Hey Gang I tried to post this morning - but the pages were loading slower than a turtle so I gave up.. How is everyone today - I had today off - I didn't exercise cuz I am a tad still under the weather - Went and donated 8 or 9 bags of clothes to Martha's Village - Dropped off my Taxes - Broke a deal - I bought a skirt & blouse - then to target - groceries - home - made some turkey chilli ate a cup and vaccumed and now on the computer.. Were is everyone today ??? Last night I had to bag up the cupcakes I made grandson for his bday as they were calling to me - so put them in zip lock and said here put these in your room - today when shopping wanted to by cheesecake for gs for easter - but put it back cuz I would have eaten it. Since I am not feeling hot - I want to eat and as we all know the bad stuff goes down too easily.... Ok no one has mentioned the recent changes to the site... now when you go look at someones profile it shows new stuff - I added you all as friends but don't know what you have to do on your side - have any of you gotten anything requesting friendship - I know phyl did cuz she is shown as a friend. I haven't ck'd today to see if I have new friends - last time was just wassa & phyl... Well, my babies go to the groomer at 7:30 a.m. - so tomorrow will be an early day - hopefully will go to the gym after I drop them off... I got a 40% coupon for coldwater creek - may just have to ck it out:tongue: Ok - I will ck back later....

1 oz of meat = 7 Grms of Protein 1/2 cup egg beaters 14 grms of protein you only have to have 30 grms of protein a day - my doc 60 grms. -
Peaches CONGRATS on getting that rowing machine out - 10 minutes - I bet I couldn't even do that - you go girl - I hate that you have to have surgery again - but hopefully this time you will get a band that works... With the restriction & excercise - you are going to be one hot momma

Hey there Chim - So Great to hear from you... I am sorry that you have had a little set back - but like someone said - we aren't perfect - the only thing we can do - is pick ourselves up and keep on truckin forward. Ok - Get your A$$ back to the gym - I just don't allow myself to stop going - I fight with myself daily as I drive home from work - to go or not to go - well I know if I stop going - I will get out of the habit and then trying to get re-motivated - ya been there done that - so I just don't stop. I allow myself 2 days off - I don't always make 5 days - lately its been more like 3-4 days a week depending on life. Clean the house of all the junk and get back on healthy eating - drinking your water - You can not allow yourself to slip back into your old eating habits - Even being tight I can eat almost everything - heck you have already read I have had 1 1/2 cup cakes in the last 2 days - but that's it - my 2% - That how I manage this whole issue - I eat healthy 98% of the time and allow myself 2% of treats - I don't feel deprived. You can do this - I know you can - how's your body bugg - are you still using it - Jackie here has one too... I hope your little bump in the road "Life" wasn't too bad - I understand those things... Welcome Back WE ARE HERE FOR YOU....

Thanks !!! I love my band - it is a great tool - I love LBT as it is a great resource for support & education. I follow a weight watchers eating plan cuz I think it is the most well balanced - I can't do straight protien - I need my starches - I don't eat tons - but I do have rice for dinner almost every night.

I live in Coachella Valley - Dr. Bobbie Palm Springs did my surgery I am down 80.5 lbs - 9.5 to go to goal - all in all - i dont think this has been hard at all - i eat healthy 98% of the time allow myself treats occaissionally not often but enought - I exercise 3-4 times a week - I think I have finally got it - that this is a lifetime lifestyle change in my eating/exercise habit... It took 52 yrs - but by golly I think I got it.

I really think it was from Sunday at the bday party I went to it was this house out in the middle of the desert - and the wind was blowing - who knows - just waiting for the meds to kick in - I hate this plugged up ear... Ruby - I totally get it - My gs bday way Tues - i ate one cupcake that night (allowable - bday celebration) But last night ate the top half of another.. :eek: Wanted more - you know sugar aka our heroin - calls us - but thankfully for my band all I could eat was 1/2 the cupcake - the bad half with the frosting - but still only 1/2 were as before I would have eaten 3 or 4 cupcakes.. Good choice not really - but not that bad either cuz I was still in my calorie budget for the day... I love choc covered marshmellow.. I am sure glad I don't have little ones to have to buy the junk for - It really is a blessing for me - cuz when I was in walgreens the other day - those reese peanutbutter eggs were calling my name.... I am so thankful cuz those would be eaten by me and the whole frickin bag... Yep you are now back on the road to recovery both phyically and mentally... I am glad your girls are fixed and looking good..

