execpt you can't do crunch right after surgery - but once you heal and your doc gives the go ahead - you can exercise Good luck on your journey

    Good Morning Gang Well I survived Chuckie Cheese !!!! Pizza is AWFUL even my GS said too greasy - I had to give him one of my pepcids:eek: - I ordered a salad - had a couple of bites - wasnt going down too well - then when to the kids house to open presents - ate 1/2 piece of cake & 1/4 ice cream - DIL gave us cake to take home - I said OH NO THATS TOO MUCH - my GS chimed in - ya she can't eat (but in a nice way - like she doesn't eat that stuff anymore) that and I won't eat that much - so we sent the rest home with family friend. BUT!!! DIL had brownies they made the day before (my DIL is a big girl) instead of the cake I took a piece about 3x3- well I ate it when I went to bed - you know what - I just ate it cuz it was there - it was good but not GREAT. The only saving grace is that I had 1200 calories including the brownie & little cake - so did ok that way but I am still eating cuz of the memory of food - I don't find it as appealilng as I use to but - still want to eat it does that make any sense?? Well I found a great snack food with protein - dry roasted edamame's - 1 oz 130 calories 10 grms of protein - 1 oz is a lot the bag is 6 oz (baggies size) I ate 1 oz yesterday - good for the salt crunchy times - and you are getting your protein. Jackie - Congrats on the exercise - Men - what can I say :thumbup: can't live with then - can't live without them (well I can uz I just don't have the patience anymore:blush: ) Well, it's 8 got get my desk ready for the day...     Welcome Lynne This is the greatest place to learn and receive support - Congrats on your upcomming surgery - I really should lose 100 lbs too but at my age 90 is going to be my goal - I feel soo much better and truly have finally gotten that in order to lose this weight - I do have to make a lifetime lifestyle change in my eating and exercise habits. In fact last night I wanted healthy food not my mex leftovers (yes now adays we do have left overs:biggrin:) food - things do change...     Good Morning Gang I am up early again today - I might go to the gym - it's really my day off but I will be having BDAY CAKE today... But I have a little headache I think I need Water - yesterday I know that I didn't get enought - I am on my 3rd cup of coffee so that does count .. Not much to report - gotta wrap presents - go to chuckie cheese (ugh not looking forward to that - kids and noise - but gotta do it. Linda you will enjoy these things with your 1st grandchild but by the time you get to your 3rd you will think a little differently :laugh: My age does show at times. But I will go and fake having fun - well will have a little fun cuz I get to eat cake today :drool: Yep Karri - it's funny how our taste does change :biggrin: - I ate about a full cup of my califlower and it hit the spot -- I might have to look for that book - I need some help in that area - I have a $40 gift card from Barns & Noble that I got at Xmas - Well just wanted to ck in this morning - I need to get my butt in gear - I still need to go to the grocery store - wrap and figure out what to do until we go to chuckie cheese - I am so indecisive - don't know where to start - cuz I really don't want to do anything but feel guilty for just sitting around ... OMG I use to sleep my weekends away - things have changed:biggrin:

    4 oz of Catfish - baked with a little evoo garlic salt & peper 1/4 c rice 1/2 c yellow crooked neck sqaush & zuchinee mixed (fresh) I eat this most nights - change the veggies from french style green beans, spinach, green beans - and some times add some El Pato (mexican tomato sauce) to my fish - or pramensen (sp) cheese - or cajun seasonings -