Good Afternoon Gang The site has been down all morning.... Kristin - Glad your baby is better... I have a scale - it cost about $100 got it at Bed Bath & Beyond - It gives all the info like carb - calorie - protein - saulter I think - I don't remember it - I will look tonite. Phyl had one but i didn't know what kind it was - the only thing I really got it for was calories and protein cuz that's all I count Linda - Sorry you picked up the bug - I went to the doctors today cuz my ear is plugged and I sure and the hell don't want an earache - earaches and toothache are the very worst pain in the whole wide world - they gave me - 7 days of Levaquin 500 mg - Mucinex - Advair inhaler - why i don't know last night coughed a little but no biggy - it's my head that is just all plugged.. Food and celebrations - If they don't need all this fattening food why don't you just plan a liter menu - aren't they supportive of your band?? If it's at your house then I would think you could have a little bit of control - If you don't have little kids why have the frickin candy at all - doesn't sound like the adults need it.. Step up and put your foot down - get them on the band wagon and prepare your sister for what her new life is going to be like. That being said I had last meal mentality from 5/31 until 7/8 the day my preop diet started... Well, It's time to eat - I will ck back later

Karri Isn't BF going part time - won't you guys have more time together... I think you have a EXCELLENT BF and that's coming from a seasoned woman.. Yep I don't think eating popcorn as my main source of food would be ideal .. I didn't want to flake on my new trainer was part of the reason - plus on Monday I slept most of the day and he really didn't work me too hard infact he asked if I was sore and I said no - and today I feel so much better - snotty but better and felt good after the work out which he pushed me more today - so by Friday my muscles will be aching.. Since I am off on Friday - I will go to the gym in the morning and Sat too... Ok you are going to the doc tomorrow - and then most likely spending time with your brother?? Where are you going M-W anything fun?? I am noisy:biggrin: - we use to get off 1/2 on Friday and I always would go shopping - but since I have sworn off shopping til I get to goal - I guess I will exercise and after that who knows - maybe get grandaughters and color eggs... 13 yr GD leaves Monday for Washington DC - NY trip with her school. I gotta go get some camera for her and spending cash - I was glad that I was able to send her - she will have some great memories... I would love to go - just don't think I could stand being around all those kids for 5 days... I understand the mental health - a lady at work had a dream about me that I was anorexia and said I still had 20 lbs to loose... Ya right - we know it was a dream - but afraid of stopping too... Well tomorrow is my weight in day and I have no idea - on how I have done this last week.. Ok it's 8 time to eat - Karri have a safe trip and enjoy yourself - we will talk to you on Sunday... xoxox Janet

Kristin How is your kitty cat??? Pbing - can open me up - i have read that others are llike that too - it's funny I can be full and still able to eat popcorn with no problems - popcorn is a slider food - but for me when I am mentally hungry it does the trick... but you know what for lunch i had about 3 oz of steak left from last night if that much and didn't eat all my veggie which was one cup - so ya - maybe i am tighter but to me yesterday morning those tatoes when down with no problems ...- I am having my other lobster tail for dinner tonite - i think i am going to have to weigh it cuz it looks pretty big maybe 6 oz - now you know my brain has changed when I say 6 oz is big..:thumbup: OMW i would eat pounds of lobster before... Haven't really been hungry cuz of this cold - but i gotta say not being hungry still doesn't stop me from eating - i know it's dinner time and I get to eat - plus I know now I have to eat to keep my metabolism going and dinner is the most important meal to me.. I wonder why - maybe cuz when I was a kid we all sat down and ate together - good memories???

Ok gang - I am back and you all are gone NSV today & Monday - went to the gym and worked with trainer even though i am sick !!!!! Dedication to becoming a strong fit old broad - heck the next thing you know I will be in the body building magazines ha ha ha ha on that one - though you all could use a laugh.... OMW - that would be very hard cuz I hate sweets 24/7 - I guess I was very lucky with my doc 10 days full liquids included soups - then 10 day mushie - 10 soft and then regular. I do have to go back to post-op diet after a fill but i only do 3 or 4 days liquids then move to mushie - mushie is not prob for me - Hugs to you on shakes - I don't think I would have made it on shakes for that long

Peaches What happen to your pic??? Wasn't sure it was you... OMG I you have to have surgery again - 3/29 - so they have decided you have a defective band - Well, at least you will get a band that works and keeps it restriction - you will be a skinny mini by July... I have 5 cc in my band - I have the new band - larger don't know if it's 14 or 10 cc - and I think I am on the tight side of my sweet spot.. We will keep you in our prayer... My cold/allergies - are better today - went to the gym and worked out with trainer - i am going to be sore in a couple of days - but that's ok with me . I am going to get strong... I need the muscle...

Steph - I can't say I have really noticed a diff it the tightness - yesterday morning was hungry made some hash browns 1/2 c - eggs 2 & sauage - ate 1 link - 1/2 the eggs and all the tatoes - then didn't eat until dinner - I had room after i spit up - really wasn't a pb - slime really - but anytime I have pd'/slimed/spit up - I am usually open after the episode (sp) I refuse to give support the way you have explain - that's called enabling - and we are all in this together.. I don't want you to enable me and I am not enabling you... We have the best group on this whole LBT... We are real and give tough band love. Well back to work... ck ya all later

Good Morning Gang I am back with the living sort of - I am at work - I slept yesterday then went to dinner with GS & Lil Bro last night ate 2 bites of lobster and was in the bathroom - spit up a little came back and had a couple more bites then baged up my food - was able to eat lobster once I got home - and then had a cupcake.. My head is still plugged - Karri I am like you I ususally don't get headaches often - but this sinus/head cold - what ever it is has given me one. Prisc - Congrates on ONELANDER !!!!! We are so happy for you... About fills - my doc does blind fills - he gives me numbing shot then finds my port and insert this needle - and fills as I drink water - he then will leave the needle in and have me finish the water... I find that you do get tighter after a day or 2 - my last fill had to have some taken out and when I go back on the 26th - i sure and the hell am not getting anymore added - I think i am on the tight side of my sweet spot. Karri - I agreed with you - I think people who like to be so tight as not to eat is very unhealthy .. I don't think you are learning good eating & management tools to your weight loss being so frickin tight... I think we need to learn how to eat healthy - and manage our issue with food - I tivo'd "i can make you thin" and the 1st episode was good put down the fork between bites - I slept thru some of it - but next week is about emotional eating - this will be very good for all of us.. Ok - I gotta get to work.... Will ck back later.. Thanks for all the well wishes and missing me :biggrin:

I am alive - I glance throught the post - I gotta go back and read but - have either allergies or a head cold.... I went to a bday party yesterday in Desert Hot Springs and the wind blowing the house smelled like popurri (sp) and by the time we left at 7 I had a major headache - this morning woke up with it - and didn't go to work - I could have but gosh I haven't had a sick day in 2 yrs... I did sleep for about 5 hrs so I think my body needed it - I haven't slept like that in ages... but i did go to the gym to meet my trainer... I don't have a fever so I went - I feel a little better - but head is pretty plugged up. all I really gathered cuz I really didn't read everthything - Karri - too tight - sorry hugs Jackie - The big Winner Patti C - from what I gathered Phyl & Karri have given you some great advise -my advice brain is not working right now - just remember this is a lifetime lifestyle change - we are going to fall down -now just pick yourself up - dust off your butt and start over... Kristen - I am here :thumbup: just not really up to thinking cuz of the head issues... So I will close for now gang... Just wanted you all to know nothing bad has happend I just am not 100% and typed reading and thinking aren't in the game today - so I will ck w/you all tomorrow... I am going to work I think and tomorrow is my GS 17th bday & my baby bro 50th so we are going to some steak house for dinner Flemmins - never been - but gs has with his mom he likes the halibut there - I will be eating steak cuz i eat fish at home.. ok - i gotta take some tyelnol my head is killing me... xoxoxo Janet

Karri Congrats on your 4 lbs Yep isn't it funny how we use to stay in the house all weekend before (well except goiing to the store to buy food that we would eat while locked up in the house:biggrin:) I went to the gym did my 3.5 miles - saw my trainer and said look no hands on a 6 inclined :tongue: Came home showered when and tanned and now just waiting to leave to go see Phyl... I have made a vow no more shopping until I get to goal.... So I am glad I have something to do today and tomorrow going to a 60th bday party - I really don't know the girl - but know the people throwing it - we have met and we do go to the same hair dresser - Linda Oh girl I AM SO PROUD OF YOU FOR GOING TO THE GYM...:sneaky::thumbup: I know that you have been fighting exercise - but it so much easier once you get the weight off - 20 min mile is very very good... incline even better. You gotta make yourself a promise to get to the gym minimum 2 days a week if not 3 - and once you find out it's not that hard increase it to 3 - 4 days a week - I believe it is what has helped me the very most. I love the challenge - I say ok you can do .50 more miles - you gotta get you and ipod and load it with upbeat musice from our era or whatever musice you like - I rock out to my itunes as I walk - it helps pass the time... Linda, don't you have any gf who you can do things with?? How is that girl you are mentoring?? I wish you could be here too cuz I think you need a big in person hug... So since I can do it in person - here is a big cyber hug (HUG).. We are here for you.... Ok my soup is ready - I havent eaten today and I want to put a little something in my tummy before I go hang out with my wino gf phyl - cuz you know we will have a glass or 2

129 lbs gone is a big deal be proud.. - I am afraid of how to maintain - losing it so far hasn't been hard - but maintaining ????? I have lost it before but never maintained... I only weigh in once a week - the scales flucuate too much - so I only do it on Thursday Mornings (that was the day I got home from the hospital).. Yep looking forward to meeting you...