    Hi Jennifer - Yes you are worth it !!!:eek: I love my band for the great tool it is - I love me for doing the work that it take to lose the weight - I am 7 months out 76 lbs lighter. Feel 200% better and 10 yrs younger. I eat healthy 98% of the time - I exercise 3-5 days a week depending on my schedule - For me it hasn't been that hard - I went thru major surgery to get this tool - so my head is totally in the game - I know that I must make a lifetime lifestyle change in my eating and exercise habits - this is not a diet but a new way of life. It's not the magic cure to our issues with food but it is a geart tool to help control your portions. All you have to do is eat healthy and add exercise into your life and you will do great. For lunch had 1/2 soft taco - and brought my chilli relleno home for dinner - well guess what - I didn't want it -I wanted fish & veggies - so that's what I ate - I am no craving healthy foods ....     Karri - I need to do more weights too but I am beat after my treadmill work out and I read the calories burned on the treadmill - I don't know how may calories are burned when working out - I want to get a trainer for a week or two - but the guy I think I want is always busy when I am at the gym - plus I am a little intimidated (sp) by them - but I do see other older women working out with them.. Do you have to do soup for 3 weeks :cool2: I only have to do them for 1 but ususally move to mushie/soft after 3 days.. Linda - since my diet is mostly soft foods and I think I don't have restriction then try to eat something more solid - OMW I too see that I do still have restriction.. Well, reported that I didn't have to cook - but guess what ladies - I don't want mexican food - I want veggies- talking about a NSV - wanting something healthy instead of something greasy & fattening - I am steaming some yellow califlower - I have never had it before - but suppose to be good I don't know what it's hybred with... But I am craving healthy food not bad foods... Things do change :eek:

Denise - I think you are suppose to respone to unanswered post - help the newbie - stop fight - threaten to lock threads :eek: , tell them how to get a ticker - support - blah blah blah - I haven't really see anyone get mean on a regular thread lately - but omg in the rants and raves - it gets very heated - but thats where it's allowed to a degree - But if I see a problem - I will let you know - I surf the other threads every now and then and ck unanswered post and am ALWAY giving newbies the links to get a ticker. I know that there is a thread in the rants about the questions newbies ask heck I have posted there - but it's not easy to find the answers to their questions - I think there needs to be a thread in the 1st section Introductions that say - Here is how you get a tiicker - here is what pb means - all that stuff is way down in frequestly asked questions.. hard to find.. JBFlorida - Welcome !!! I am in Califorina so can't help with docs - But I can tell you that it is possible to become a person who eats for nutrition. I think about the stuff I don't eat anymore - mostly fried foods and tons of it - I don't obesse about food as much - do i miss it - ya sometimes - tonite went to Walgreens - tons of easter candy is out - I walked by that section real fast - candy goes down real easy - really haven't eaten any since being banded - oh wait I am lying I had a couple pieces at halloween - but I stay away from it - cuz if I eat it I am not going to lose weight - I have so much more energy - I feel so much better - I enjoy my healthy meals - I am lucky I don't have really anything I can't eat - This is a lifetime lifestyle change - and after so many years of hearing this - I think i finally got it - it took having major surgery to make it sink in - but I think it finally has - I eat healthy 98% of the time - I exercise 3 to 4 days a week - I think I am on the road to recovery from my addiction of food - but like any addict - it will always be with you - some days are better than others but it is doable.     Ruby I am going to spank you - 1 lbs is great heck didn't you lose a whole bunch when you were so tight - you can't expect to lose 3 lbs a week every week - I know we want to but you gotta give your body time to catch up... Be happy it is a pound closer...:eek:

    Hey Gang Back from getting nails done (toes & fill) - went back to the beauty shop and had my stylist fix the back of my hair - it was a little uneven - then went to eat - I was hungry it's 1:30 and I havent eaten all day. - ordered a soft taco, chilli relleno, rice and bean plate - ate 1/2 taco and a couple bites of the beans - when am I going to learn that I can't eat - well i have dinner for tonight and don't have to cook - :cool2: W ent to target got DGD 2 bathing suits - 4 or 5 short outfits - a dress and some shoes - floaties for the pool this summer. I am pooped - have had a headach most of the day. I did not shop for myself at all can you beleive that :eek: I think i an just tried from what I don't know - got enought sleep last night took my vitimans today - just tired and I don't think it's from the wine last night. Well, that was my exciting day.. It's 5 p.m. so I guess I will go see what's on tv and read my Self magazine. Will ck back later...
